Has someone gotten this to work properly on an emulator. I tried using this on n64oid playing super mario 64 and I couldn't get it to work. The keys mapped on the settings but wouldn't respond during gameplay. Yet the ps3 controller is working because it works on the home screen. Is anyone else experiencing the same issues?

its paired but I cannot configure buttons, and pressing left and right on the homescreen nothing happens there either what little step did I miss, and its my default imput selection right now
got it uninstalled the combatabilty app and that seemed I left it on and it really did not work right when you have both apps on

Can someone post the Sixaxis Pair Tool? I cannot go to the developers website, it tells me it is unsafe.
EDIT: Just downloaded it through my phone instead. ESET can be aggressive

So is there still no one who has actually gotten this to work with an emulator? I got it to pair with the phone properly, and was able to set controls in SNES9x, but I couldn't get it to actually respond in game. It navigated the phone just fine though

Actually it would be interesting to see if this works with the webtop over hdmi mods? Anyone tried this yet?

is there any user updates on this? Is it possible to play GameLoft with this?

It´s not working for me...
When I click Start on the Compatibility Checker, it says "Driver Started" and just stays there. It´s not showing the Local Bluetooth Address in the bottom of the screen.
Any help?

You have yo download the pairing tool from the website and pair ur controller through a computer using the program

D-Pad and Joysticks just register as the same thing. The D buttons work (clicking the Joysticks). Anyone else have this problem?
*** Edit ***
Noticed in some reviews that the dev emailed them back about this. You just need to assign values for those key presses manually.

I used the pc program, and it showed the bluetooth address of the controller OK.
What I don't have is the local bluetooth address from the Atrix, cause the compatibility checker is not working...

sorry for the slow reply, i've been playing with my a500 and in those forums. here is a quick guide and some answers...
you need:
ps3 controller
usb cable for controller
rooted phone/tablet
sixaxis controller test app
sixaxis controller app
pc with windows (i don't have linux or mac sorry)
motioninjoy (for windows)
getting ready:
download and install the test app on your phone. run it and press start. allow root. upon success a bluetooth code will appear at the bottom of the app. note this.
next, download and install motioninjoy to your pc. run the ds3 tool. connect your ps3 controller to the pc via cable. click on "bluetooth pair." select manual mac address. refer to the code on your phone, this is the bluetooth's mac address. enter each pair backwards! i.e. if your address on the phone says A8.53.D1.29.52 then on ds3 enter 52.29.D1.53.A8
now purchase and download the actual app to your phone. run it. click start. disconnect the controller and press the "ps" or center button. the app should read the controller and the controller should have one solid light on P1. if so, it works. don't forget to go to settings and allow the input and change input to the controller.
in the options you can change the hardware keys inputted by the controller, i.e. home, back, letters, numbers. you can set different values for the sticks than the digital pad or set it up to control your phone.
this controller app can control any of your games/apps that check for hardware input. gameloft games (and most games) do not so it will not work for these games.
i will clean this up tomorrow with links and stuff, sorry for the sloppiness. if this helps, thank me! l8r

Well, I solved my problem.
My root was not working properly, so the compatibility checker on the Atrix was not showing the bluetooth address.
Thanks people!

What is NOT interesting about it?
I would love to use a sixaxis (or any other controller) for n64 emulators, snes emulators, psx emulators and so on. using the touchscreen as controller is ruining the experience and potential of emulators.
BTW, if you dont have anything constructive or informative to write in these forums, stfu.

