WMC (Windows Media Center) Remote to control Transformer - Eee Pad Transformer Accessories

Hi!
Is it possible to use a Windows Media Center Remote with it's USB Receiver to control a Asus eee Tab Transformer TF101?
Does the Android OS detect the Receiver correctly and do the Buttons like "Play" "Back", "Next", ... work?
thx

[Q] USB Media Remote to control Transformer

Hi!
I'm searching for a USB peripheral to control volume, play/pause, next/back.
Any device to recommend for the Transformer?
This would allow you to use an android phone to control your tablet

Logitech MX Air works excellent as a mouse (on the desk or in the air) and as a media controller!

Mause for EEE TF101

Hello,
Just want to share my experience using mouse with TF101
I bought Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000TG4BA0/ref=pe_175190_21431760_cs_sce_dp_1
EEE connected to it right a way,
Left Button - Selection
Right Button - Back Button
Scroll - On Page as Scroll, On Desktop - Scrolls Desktops
Also there is a button for your thumb responding as Menu
Let me know if you have questions.
The other day I was working on my desktop with my TF101 and my Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo was lying around. Just for curiosity, I connected the usb receiver to the TF and test the mouse. It seem to work perfect! I don't remember if I tried the keyboard but probably it works too.
Lol i thought of a completely different thing with a mause
Mouse/KB works very well. My naga's extra 12 buttons even works as the numpad on a keyboard (just like it does on a PC).
And with the latest splashtop update rightclicking is so much more pleasant when remote controlling a PC
Controlling android with a mouse feels a bit awkward though. You can tell it really isnt designed for it. But its awesome for remote pc sessions.

[Q] Pairing Logitech MX5500 Keyboard/Mouse with ATP??

I've got a Logitech MX5500 keyboard and mouse combo for my PC. I have no intention on buying a dock, however since they keyboard and mouse are bluetooth, I thought I'd find out if I could pair it with the Prime. Does anyone know how to set this up or if it is possible?
The Logitech SetPoint software has a Bluetooth Connection Assistant included, and the Prime will recognize and pair with the Bluetooth dongle on the PC, but the keyboard and mouse will not connect to the prime. I saw this video and this video which shows someone connecting the TF101 with this keyboard and mouse, but he doesn't explain how that is accomplished.
After running the Bluetooth Connection Assistant on my Win7 PC, it shows 2 Bluetooth devices in my device drivers which both show "Bluetooth peripheral device driver not found". When attempting to pair with the keyboard or mouse, the Prime says "Cannot communicate with (Bluetooth Address)"

I have a mx5000 that I use. I just pressed the red connect button on the back of the keyboard and when I searched for Bluetooth devices my tfp found and paired to the keyboard. Never tried the mouse yet.

Thanks, I tried that as well. The keyboard and mouse both pair up with the ATP briefly when pairing it directly like you described. It asks for the PIN on the keyboard, then for the mouse it asks for the PIN on the Prime. However, after it pairs, it immediately unpairs and asks for the PIN again. This is for the keyboard or the mouse. This is different than it not pairing at all, or entering the incorrect PIN, bc it does show paired for a second when the correct PIN is entered.

[Q] Connect Midi Keyboard Via -->USB<-- to My ASUS Transformer tablet

I'd like to figure out how to connect my Yamaha MIDI keyboard to my Asus tf101 tablet for recording via hardwired USB.
I've scoured the web looking for an app or solution to this and have come up generally blank, I've tried all the free midi controller apps, but they only seem to support Wifi or Bluetooth, which my keyboard is unable to do.
I'd like to eliminate my computer as a middleman (If I'm at my computer I'd just use that) and be able to use my tablet to record on the go!
Any ideas/thoughts/help/wisdom/proverbs/ninjas would be greatly appreciated
Device Info:
ASUS Transformer tf101 running
ICS 4.0.3 Rooted
I have the dock with 2 USB 2.0 ports that I am connecting to the connecter with.
Cable:
Amazon: USB MIDI Input Output Cable Converter PC Notebook
Works fine on computer and no issues so far via usb.
Thanks!
Bump
Any Ideas?
Bump.
Can anyone help me?
Hi, I have a solution for You.
Download Grand Piano Pro from google play store works perfectly.
Download Floating Browser if You want to do something on top of the app.
I'm using worlde panda 61 midi keyboard via usb on my Transformer Prime
Yep AFAIK, Grand Piano and the Organ app from the same developer are the only 2 apps that supports USB Midi at the moment.
I made a quick video to show it working here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GygpDwYMVk
There is also USB Midi Monitor, but that is just a utility rather than an instrument or recorder.
I am really keen for more apps to come out so we can record using a USB midi controller.
Does anyone know any more apps that support USB Midi devices?
thanks,
Rich
I presume this should also work if I'm connecting my keyboard via a MIDI to USB converter then to the phone?
Thanks

If it's a standard MIDI device (ie. if you can plug it into a Windows or Mac machine and it shows up as a midi controller without needing to install any special drivers) then it should work.
Excellent thanks. I've purchased the otg cable, I'll report back.
Thanks.

Hi!
My cable arrived and I had a go at connecting up my midi keyboard. After some time I realised that the phone appeared not to be putting enough power through to the midi-usb converter that I use on my PC usually (plug and play), such that the led indicator was not lighting. I bought Grand Piano and Midi Monitor, both showed no response. When I open Midi Monitor there is a pop up that says, no MIDI device detected.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
You could try putting a powered USB hub in between the midi-usb converter and the OTG cable.
That kind of takes away the portability aspect though as you'll be tied to a power point.
But if you have one available, you could at least confirm if that is the issue.
If that does solve the issue, you could try to power the USB hub with a portable power pack... but I'm not sure i that would work...
Thank you thank you for the app listing, Gpp works for midi detection, and is pretty much what I was looking for. It didn't need any power on my tf101. I'll be sure to hit that thanks button at midnight x)
I have a TF300T and a Yamaha keyboard that I connect to my computer via USB (no drivers needed).
I don't have the keyboard for the tablet so I was thinking about buying the USB OTG adapter and connect the piano directly. Is this possible? Anyone has the USB OTG adapter and tried this?
Thanks.
In Yamaha smartpianist my USB not recognizing my piano how can I fix that issue help me out
