i pulled the apk from my flyer, the tried pushing it to /system/app on my phone and wont install. i tried putting it in /data/app and simply on the sdcard and still wont install.
is it just not compatible because it's from a tablet? i really miss the arrows. :l
Doesn't it look just like the normal HTC keyboard? I pulled the apk last night and it looks the same.
Sent from my iPhone with the bigger GeeBees.
will it even work since the view has a higher res screen than the 3d?
im too lazy to go pull the apk from my view and try it myself lol.

Post the apk please. And the odex file too.
You could probably use the EVO 4G keyboard too since it has that. Probably easier to port. But along with the Flyer keyboard .apk, you will probably also need the libs for it too.

That is also a different (lower) resolution. Is there no HTC device on the market with the EVO resolution but with arrows?

.zip it first. And just match the perms of the other files in the folder (likely 644)
ok so i zipped it using apk manager and the file size is 8.31 mb which is larger that the 8.00 mb it lets you upload -____-

Hope somebody ports over the flyer keyboard.

EDIT: To make it work halfway, install the attached apk after installing zip. then under settings for android keyboard, disable all auto correction features....this allows the keyboard to open up, though once you press a key on the keyboard, it force closes

I believe we need to change which version of the sdk the build.prop references. I took a quick look at the file last night buit was too tired from work to try and find it in notepad. It should look like "ro.version.build.sdk". I'll look for it tonight, change it and see what hasppens.

I found this KB not as good as HTC_IME mod so, even though I have it installed, I still use HTC, mainly because predictions are better on it.

the way that I did it dealt with putting the initially installed .apk file for the theme/skin back onto my memory card and using Astro to uninstall. With Astro, go to the .apk installation file, click the file, and select "Open App Manager". The option to uninstall that theme/skin will be available now.
Funny, i deleted this skin before myself.
Go to Titanium Backup, click Backup/Restore and uninstall Glassskin.apk

Don't throw around blame so haphazardly. Why didn't you just adb into the phone and remove the offending apk? Are you aware at all of the risks YOU take when you flash something?
Oh, and the Latin refers to the layout of the keyboard, e.g. for Latin based languages, English included.

Swype is it's own input method app. Just like thumb keyboard or the default HTC keyboard. It doesn't work in conjunction with another keyboard app. If all your asking is if there is a swype style option with this keyboard, then the answer would be no.
I've been trying to use this keyboard all day. It came on Warm's TwopointThree ROM, and I just can't get the hang of it. It seems too small for me, and I am constantly getting typos and pressing "L" instead of backspace. It could be my fingers though.

I think it's from the Desire but not 100% on that. I've used it on all my Android phones and all my ROMs and it's always been solid. Backed up my recovered file from my Evo 4G and it seemed as though it installed and everything was fine. But when I launch it I have issues. It appears to launch fine but whenever you touch the screen to scroll I get the following message: "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped."
Anyone having any luck with this? I really prefer this one over the one that comes with the phone.
Thanks!
Edit: Solution in post #11

So I installed it and the one I installed looks more like the one that came on the device. I'm looking for the Gallery that looks like this:
This one has all of my local folders as well as my Picasa folders on the same page and makes it easy to browse them. Also, the one in your zip appears to be bork as when I click 'settings' I get a blank screen. I was trying to see if there was an option to display my Picasa folders but there was nothing there.
I may have found my answer here. Researching now.

I downloaded it to the phone and then clicked it to run like a regular apk and didn't even need to go through the steps the OP lists and it worked fine for me on a rooted Evo LTE on the stock ROM. For future reference and anyone else, don't change the image size. Select the object you want smaller and shrink it using the scale tool so it's actually smaller within the canvas. That way the end product looks smaller.
