[Q] Did anyone get root after the official updating - Motorola Droid X2

I recently got a droid x2 and updated to the current system (2.3.3). I somehow still have the superuser icon but none of my apps TI back up, overclock, root explorer, and etc will not work. I tried using gingerbreak and cant root it. Z4 root says I can unroot for some reason when I know I dont have root.
Thanks for any help

[Q] After TMo JI6 update bloatware is back

Has anyone experienced after updating to JI6 that they cannot remove the bloatware from the apps menu? I tried removing it with Root Explorer but it still lingers no matter what I do.
EDIT: I updated my version of Root Explorer. I was running 2.12.1 I think, and updated to 2.12.4. Have to mount as R/W in, but it worked and I was able to get rid of my bloatware! Thanks the3dman, I would not have thought about checking what version I was running till you mentioned it.

I flashed the update and removed it with Titanium backup. It's all gone.

The old version of root explorer does not work on ji6 you need to get 2.12 it works fine on ji6.

Same issue...
I was bricked by the Tmob JI6 update... I followed Odin stuff... got my phone back to stock... rooted.
I reinstalled Root Explorer and I tried to start removing bloatware... it says that the software is read only.
Any solution or ideas?
PS: I paid for launcher pro, and now it looks like I don't have it... nor do I have an e-mail with my unlock code... what is the deal with that?
Terminal still works just fine.

[Q] Samsung fascinate root help

Pleaz help!!
I rooted my fascinate with z4root. Then, I unrooted. Then, I noticed that my superuser was still there. I tried to delete it but couldn't. Then, I heard that u can delete it by rooting, so I tried to root it again. But for some reason, z4 keeps saying, you already have the such binary. Unable to root. I then tried to root using other programs on my computer with one click root program. That kept saying, unable to root device. Please help me delete the su or reroot my phone.
A few simple commands with an app called terminal emulator, free in market. Search YouTube for "fascinate remove root" for the commands

You can also set to stock using Odin. There is also a way to delete the root files using root explorer if you still have root access but I'm guessing not as that happened to be after the last update.

Cannot Unroot razr....help!!!!

I rooted using the method here: [04/Jan][ROOTING/UNROOTING] DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit [v4.0](zergRush Exploit) - xda-developers
I was a Samsung Fascinate owner so this is not my first time rooting. Last night I purchased a video from the market and could not watch it bc I was rooted. Instead of downloading the apk which is supposed to work around this, I decided I would rather unroot. My purpose for rooting was to use free wifi tether which I hadn't gotten to work anyway.
So I used the unroot method found above and it does restart my phone but the Superuser app is still in my app drawer. I tried unrooting twice more: didn't work. So I tried to root again using the above process but unlike my first time where I received a conformation message, I received nothing and the cmd prompt actually closed.
Now, I have the superuser app in the drawer. I tried to use screenshot & a wifi tether app. They both told me I needed to be rooted to use them. I downloaded Linda file manager and looked in the system/apps and did not see superuser.apk there.
I found this and tried it as well: How to Unroot Droid Razr! | DroidRazrRoot.com. It did not help. At this point, I have no idea what to do.
Thanks in advance for your help!

You have the updated su from market, it doesn't mean you are still rooted, as your own tests have proved. Look in My Apps and uninstall the updated su. You're good.
That was exactly it! Thank you SO much!

the same thing happened to me. I think the update they sent my phone that auto updated, p[ut me on the new software so I can't root my phone. I downloaded super su thinking it was rooted, but when i open the app there are no applications in the apps section and no logs in the logs section, etc... Now I can't delete the supersu app.
Any help from anyone in these forums would be great!
Did you try a root app to see if it worked for you like titanium backup.

anyone tried voodoo rootkeeper before update ?
OP, go into the IRC channel. go to webchat.freenode.net. Fill out your nickname and copy "#lg-optimus-g" without the quotes into the "Channels" text entry field. Fill out the "captcha" and join the channel. Eventually someone like Shelnutt2 or IOMonster_work/IOMonster_desk, or someone like them will help you. I'd wager that it's not impossible to root your phone, and that after you root it you should unlock your bootloader and install a custom recovery so that it's impossible for the LG/AT&T OTA updates to break your root, since the LG FOTA utility uses the stock proprietary to flash the OTA.

[Q] Meep X2

Anybody had any luck getting a superuser app to work on the Meep X2? I'm trying to move apps to the external SD card without any luck. I followed directions in the thread for the Meep, but they don't seem to work on the Meep 2. I've tried using the apps Superuser and SuperSU and then the Link2SD app, but it still cannot gain superuser access. I'm new to this so I don't know if I'm doing everything correctly. Supposedly the Meep is already rooted so nothing has been needed to be done on those, but I'm not sure about the Meep 2. How could I tell if it is rooted?
Thanks for any help you can provide!
Did you have any luck rooting it? I also have one and it is not rooted. I also need to get link 2sd working. Thanks in advance.

Meep X2 Not Rooted
I know this is not much help, but, unfortunately, unlike the first Meep, the Meep X2 is not rooted. The apps you are trying to use, SuperSU and Link2SD, require a rooted device to work. No root, no work. The Meep X2 has an Amlogic AML 8726-MXS chip and uses Android Jelly Bean 4.2. Maybe a search on the 'Net will help you find a program or a way to root the Meep X2. Good luck!
