Hi, i'm new here.. Just wanna ask if there any way to install Android 2.2 or 2.3 on Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman.. I just try all kind of method and it said my baseband is not suitable.. but my baseband was 015 actually..
About my phone :

Firmware version 2.1-update1
baseband M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015
build number 2.1.A.0.53
Is there any problem with my phone? Can anyone help me with this, i really want to try this 2.2 or 2.3 version.. TQ.

same problm cames me to by update KuyoDroid's latest version..
But I'm using GinzerDx New V12..
Its working great for me..

Hi digitalsuni, please give me download link on your working GingerDX, the version GingerDX i downloaded (GingerDX V017) from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200675 not working on my Sony Ericsson W8. It stocks at the Sony Ericsson Logo at the start-up.

I'm using the same phone and same baseband as you are, I've tried all custom rom for stock kernel and its work perfectly (gingerDX, gingercruzt, stornmix, kuyaDROID, gingerXperia and many more...) and now I'm using kuyaDROID 4.5.4 (based on Android 2.3.7) because it is a great rom and for me kuyaDROID is the best custom rom so far

I already have it rooted, i just can't install modified androids because of this baseband!

and tick:
wipe data
wipre cache
wipe applog
and flash it

You cannot use bin4ry root with restore for gingerbread. Upgrade to ics and try again.
