Whazzup all, is there any way I could get the old baseband?

Hi there,
I'm rather new (so sorry if these are dumb questions) to all this flashing / rooting / de branding and had a few questions about it..
Well i bought the x10 on mobile network 3 (three uk) and tbh they are ****. First phone i had i debranded using the SEUS copy file method over, but since then i have had them replace the phone. i tried the same method but as SE have updated SEUS i can't get it to work... :|
So looking around i started reading up on rooting.
Firstly if i follow this guide forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=711907 will that debrand the phone to the generic firmware?
If that is the case will i then be able to get future updates through SEUS or not?
If i rooted the phone, would there be anyway to go back to the so called unrooted version?
And lastly, what are the other pro's and con's of rooting?

They aren't silly if you don't know the answer, but considering a search of the forum and browse of the guide (which you could have posted this question on) would have given you the answers it's an annoying post.

i had been researching the topic for 2 days before i posted here, i understand the majority of it just not the questions posted above.
i followed the link you posted but it did not answer my main question

maybe im mis understanding what they say but it would be very helpful if some could tell me if it allows me to get future updates through seus

No worries, but it is frustrating to see new threads asking questions that have been answered a million times already. In future just post on an existing thread instead of starting new ones.

Can someone please help me i have a rooted thunderbolt. I rooted it with the first method that came out. I havent messed with it much but im unable to flash any kind of roms or udate the radio so i thought unrooting it then rerooting it would allow me to flash roms, new radio i have the old software build radio etc. can some help me please my thunderbolt sucks ass right now i want the update software etc

This thread belongs in Q&A. The Development forum is for development of new roms, kernels and radios, and the discussion of these developments.

I just wasnt sure if that would work so i ask and i know ppl will be mean. I always make sure to ask before doing
1. belongs in Q & A
2. you do not need to unroot and re-root to flash new radios or roms or RUU's. If you are rooted...you can do whatever you want
3. Stickied in this forum just above your post are guides to both rooting and returning to stock.
Tons of ppl have already asked just take the time to read. Reading Sucks donkey balls but if you aren't willing to read then you aren't gonna be allowed to play this game.
YEA!!! and if you ask a question in the wrong section again, mean people will track you down and beat you! cause its easier to do that than just answer a question!

i found the same post in Q& A for the incredible so I was skeptical on the Tutorial linked but it worked ....
I have an AT&T ( shutter) Atrix, running 2.3.4 with firmware 4.5.91
and i am looking around the dev forums, and i cant find a straight answer as to how to root it. Thanks in advance if anyone is able to help me

And what is the process to maintain root? Just take the OTA?

Can I update the baseband without updating and/or delete the rom i am on? i have looked around and 1 out of a lot i have seen said i can update a stand alone but i just wanted to make sure.. Thank you.
