Hi i am from India and i have purchased my xperia x10 from Vodafone Australia. How i can debrand my phone and what would be the suitable generic firmware version for my phone. Currently my phone bese band version is 2.0.46 and build number 2.0.A.0.504......Please help.
see u can debrand and use Wolf's Custom Rom which is the best and ya u can even change the baseband so its not a issue !! u can check the various forums for installing custom ROM's actually custom is far better than Generic ... and smoother , faster with lotta features too..
THank me if i helped u !!

I am currently using NTT Docmo Xperia x10 on android 1.6. Its model is SO-01b and i want to upgarde to android 2.1 and unlock the phone as well. But i am not clear which version to use , nordic or global. I am not sure but on according to wikipedia nTT docomo so-01b is based on x10a.
Please someone help me if anyone could give me suggestion.
My Docomo X10 is flashed to global generic 2.1 and running just fine.
Just don't forget to write down your APNs so you can put them back.
You want the "bizho" one, since that's the network where your internet fees are capped.
Thanks for the response gtkashi.I am now in Nepal and want to make the phone work here in Nepal by upgrading to android 2.1. Could u please clarify me whether flashing would make the phone sim free.
it won't. You're just updating the software, not unlocking the phone.
Get in contact with nttdocomo to see what their policies/costs for unlocking your phone are or try to see whether there's some shady services for unlock codes by now.
Global to Docomo firmware 2.1
With this upcoming update for Docomo, if you currently have global 2.1, how would we "instruct" SEUS to flash the Docomo firmware? Would we need to edit some *.prop ?
Personally I'm hoping someone would extract the firmware itself so that the flasher tool can be used to overwrite the existing one.
Either way, 30 min til Nov 10!

To all the developers and members of XDA,
I bought an X10mini and found out that the firmware version is 2.1.1.A.0.16 , can i flash it to MiniCM6 2.2 ROM ? the baseband is M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015 but the firmware is not 2.1.1.A.0.6..
I tried to to reinstall the ROM using PC companion and the version that i get is still 0.16 and not 0.6 .
I wonder if anyone here have the version same as mine and can i flash it to custom ROM ? i search throughout the treads and did not found any 2.1.1.A.0.16 available, is this the latest version or because the version is differ because of countries?
Any helps will be well-appreciated, thanks !
This is because you have the 2011 X10 Mini. Everything should work normally.
You have a previous FW, if you want to flash without fear, flash to the new FW and them flash it to MiniCM6 2.2 ROM.
You can use WotanClient, sign in the site of the program, it is free, and very easy flash with this program, and you can downgrade or upgrade your phone.
ok, Thank you for the information !
the important things are baseband and kernel, because when you upgrade to 2.2 or 2.3 the stock firmware will be replaced.
but before flashing with any rom kindly make a backup

I flashed it from XXKPI too.
Do you use European version of XXKPI? (There is only European I think)
So if European XXKPI works, then XXKPJ should work too.

Can i flash the European firmware frm samware too without any probs?
You have Asian firmware... 2.3.* is only for European phones for now. It will work, but you may experience slower 3G etc.
thanx...in some threads they mentioned to Use CODE,BOOT and MODEM files from European 2.3.x firmware and CSC from Indian firmware.
how does that work? sry i'm new.
does that mean frm "Asia Samsung S5570 Firmwares" section at samware i have to download the 2.2.1 asian firmware n use csc frm that n the rest frm 2.3.4 frm europe firmware ??
You could try it. At least I haven't tried that... Be careful, collect some information first. Good luck!

Hi Guys,
Done some searching and haven't found an answer to this. My apologies if i have missed it!
I'm a bit of a newb at flashing, i've only flashed stock 2.1 and cyanogen mod 6.5 to my xperia so far. I'm currently on baseband .54 on my xperia x10a. All the gingerbread roms i'm looking at have a baseband of .71. I'm currently looking to flash wolf break's one.
My question is, since i need 850\2100 wcdma for coverage, will flashing this baseband affect that at all? Or do I totally misunderstand basebands?
Many thanks in advance!
Note: my xperia already says it's a x10i (but it's definitely a x10a) in about phone. But i'm just paranoid since i use my phone for work
I'd really appreciate some help if any of you guys know
As far as I know all the frequencies will work.
Hey dude im on x10 with baseband 71 and can tell u it works fine with at and t

Hi i got a xperia min pro sk 17i brought newly i update my phone using pc companion for ICS and faced many issues after i dont have any service center in sri lanka so i flashed my phone to gingerbread again and after the camera quality was low anyway again i updated to ICS and now still having bugs i got to know that when we flash the SI number back in the phone and the SI number in the firmware doesnt match?? anyway now how can i have a good firmware please help me?? i want a good stable working gingerbread firmware please help me how can i get a firmware that matches my SI number??
Hello,
So in order to have a good firmware, you need to read to you the Android development thread exactly at the moment there are no relatively liquid current ICS version.
At the ICS versions, there are always bugs and lags because they avoid yet been processed nich specifically to lag because the phone memory for x10 mini and mini pro is too small for the Ice Cream Sandwitch 4.0 +
Give it a whirl with the CM7.2.2 firmware for your phone this is stable and without bugs.
MFG
I recommend Cyanogen 7.2. I was using this rom and I say that this is best rom for gingerbread users. It is fast and stable.