I appreciate that information
What ROM's have you tried that is working smooth?
I've tried Super Mario 64, Wave Race 64, Golden Eye and Mario Kart 64.
They all run without hickups or any lag!
Pilot Wings 64 on the other hand gives me black polygons and crackling audio noises.
Should there be a separate thread for Emulator ROM's maybe?
Hey,
I'm having trouble pairing my controller with my Tab,
I installed the Sixaxis Pair Tool and i entered the Bluetooth Mac Address of my Tab (I didn't find it in the actual app, when i pressed Start, on the Tab but i had to enter Android Settings and About.
Anyway, under Current Master it shows the Bluetooth Mac Address of my Tab, i then unplugged the controller, pressed the PS button, and pressed Start in the App on the Tab and it says Connection Initiated.... and thats it, the controller is blinking but it doesn't seem to wanna connect to the Tab
Any help would be appreciated
P.S. I followed the instructions on http://www.dancingpixelstudios.com/sixaxiscontroller/instructions.html
Fixed it with a restart of my Tab, apparently my tab wasn't asking for root until i rebooted,
Great app by the way
My controller is being recognized by the N64oid app when i have to configure the inputs. When I go to play a game though, it won't recognize the controller.
Best money spent on my TAB so far Working perfectly with Snes9x EX.
i followed everything and the app says connection established however, my controller doesn't stop blinking any thoughts? should I just assume that this app doesn't work with samsung devices at all?

I had a problem with mine not registering input even after following the setup and my lights saying it was connected as controller 1. I deleted the sixaxis compatibility checker and then rebooted, started the connection, hit the ps button, and selected sixaxis controller as input and it worked flawlessly. If you're 100% positive you're doing everything word for word and changed the sixaxis' bluetooth address to match your tab's then try a reboot and see if it fixes it.
So the controller finally works. When you enable IME in N64oid the controller will start working. I don't know if anyone else noticed, but does the software support full analog control? I can't get Mario to stop running at full speed even thought i am pushing the stick only a little .
If you are having trouble getting the controller started do this....
Download and SixAxisPairTool on your pc.
Plug the controller into your pc with the usb cable that came with the ps3.
Hit the power button on the controller. A set of numbers will show on top with a empty box below.
On the tablet, run SixAxis Controller. There will be a bluetooth address at the bottom of the screen. Copy these numbers/letters into the sixaxispairtool on your pc.
Unplug the controller, hit start on the controller app on the tablet and hit the power button on the controller. Hit configure input settings and switch to ps3 controller.
You should be all set to go! Good Luck!
The sixaxis works great with every emulator I have tried it with so far. Are there any non-emulator apps that anyone has got working? Any android games that are not emulators? If there are some, then maybe we need to get a list going of what apps work with the sixaxis controller and which ones do not.
I am also all in favor of getting a list of what rom's work for each system.
I have tested mario kart and 007 for N64 and they both work. I have also tested nba jam tournament edition for snes and that works. I am really bummed because cruisn usa will not work in the n64 emulator. The screen is off to the left. Has anyone else tried that one? I love playing cruisn usa.

In N64oid or whichever emulator you are running, go to settings, other settings, and then tick the box for "Use input method"
I'm having the same issue as amarp84
pairing is fine, bluetooth address is fine, connection is established no worries and it says that there is a client connected, but the lights won't stop blinking and sync to a controller port
i'm on 10.1v ... anyone else got it working on the tab so i know if it's just me?
I works great on my tab 10.1.

[Q] FPSe with Wii Controller (Classic) Possible?

I have been searching for a while as to how I can use my wii remote with classic controller hooked up to it for FPSe. It works for PSX4Droid, until I updated to 2.3.3 GB on Droid X2. (Rooted) FPSe 0.10.54. This was great to have when PSX4Droid worked, seems it will no longer be updated. Basically I could sync up my DX2 with my wii, plug in the classic controller, then map the buttons accordingly in the emulator. But with FPSe it only allows specific controllers it seems.
Anywho, the only options I have for "Bluetooth Pad Port 1/2" are: Zeemote, IcontrolPad and BGP100. There is no option for Wii. I am also using WiimoteController App, everything is setup properly, I just cant use wii on FPSe. I even went into FPSe.ini and changed all the mapping for the wii manually. It's like they wont talk to each other. Input device is wii also (Where is asks Swype, Keyboard, Wiimote etc etc)
Hopefully you can help! Thx!

