Im Looking for A decent video Player, ive searched the market, with no joy, even tryed rockplayer, to play standard mp4 music videos, but the lag is amense,
dont mind paying for the app,
any ideas ?
also, on a side note is there any 3rd party music player that plays with the widgit, even if the lock screen comes on ? the stock music player plays when lock screen is on, but other apps shut it off when the lock screen comes on,
and finally, is there a screenshot app ?
i tryed "shootme" but it doesnt work correctly. and doesnt save the screenshots in sdcard/shootme folder

Drocap 2(screenshot) or use cm7 it has it built in to power menu bro and the video player on these roms work cool

1.TRY ACT1 VIDEO PLAYER....it's free, it's light weight and it's good for light videos...well synchronized audio-video too
2.get Uber Music..it has lockscreen replacement with a widget, volume rocker control for previous/next song when the screen is off...there is headset control too and the UI is awesome (get "metro skin" and"clear widgets" skin also)
3. finally, as mentioned b4 by kormatoes, use drocap2 in froyo builds and u have an integrated screenshot app in MiniCM 7

Was using this in the stock 2.1 ROM. Now I have installed MiniCM7 Pro - v6 Final (GingerBread 2.3.5) ROM and use the screenshot app that comes with it (long press power key - menu)

Is there a way to lock the screen (disable touch) while viewing saw a movie on the tab? This way if i move the tab the movie continues to play in full screen mode and nothing responds to my touches on the tab. I figure some form of power button enable/disable option would work.

I've never seen this option put in any power button settings before, but its something to look into.
Mobo player have an option to lock the screen(using menu button) while watching videos.

Thanks...unfortunately this is mainly because I stream allot. So it must be able to control the hardware itself not just the app.

I have been looking for this as well. It would be nice if there was a way to do it with google music.
they aren't there by default? I hadn't done anything special with my phone and they showed up. Try installing apollo music player? That's what I use now and it shows up on the lockscreen. The default player showed up before that though.
I think it depends on the lock screen you're using - try different one (or compare notes). Or you can use widgetlocker, which works great.
If you use the. Default slide lock screen ..then when you have music playing you can slide down from the top and both Google music and stock player have controls there.

I was using Super Player because it was free, but recently purchased Floating Player Beta. They both have the same issue, when playing a video in the window (or paused) then lock the screen then unlock the tablet reboots. I'm using .28 stock rom with SIO installed.
Anyone else?

I'm using Virtuous Prime rom. I can confirm I've replicated your issue with Super Video.
One solution i've found is to go to Super Video settings > Player Settings > Enable Keep Play (Do not pause video playback when screen is turned off).
This will prevent your Prime from screen locking, so pressing the power/lock button merely turns off the screen (pressing the power/lock button again turns the screen back on without having to enter an unlock pattern). Of course a side effect is the video's playback (including audio) continues playing even while the screen is off.
Well at least I'm not going crazy. I'm guess it does as well with Stick It. I've sent logcat to Floating Player Beta, as they responded to my comments. Hopefully we'll find a solution. I have no idea what's causing it. SW Codec does not have the issue.

i don't know about you
but for me the tablet will restart like that if you do the same thing with reg video players....
so i don't think its the floating player thing as it maybe the prime's problem
Is there a flashlight app that I can run in the background and use the video camera at the same time? I want to record videos at night and can't find a torch that does this
i dont have an answer for your question, but i can tell you that creating so many threads is only going to annoy people.

"Tiny flashlight + LED" did do this when I had my Dell streak and recorded a few videos with not much light. I've not tested it on the S3 and I have a low battery so can't now. Just turn it on and press your home button to leave it lit up and then try the camcorder.

It just says "Camera Failed" when I try open the camera up, is there a way around this?
Stock widget "Assistive Light" works perfectly with stock camera/video app. Tested now with leaked DLI5 version.

Just use the stock camera app, set it to video and then set flash to on. When you press record, the flash comes on and stays on until you press stop. Same feature was on the SGS2 and gingerbread.

Anyway of turning down the brightness of the flash?
Playing any song in repeat one mode basically locks the prev and next buttons. You can't play next song (or the previous one) without disabling it. Turns out its a bug in music v3 and was absent in cm12 and cm13.
Things I have tried
>Going through lock screen every time I wanna change a song ... reeaaally enjoying it btw (long press vol up and down are useless too)
> Importing cm "eleven" apk from older rom and other devices ... they weren't compatible with nougat.
>Recompile music app ... turns out I am a bigger noob than I thought.
>Install 20+ music apps in hopes of finding a good alternative ... I failed. (seriously you can't beat colored notifications and that size plus its a hassle to change music player every time I install a new rom)
So considering that its a bug (or a logic defying feature) could someone pass me a compatible music apk and/ or let the developers know about the issue. Any other suggestions are welcome too.
