Erm does anyone know where the scriptz folder is located? Coz I'm trying to install THIS rom but I can't find the scriptz folder I am meant to delete... If anyone can help then it will be much appreciated
forgot the link: t=1192326http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192326
You must delete that folder before installing the patch, Now if you(like me) don't have the scriptz folder on the root of your sdcard, that's ok, no need to delete anything, go on & install the patch
By the way the patch will copy the new scriptz folder in your sdcard, Don't delete it

Well theres a apk in /system/app/DioDict_for_Android_LG_Swift_India.apk
permissions 0644(rw,r,r)
and theres a static library /system/lib/libDioDictEngineNative.so
and i think there was a dictionary database in the bundled mmc (a foolder called edictionary) /sdcard/
COpy these files to the directories listed above and voila! your dictionary is back
ROOT UR PHONE ,INstall ROOT explorer ,copy files, set permissions and it worked on my megatron ROM... thought might as well share it...
NOTE: If u took the NANDroid backup of your phone before installing customised ROM ...u can always extract the files mentioned above by using unyaffs.exe http://www.filecrop.com/search.php?w=unyaffs&size_i=0&size_f=100000000&engine_r=1&engine_m=1&engine_h=1
and use the system.img in your nandroid backup folder
didnt make nandroid before flashing ....
Well then look for it on filecrop.com
Can you attach the .so file here?
im willing to give my ozone wifi pass 1 gb /2 month / 2mbps to who uploads the edictionary database :|

the library is included..i cud have uploaded that edictionary folder too..But i m on sodding 2.5g network(Its INdia) and can't even upload that..

i formated my mmc card and lost the edictionary folder and the contents . can any one post it here if the have it ?
Is THIS the database?? Its what i could find on my card's edictionary.
But since i've installed a different ROM now, I too need the .apk for the dictionary if anyone can share...

Hello everyone!
Here is a zip that contains all the files needed to make Diodict Dictionary work on custom roms (or any rooted phone):
mediafire[.com]/?umr5xvhze4wa5rc (remove "[" and "]" from the link. I am not allowed to post links yet.)
1. It contains the DioDict apk file which is in the "TitaniumBackup" folder. You can also use TitaniumBackup to restore it by placing the folder at the root of your sdcard.
2. It contains "libDioDictEngineNative.so" which you must place in system/lib folder. You will need 'root' and 'write to system folder' permissions for this. Not a big deal if you're on a custom rom.
3. It contains the databases for "Collins Cobuild Advanced", "Oxford Advanced Learners" and "StarPublications ENG-HIN" in the "edictionary" folder. You must place this folder at the root of your sdcard. The first two "Collins Cobuild Advanced" & "Oxford Advanced Learners" are awesome english dictionaries which will work offline. I don't know what the third one ("StarPublications ENG-HIN") is.
Let me know if any issues. Click thanks if I helped.
And @ccreadcc: Where is my ozone wifi pass? kidding....
Everything worked except that i was not able to paste the file.I am on CM7.
I use root explorer:
"you cannot paste here the file system is read-only"
I tried to edit the permission but say"some file do not allow permission changes"
Please Help
solution
Mount /system as writable
I don't know about Root explorer. I use ES File Explorer. In ES Explorer under Settings> Root Settings> Check both the options and you'll be able to paste the file there.
i had 2 wifi passes unused.. wonder where i put it xD
i just did !
i got success to install this on official 2.3 rom
just copy "libDioDictEngineNative.so" to system/lib folder
after that install com.diotek.diodict2.swift_india-a1c589b5691365fa3b910b4435b6d4ec.apk as u install other software .
it works for me !
thanks !!

JUST delete the MEta-inf folder . it's not needed. put files in xbin and bin folders then change permission. Reboot and you r done.

Hello
How can i get back "AllShare Play" for my Galaxy S3? I installed another firmware and a rom and don't really know when it was deleted. I tried to find a solution but I couldn't find anything to solve the problem.
Cance
Go find a Stockish Rom that still has the bloatware........and just extract the System/app folder and put the apks that you want back into your current system/app folder.
Yeh useful tools are bloatware
Thanks for the fast answer but I don't know how to extract the folder when I have a ROM with the needed APK. Can I do this on my computer or do I have to do this on my phone?
Download the Rom to your phone or Computer.
Extract the Rom using a File explorer on your phone or a 7zip/winzip program on your PC and go through the folders...Find the
System/App folder it will be filled with every system app you can need......pick out the apks you want to add into your current set up.
save them to a folder and put them back on your phone....or if on your phone just copy them from the extracted location and navigate back to your Local System/App folder, make the Folder R/W so you can add and remove the system files.....and just paste them back in your current system folder overwriting the current ones. and set the premission to match the rest of the folder most of the time i think its rw-r-r
and reboot. sounds long.....but it only takes me 2 min to copy and replace the files and reboot.
its really simple once you do it a couple times.
hope this helps
Thank you very much, didn't know that it is this easy. I never opened the zip file of a rom ^^
What's the name of the apk? I don't see an obviously named app?
Hi guys,
I'd like to ask you if Android really need .APK files in folder \System\app ? Can I delete for example all these .apk files or are they used by OS? I know that I can use concrete .APK when I need to, but maybe I can make a copy of all to computer and delete them from phone...?
It's just for my info, I have no problem with disk space or something like that....just for info
Thanx,
Rado

Hi, does anyone know how to edit Android/Data and Android/OBB folder?
I can't move any files to those folders and I can't edit the contents even rename it too.
It was just fine when I'm on OneUI 3. After I update it to OneUI 4, which is Android 12, those folders completely uneditable.
I CAN still access it, I just CAN'T edit the inside of those folders.
not sure what folder you are referring to, but you can reproduce the issue and submit error to samsung members app > get help > error report.
Samsung should be able to confirm what the issue is. Hope this helps.
Have you tried this ?

I've tried this.
The thing is, I can access the OBB and Data folders but I cannot edit the contents inside of it. So I can't rename or add anything inside those folders..
Try TotalCommander file manager.