I was under the assumption that they were the same, but I'll give it a shot. What do you select under inputs and such (Bluetooth Pad Port 1, Pad Type) to get it to work? A small detailed how to would be outstanding. Been pulling my hair out over this one. Thanks for you help!
EDIT: I open FPSe, start the game (FF Tactics), enter settings then input. My only options for "Bluetooth Pad port 1" are BGP100, Zeemote and iControlPad. I have tried each of those, basically every combo of everything I think. WiiController is also active as my input. When I go into Hardware keys to assign the keys, its as if the wii controller isnt there. So I manually mapped the Wii buttons in the FPSe.ini file. Still nothing.

Ok, I purchased this app, installed it, swiched input to this app (instead of keyboard), connected the Wiimote by pressing 1 & 2 for sync mode, verified controller was working.
Then I loaded up FPSE, still doesnt not recognize the Wiimote in the settings. I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong in the whole deal. Is FPSE supposed to connect to the Wiimote automatically? Am I supposed to configure the settings under Input in settings? In settings I have these options: Pad Type (Analog, Digital, Guncon)..... Bluetooth Pad Port 1 (iControlPad, Zeemote, BGP100, Disabled) ..... Hardware keys, to manually map the buttons of the above controllers I suppose, since I cant get it to work.
Does anyone have a good working version of PSX4Droid they can send me? lol I'm tired of messing with this, but will do basically whatever it takes to make it work. Aside from purchasing some other controller, cant justify that to the wife.
Sorry for the noob questions and thanks for all the help!

Try uninstalling updates and uninstall the program.

As it turns out, update 2.3.3 broke both of my emulators ability to talk to the Wii controllers. I read something about "Bluetooth stack 2.0" in another thread, not sure what it means, but it sounds like it happened to me possibly. Before the update (rooted) everything worked. After the update, the controllers still connect to Wiimote and Wii Controller, but once the game is loaded it's like the controllers are dead.
Anyone else have this issue after update? FPSE and PSX4Droid do not work now. Actually, FPSE works, wont talk to Wiimote. PSX4Droid flat out broke, will not load games. I tried uninstall/reinstall of everything several times. Same results.

Can you give a bit more info? What Rom and Kernel are you using? What software did you use to connect them? People will help if you give them relevant info.
I am using the six axis controller app from the market. On stock touchwiz with the latest small update applied and rooted (UEKME). You have to be rooted for the app to work at all.
Do you want to navigate through the Android OS or do you want to play games with it? Most regular games don't work with the PS3 controller. Usually people use the controller to play roms with emulators. There you can map the buttons to actions in the settings menu to play the game.
As for the Android OS navigation, as far as I know only the directional buttons work to navigate the home screen and some menues but that's it. You could try mapping different functions to the buttons right from the sixaxis app. It should work if you select the right options.
Update: I resolved the issue with a restart... The program now works perfectly for gaming (including using both analogue sticks eg for N64). In theory you can map any key or function to the buttons but it would be hard work actually doing anything else but gaming. I definitely recommend the below app, though:

No I mean the classic controller that plugs into the WiiMote, the one that it like a hybrid snes/n64 controler. I have used it to play Mario64 on Emulator on Atrix. No idea if it would work for gta but I knew you needed more buttons than just the WiiMote. If you can get away with doit that would be cheaper than buyin a dual shock if you don't already have one.
There are no options to allure the game to be remotely controlled, and the only reason the roms work with the Wiimote is because of built in software on the emulators.
If you play the game through an emulator instead of the direct android version you should be fine.
Btw, op, what was the name of the app that let you program touch points?
Thanks in advance!!!

