Bricked Flyer - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

Anyone,
Htc Flyer bricke today. I did all the push and hold power button down but all i keep getting is it reboots into a white screen and the HTC words. I called htc but i have s off and they cant help me can it be saved or is it dead. Help please anyone.

Try to boot into the bootloader by holding the power button and volume down. And then do a factory reset. Then see if it starts back up after that.

Thanks but already tried that and still no go any other suggestions.

I have tried that and no go.

I don't know man. My flyer did the same thing last night after I tried to restart it. Kept boot looping to the HTC white screen even after holding the power button. Then I just held the power and volume down button till it went to the bootloader screen, then went to recovery and did a factory reset from there and it cut back on.

1. You can try first a soft-reset and still hold the volumn-down button after it, to see if it enter the bootloader.
2. You can try a hard-reset (factory reset).
How to do this with hardware buttons.

Bricked Help please!

My brother has a stock alltel 6800, brand new. He wanted to upgrade to dcd's ROM like I did but he thought he had to flash the 3.27 radio after the ROM so now he is stuck at the alltel screen. I have tried everything i could to fix it (which is still not that much because im just starting to flash myself) and nothing has worked.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
What dcd did you flash?
Hold down the power and camera button and hit the soft reset. Make sure you hold down the power and camera button after you soft reset till boot loader screen comes up. Load org rom.

DCD 2.3.2
and i did try holding down power+camera and hitting reset but it just restarts and goes to the alltel screen

i did but it just stays on the alltel screen
i know its suppose to bring you to the bootloader but when i tried it just did a soft reset
You have to HOLD them all down UNTIL screen pops up...if you let go to early it will just reset.
well its still not working
i just want to know if there is any way that you can get stuck on this screen with no way to fix it because for all i know one of the buttons might be broken

Pull the battery out, leave it out for 10 seconds, put it back in. Don't press the power button, but instead, hold power+camera and reset to enter the bootloader.
no good
tell me what i should do EXACTLY and what i should see while doing it then

hold power+camera and have your stylus pressing the button on the bottom of the phone...hold until rainbow screen
first of all, should it even be going through the reset routine (vibrates, htc screen, alltel)? because no matter what i do whenever i press (or hold) down the power button it resets.
So you are holding the power button and the camera button and having your stylus holding in the reset button on the bottom of the phone? HOLDING ALL OF THEM...lets say for 10secs?
still not working, just resets.
well one last question then,
i take out the battery, wait a little and put it back in, i hold down the buttons and it turns on, goes to the htc screen, then alltel screen.
is this how it is suppose to look or is it suppose to go straight to the bootloader because im now very certain that it must be a button malfunction
when holding in the buttons like that it should go to a tricolor screen...not reset...it will just reset if not held in long enough though
It is tricky but,,,,,
I have one that my camera button is sort of recessed a little and hard to make work, maybe his is also and may be even broken like he says as it is behaving like he is not holding the camera button. If it is new then I would take it back to them and say "it just did this" and play greeeeeen as grass dumb,,,,that is if you reeeeeeeally can not get it to the bootloader screen which would help.

[Q] No display after attempted .28 update

Hi guys,
I tried to update my BONE STOCK Prime to the .28 update. I walked away for about a hour, came back and the screen is black, and nothing I do can turn the thing on.
I've done the following.
Held the power button from 2-120 seconds
Held Power Button + Vol Down from 10-120 Seconds
Pushed the Reset button for 30 seconds.
The only kind of response from the tablet I get is a vibration. The screen never turns on.
Does anybody have any other ideas that my get this thing started back up?
Hold vol up and down and power for a short while before the vibraation occurs. Then release vol up and you should be good. May take several trys.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it did not work.
Any other ideas out there?
let it drain completely so when holding power button it doesn't vibrate etc.
charge for 5 minutes. does red battery icon come on?
hold paperclip pinhole in for 30 seconds. release. does it boot or is it still black screen.
if still black screen, contact Asus. you may have it stuck in APX mode.

[Q] Crack+No touch response - what's broken.

I dropped the flyer yesterday which isn't uncommon and it seemed fine after and I used it normally for the rest of the day. This morning I picked it up noticed a crack and the touchscreen won't respond so I can't unlock it.
Power on and rotation is working fine but I can't manage a reset as it is locked.
I was about to scarper off and look at Nexus 7/Kindle Fire HD prices but checking here it might be a matter of a glass screen/digitiser replacement? Is this correct?
Sounds like digitizer to me.
You can try a factory reset from hboot, as hboot only uses the volume and power buttons to navigate.
Hold down power button until the Flyer powers off. When the screen is black, hold down the volume down rocker (don't let go of it, until I say so later). The Flyer will either reboot itself, otherwise you can press power for a few seconds and release to power on. Keep holding the vol down rocker, until the white hboot screen appears.
I ordered a replacement Digitizer and will attempt this when I have time. I was able to do a HTC sync so it seems to be alive but I'm reluctant to hard reset as the I'm probably losing the dat for nothing.

[Q] Stuck with CM10 spinning around

I unlocked my HOX+ today and rooted the phone. All went well, however I flashed my first rom the CM10 international and flashed the kernel, however the phone is stuck at the CM10 logo stage.
I have no idea how to get back in to recovery. I can;t even power down the phone so that I can re-install a nandroid backup of my original rom. The CM10 logo is just spinning around. Normally I would pull the battery but!!!
Help please
Devices with non-removable batteries have hardware key combinations to manually reboot the phone. With the One X+ that combination just so happens to be Power Button + Volume Down. Just hold those keys until you see the hboot screen.
Thanks.
It took several attempts of holding down those buttons, eventually it restarted and I was able to access recovery.

Just holding the power button will reboot phone, once the phone vibrates then hold vol down aswell. I find thats the best way to get back to the BL after a bad flash

Try holding volume down and plugging the phone into a charger while doing so. On my current HTC Desire 601 it allows me to get to the recovery menu and I can reboot the phone from there into Android. Let me know if that helps!:good:

That's quite odd it didn't work but it could be because my HTC Desire 601 is rooted. I wonder... Did you happen to leave the fastboot option on in the power settings? I'm going to run a few trials to see if I can replicate your issue when I get home and see if there is a way to use a fastboot command from the charging screen. How long did you hold the volume down button? For mine I hold it down until I get to the recovery menu. It will flash the charging screen for a few seconds and after a while go into recovery.
Edit: So I found out through experimenting that my phone is set up to always go into recovery no matter what when I plug in the charger while the phone is off so I'm not sure if I can directly assist you until my new device comes in the mail.
You could try removing the battery and putting it back, and it might reboot. If you're able to turn it on, you may want to try installing an app called Gravity Screen. Basically it makes use of your phone's proximity sensor turn the screen on and off.
hello ive got a htc drsire 601 an my power is broke an I cant urn it on ive tried to hold the volume button down an that dosent work is there any other way to turn it back on?
