Anyone got an zip/apk for this one?
I posted a zip in the "make your own theme" thread. It's got the stock gb Framework and SystemUI apks which probably has the files you're looking for. What are you looking to do?

does anyone know a way to make the Droid 2 notification bar black?
I'm running the stock rom and i don't want to flash any other one.
so can anyone help me?
Just use any theme you see here with a black notification bar... or do a search for black notification bar.... searching is key

I found a theme.....but do all notification bar themes work on any phone?
Crap didn't mean to thank you for that post.
All themes under droid 2 themes and apps should work as long as they are made for your rom
Do you need to be deodexed to apply themes like this?(excluding metamorph and ninjamorph)
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App
I don't think you necessarily have to be, but it is recommended.
Completely wrong
You need to be deodexed or flashing themes will FAIL.
I would just recommend using fission and then flashing a theme over fission. Fission has tons of features and themes and you'll like your phone much better after that. Any custom rom is deodexed though so it should work with any rom.

I said what I said because I had read that there were some deodexed themes. Not sure how true that is though, as being that I've never actually tried looking for any.
thanks for the tip.
i just flashed Fission with the black theme, works fine and is amazing
thx again
I'm not sure what deodexed means. Does this mean I can't change the notification bar theme on stock rom?

Anyone?

U have to run a custom rom to change the color to black for example: liberty 2.0.1

Old thread. I did it using metamorph and am now on liberty 2.0.1. Thanks though

If you're running the D2's stock ROM, they your most likely ODEXED. As they said before, install any custom ROM and you'll then be DEODEXED. Hope this helps...

I have been wondering this same thing, and after some research and googling I found a very simple solution. Locate my post titled "Theme Kitchen" and go to the link provided. It is a theme kitchen, it has instructions included on how to do everything.

Try using the bamf remix extras thread. There's like 7 of them in there.

They work on the stock rom?

Extract framework-res.apk from the rom.
Upload to UOT kitchen. Add in custom battery icon and/or whatever else you want.
Flash zip in recovery.
Never done my own mods before... hmm. I guess thats the next logical step if no one else has any. Ok off to learn how then

Bamf remix mods worked perfect! Thank you

Hi everybody,
I've tested flashing custom UOT themes on Gingerbread and they work just great. I've included a link to the stock android files so you can now cook your own custom themes in UOT Kitchen. The only elements that don't work are boot animations lock screens. Use amend scripting and load up the two files in the zip below and you're good to go. Have fun! Once you have the zip from UOT, just flash it like a rom in recovery.
Download:

Zip contains framework and system ii files for stock GB. May work on ROMs but untested.

No, no, no, perhaps I should clarify. These are the files you need to plug into UOT kitchen to make YOUR OWN themes. You can make a gb theme if you want...it's all there.

Yeah, UOT has been overloaded for a while. I was going to test something with CRT on it, but haven't for the last week :/

Makes me sad, i was going to use it xD
seems like a good site just its been updating sence yesterday
if you pick something that doesnt work will it just not work or will it brick and force you to recover?
It just won't show. It's not really optimized for stock motorolla stuff and some of our files have wonky names compared to stock android stuff so things don't match up. When we get true custom ROMs we will be able to do more. At this point, everything is essentially reskinned and reworked blur under the hood.

edit: nevermind.
Anyways, useful post! Thank you.
Ok the kitchen is back online so you all should be good to go. Remember these files are for stock GB and may not work on custom ROMs. Use at your own risk!

Hey, euro, could you somehow possible post a zip for the default theme so that we can go back to that if we so desire? By that I mean the default gb one specifically on our x2s

Actually just replacing your modified APKs with the stock ones above should take you back to stock. If you want a flashable zip I can make one but it might be a while.
You can also flash themes on top of each other if you don't like how it turns out.

Does anyone knows an easy way to do it?
Couldn't find anything for t959..
Here is a transparent status bar that you apply through Metamorph app in the Market.

This only for 2.3 rom.
Uotkitchen is the easiest to do it.

thanks guys
I made a transparent status bar for Zendroid using uot kitchen. Had mixed results with other roms.
Sent from my T959 using XDA App
Zendroid has the framework-res file uploaded to UOTkitchen. Afaik it is the only one that has and you don't have to do it yourself. With Metamorph you just apply the XML. Another app is called Zipthemer which will create an update.zip as well as an undo.zip too. I have used both and they work.
Well, as the topic states, I'm running CM9 on my DX2 and I would like to have a transparent status bar. Does anyone know how hard, if it is at all possible to implement on ICS. And if it is, is there a solution to this issue or if there is not, how I would even begin to go about it? Any help is appreciated.
TIA,
Matt (syn-ack on freenode)