it was SimpleWiiController -> http://www.appbrain.com/app/simplewiicontroller/ray.android.wii
so there is no way? I have a wii remote and a classic controller, sadly I have no ps3 controller.
RWiimote and another app seem pretend to work, but mapping is not... working I guess.
Yes, i have the same problem, i try to play GTA3 with the WiiMote and only the button directions works, but run or jump, etc dont work
Some additional insight
I'm looking for an answer as well but it seems I might have gotten further than most are getting on this thread.
My setup:
Acer Iconia A100 Tablet
Wii Remote and Classic Controller
Wii Remote IME by Ryan Frawley (Available on the market for like $4 and change)
There is a video and a quick explanation in the first few Google results if you search Wii Remote IME Android, I'd post them but I got an error that I didn't have enough posts yet to do an outside link
One thing that isn't mentioned in either place is that if you are using an add-on controller (Nunchuck or Classic) they'll only show up if they are connected to the Wii Remote before you pair the Wii remote.
Once connected, I was able to go into the controller map and adjust the Classic controller settings to use the keyboard controls I found out by using a Logitech "Keyboard for Android 3.0" (really, that's the model name on the back, I doubt it matters but I found a regular bluetooth keyboard with a windows key on it had some different key mappings though we're not using any non-standard keys.)
Some of the basic controls are:
Up/Accelerator - Up Arrow
Down/Reverse - Down Arrow
Left - Left Arrow
Right - Right Arrow
Sprint/Accelerator - 1
Shoot - 2 (if held, auto-targets closest target)
Jump/Reverse - 3
Enter/Exit Vehicle - 4
Change Radio Station - 5
Change Weapon Next/Look Left in Car - 6
Change Weapon Previous/Look Right in Car - 8
So far, it works, however the buttons appear to be getting "stuck". What I mean for instance is I start walking left and now I'm stuck walking left and can't stop. If I press sprint, it will start running left which I can't stop either. I suspect this is a bug in the IME program or potentially an issue with the game. I will post more if I can get this working as the game is unplayable with a keyboard as you can't easily control the camera, walk, aim and shoot. Playing with only the touchscreen is very clunky as well and really any game that needs analog sticks can't be adequately simulated using the touchscreen IMHO.
I'll post more as I discover it but I really want to get this working so if anybody has ANYTHING to add I'm begging you, add it!
***Edit - After rebooting my tablet and doing the following, the "stuck" problem appears to have resolved itself:
1. Start GTA III, enter your game and press home
2. Start Wii Remote IME
3. Set IME to Wii Remote using settings page in program
4. Go back to GTA from the notification area
5. Test it out, it will probably work!
It also makes sense to point out that I'm using the option to switch back to a different default IME on exit which is the reason I used the order that I did. If you use an automatic task killer, it probably makes sense to make an exception if you can for the Wii Remote IME program in order to keep it open if you want to use that option.

[Q] Does Splashtop THD support controllers?

So finished setting up Splashtop and I'm loving it. I have horrible internet speeds but it still works pretty well. I only wish I could find a way to control my PC games using my PS3 controller that is connected to my tablet. I have not tried a USB controller or my 360 adapter so that may work. If anyone knows how to get this to work it would be greatly appreciated.
The program is just a simple remote feature and runs on just basic commands and doesn't recognize game pads. There would have to be another layer to the commands to a virtual game pad installed on the pc that could relay the commands.
It does support controllers, just connect it through USB and make sure you are in gaming mode (3 finger tab).
I've been playing skyrim that way using a ps3 controller

ah don't have a USB controller here.

I've been wanting this specific answer more than anything. This makes me so happy to hear.
I suspect that it's using the native gamepad element in ICS, which makes me hopeful that someone using a PS3 controller & the Sixaxis app with the "Enable Gamepad" setting checked would work too. Good God this makes me excited..

how did you get it to work. I have been messing around with this for days and can't get anything but the D pad and Select button to pick up.
Despite the thread being old I wanted to let everybody know that I've had some success with this, maybe it'll help somebody else in the future. I recently tried using my DS3 with Splashtop GamePad THD via Bluetooth (on a Nexus 7, but it shouldn't matter) and much to my surprise, it works.
I used Sixaxis Controller to pair my DS3 via BT and I enabled the option to have it appear as a regular gamepad. I opened up Splashtop THD, connected and it worked! What I found though, was that it actually depends on the profile you choose. I couldn't play Portal 2 with the profile because for some reason it didn't have enough controller buttons mapped. I switched to Skyrim, reconfigured the key bindings in Portal 2 and it worked well. I find that it's very badly designed, rather than having to use some specific profile, they should just have a way to configure the controller for each profile. Maybe there is a way and I haven't found it.
In any case, the DS3 works via BT, but mind that you're not going to get analog movement control on your PC, since moving the left stick just sends WSAD.
