I just received and opened my gsm 3vo.. It's awesome of course! However, there is NO 3D content on it at all.. So I wonder, where can I (legally) get some 3d content like movies etc? Or what file names should I look for? Thanks!

Ok that's something but it would have been much better if they included at least a few 3d things..
Like the optimus 3D games, can they be found somewhere?
Gameloft has some 3d games.
You are looking for side by side 3d content. So search for that in the filename. Also try searching for sbs. There are some movies out there under sbs, I found it.

On the 4G we had an app in the tray that would let u text an app link called app share. It's not on the 3D. Anyone figured out a way to do this yet.

Ya i searched "app share" in market and nothing like it came up

Well there's an app called "bump" that will share whatever you want. The other device needs to be in proximity, fyi.
Right bump sucks. I used it before. Was looking to send stuff to someone who I wasn't around like my brother 3 hours away. The app share that was on my 4G just let them text them the market link. That is what I was looking for. Got it worked out thanks to bmoreboy02

You can share your apps by doing the following...
Open up the Htc Likes app. Select the downloads icon. Hit menu, hit share, select app, choose method. Done deal.

I was going to ask the same thing. For mplayer and Rockplayer, there's actually an option to toggle between 2D and 3D or does it automatically play SBS movies in 3D?
mobo player does it automatically for yt3d downloaded videos. you cant force sbs into 3d though. i cant for the life of me figure out how or what the 3d tag is on yt3d videos. there should be a way to add the tag yourself to force 3d, i just cant figure it out.

A little backround info about the youtube app for the Evo 3D: If you download youtube from google play(doesn't matter if you're rooted or not), it will not play HD(High Definition) video; only HQ(High Quality). If you haven't noticed already, HQ isn't really much different than the normal video. The reason it doesn't play HD is that our device's screen is not technically considered an HD screen because of the pixel density(Evo 3D is qHD:960X540 HD is 1280X720). However, HD videos play fantastically on our device, so Google fails for not allowing youtube to upscale to HD. Fortunately, there's a fix for this. For those of you who want youtube videos to play in 720p HD(not sure why you wouldn't...), instead of crappy HQ, I have a working apk attached. Simply download, put on your sd card, and install like you would any other third party apk, and if you have youtube installed already, or if it came embedded in your rom, just say ok or yes when it asks if you want to replace the system app. I've installed it myself and tested it, and there are no weird bugs, glitches, discoloring, missing lines, cut off portions, weird aspect ratio, etc. It works flawlessly, and any video shot in HD looks crystal clear. Came from beneath-a-burning-turtle's Common Sense 1.7 rom, so thank him, not me.
Wow! What a difference! I thought that the video quality could have been better on YouTube. Now it is. WAY better! Thanks allot!

Here's my problem.
Once I downloaded it and tried to install it, it gave me an error message saying that the install was not done because a package with the same name already exists.
How do I get past this? Also, how can you move to card after download, but before install? Do you need a pc for that (which I am not by at the present)?

You need to delete the original from system/app, then put the HD one in, and make sure the permissions are set right (rw-r--r--) I recommend using root explorer, its a dollar or two on the market, but its worth it

Go to settings>security and make sure unknown sources is checked then try again. If it says 'this will replace a system app do you still want to install?' click ok and it should install, if not uninstall the youtube that's already on your device, if you can't then just root your phone.
Will I still be able to play 3d YouTube videos using this?

I'm looking for an app that you can watch movies for free. I found one called peliculas hd. But, the picture doesn't come through really clear with my mhl/hdmi adapter. Any suggestions? Please nobody say Netflix. LOL. I would have to be a caveman if I wasn't aware of Netflix.

You can try the official version @ xbmc.org, it's an apk that's installed normally. Or you can go HERE and find a "nightly" community optimized version. I use the latter and I've no complaints.
