I am using cherry pie on my atrix and everything is working great except for the gtalk video of 3g. every time I try to start a video chat it says i must be connected to wifi. Can anyone help let me know if I have to change something in my settings..
Thanks By the way This ROM is AWESOME
I believe this is a problem in cherry pi because I am seeing the same thing. I think something other than the gtalk app needs to be added to the ROM. I have been playing a little but without success so far.

Btw, this does work in the alien ROM, so I know it is possible.
EDIT: Does anyone know what APK or library handles SIP. In Alien ROM, one of the features is "SIP not wifi only". I'm guessing this will allow gtalk to work over 3G.

I'm pretty sure for most of the currently available ROM's it's handled in the build.prop - I think I saw that this is addressed in the latest version of Cherry Pi but I could be wrong...

Also, it looks like with Cherry Pi it depends on what kernel you're using...are you using the stock kernel that comes with Cherry Pi?
Just confirmed that changing the gservices db allows video chat to go through.
And yes, I am using the stock kernel from CherryPi.

I purchased SQL Lite Editor. It has been recommended in many posts, so I decided it must be time.
Per the Cherry Pi thread, navalynt commented this about gtalk
There is a script running from the init.d folder that adds the 3G support at boot-up. So long as you are running the kernel that comes with the ROM right now it should work. If it stopped working after an upgrade, then a full-wipe install would be needed.

You might try to do a full wipe.

seems we've confirmed that if you're running Coredroid ROM above, you will be able to install Netflix and view everything perfectly from several users who have tried..no prop editing, no white screen, no problems with no video, etc
Not to mention, it's one of the best ROM's for the Glacier (minus the annoying video recording not working bug)

But I don't have fast enough speeds right now to check.
I'll try over wifi when I get home.
When I loaded it it loads my account, I can search, but movies would cut out while streaming. It could just be my bad data speeds right now.

Going to need to fix flash now. I did not know about this site or app thanks for posting. The app looks to work just fine but the silly flash bug we are all dealing with right now is a pain. Aka sound but no picture.
Yeah, that's exactly what I have as well, sound but no picture on both apps. So this flash bug is resident to certain ROMs or to a rooted phone in general? Couldn't be to the device, as flash worked ok for me before I rooted and flashed RoyalGinger 2.1.
Works on virtuous unity

I have not had time to look into it but it looks to be with certain ROMs with new versions of the flash player.
Works fine on mine.
CM7 + faux123's latest version of the 2.6.35.13 kernel. I also have the modified version of Flash that allows me to watch Hulu on my browser.
Where do you get this modified version of Flash? I just installed 10.3.185.25 from the market and it still doesn't work.

Jarmezrocks recently changed it so he's not releasing another seperate ICS ROM. He now packages his Wifi Calling packages for different ICS ROM's now. You can find it Here

It's not working yet. In order to make a flashable for any particular ROM, it would have to have changes to that ROMS build.prop and framework.jar files. He is working on it, though.

Hmm. Well, I am running the over clocked SGT7 Cherry picks ROM in which I used ROM debloat free to remove all the live wallpaper and picker, the bluetooth files, and the phone stuff. I accidently removed the phone storage apk and now I can't connect via USB in android but I can transfer files via CWM....but not a single sod for past two days. I am picky on the apps and games I install.
i've been running the linaro enhanced 0.4 rom for a day, no sod yet - knock on wood

After the latest OTA updates to my Droid DNA I achieved S-off with rumrunner; flashed Carbon ROM with kitkat 4.4; latest gapps package; crpalmer's kernel, and I thought everything worked fine. Until I realized I cannot receive or send MMS. Do not like hangouts; using Chomp SMS; in settings it says if MMS is not working to copy APN and paste in settings. When I look for APN; I cannot select APN, when I try to it says stopped responding. Any help to get MMS working will be very appreciated.

I am not sure. I read in at least one post someone using that kernel and it was working for them.
I got rid of full gapps and installed gapps micro, rebooted and still did not work.
For some reason it seemed to me that I was not able to connect to mobile data even though I could make phone calls, (I could be wrong). I went back to the Cyanfox 4.4 Rom and now I have a daily driver. I was going to update my radio but could not get it to work. I am still very new at all this and this is my first root and modify... project??? LOL. I registered as dev with HTC and downloaded the stuff to make mods but cannot get it to work as they displayed on their website. Maybe the root and install ROM is basic stuff and now I am in over my head. Thank you for your suggestions and help.

Ya... , we talked about that. I made sure that I was following his directions totally. But, I am willing to try if you have suggestions. Everything was working best I could tell with Cyanfox; I just really like that Carbon ROM though...
Yaaaayyyyyy... Last night I achieved success. I cant remember where I found it, wish I could to give thanks, but somewhere I seen someone post that to load a radio you have to open command line from inside the platform-tools... anyway I have updated radio. Last night i wiped everything and did a fresh install of the Carbon ROM and did not flash crpalmer kernel but kept what came with the ROM. So far today the only problem I have had is when I play music the dsp is not working. That is not a big deal but... I wish I could just delete it if it is not going to work. And one time I was playing music and a text came in and it made my phone reboot; but I was playing music after that and had a text but it did not make my phone reboot.
I do not know about reseting or installing another RUU... I am a noob just trying to learn some of this stuff. I am giving you thanks for sticking with me and trying to make sure that I have working, fun phone that I own and not vzw... lol
