Is there a way to get vvm working? I get bootloops and loss of haptic buttons once restored from TB. Have to reinstall rom after to regain button functionality. Yes, I included the service too. Tried w&w/o data.

unfortunately carrier apps like visual voice mail don't work on cm7..i got that response from jt himself when I asked the same question...his recommendation and mine, get google voice..it may not be as pretty, but it works on any rom and is free!

I've been wondering about this too. I've got about 25 saved voicemails that are a ***** to go through over the phone.
How difficult is it to port your number over to g voice?

Super easy install gapps.zip or grab it from goggle and the first time you open the app it gives you a phone number to call...it beeps a couple times and hangs up and then a menu pops up to guide you through so other basic setup questions...literally takes about three minutes

Do you mean you get to the point where it says something like "call #(whatever your number is)' and you click that and it tells you that it didn't work?
If so, if you click on the help link (or go to the URL) it will explain how to to it; basically, you have to go to the web site for GV, go to settings, select your mobile phone, and under advanced settings enable voicemail.
Ill try that later

Ok so I've had the ATRIX and then went to the inspire and iphone 4 now im back with the ATRIX and was wondering if there is any fix for the sudden loss of vibration on the keyboard and soft keys
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
Erm... Try data wipe? Haven't had this issue, so hopefully you can fix it with software reset.
My ATRIX has wrote this without my consent!
This is my third ATRIX and all had this problem vibration turns off and on

Hmmm... like i said mine is fine. Maybe you are doing something specific with the phone that disables vibration? Installing some app maybe? Changing some setting, etc?
That would be my guess, a 3rd party app. Have you tried using it after a reset without installing any apps? Do you use TiBu to restore app data? Is this issue happening in any specific situation (eg. texting, web browsing, etc)???

I use titanium back up to uninstall at&t bloat ware does titanium cause this?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
OK so the problem is still happening were I lose vibration when typing it seems to be a hardware issue because when the vibration stops all I have to do is shake the phone or lightly tap it so I'm calling warranty replacement

IMO It's usually better to freeze apps in TiBu than uninstalling them. Just makes things so much easier to unfreeze than scramble looking for and installing apps if there are any conflicts down the road...

I know it's not a fix - but you could always download the standard Android 2.3 keyboard and be done with the Moto one.
Regardless of any faults, I always used this keyboard on my Galaxy S over the (horrible) Samsung one... you will also know if the fault is hardware or software related.

Visual Voicemail freezes my phone for about 60 seconds, then a message pops up, " Unfortunately visual voicemail has stopped."
This has also happened with a couple other apps which i can't remember exactly which ones atm.
Anyone else experience this or have advice on how to fix?
I'm experiencing the same problems since I upgraded to Samsung official ICS rom and rooted it. My Google apps are unstable and force closing all the time and making my phone ridiculously slow cause it waiting for it to respond which never happened.

All stock, no rom, flash or root.
Tx ---art.
Since you're rooted. You must have CWM. Go in recovery(Google the steps), wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and fix permissions.
Then you should be good

I believe going to Backup Plus and deactivating it will work. If not you can try this:
Go to your my Verizon account, remove all email addresses from your vz backup feature in "manage email settings", hit apply. You will then get a text saying VZWUEP: DELETE. This confirms the texts should stop.

Thats the way I got mine to stop when I first found out how to shut it off. Maybe see if you can turn the entire feature off or try Googling and see if you can find a new way. I havent disabled it in quite a while.

I just downloaded a SMS blocker that seems to be working. I don't know very much about the guts of the device to go in and change a bunch of letters and numbers around just yet. So I done it the easy way. Thanks for the advice though.
I activated Verizons manage safe guards settings but when I tyres to add the 6250 # it would let me because it wasn't a ten digit #

The trick, although i know you will hate to do it. You actually have to call Verizon and have them remove backup completely from your account. I do so much flashing i would get this all the time. That seemed to turn out to be the only fix. The text is from the server asking they phone, Hey are you there and do you have time to update your backup file? When they turn it off at the server, it no longer sends the remote assistance request.
There is something that can be altered to stop it from happening. I'm going to try to get in touch with the dev who did it and see if he'll tell me his secret.

I have problems with messenger when I have the chat heads active. I will receive the system ui crash lots of times and then when I disable it I never see the error again. Might be worth a try?
I've had the chat heads disabled since they first came out, not a fan.
Well I narrowed it down at least. It was my launcher (GO Launcher) I set sense as my default and used FB messenger and didn't receive the messages. No to figure out why. I'm gonna contact GO as they have EXCELLENT customer service, partly the reason I use their products.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
Huh that's strange that you all of a sudden started getting errors with that launcher even though you've used it for a long time. Glad that you were able to get it narrowed down though and hopefully they will have an idea of what's wrong and how to fix it
