Translucent notification bar for GB? - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I did some googling but the few solutions I found did not work, does anyone know a good mod or app to make the notification bar translucent on GB roms? Specifically I am on Simply Honey 5.0. Metamorph or otherwise?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the advice, I went there and was eventually able to make a pretty decent themed pulldown menu, but the only thing that didn't change was the top bar even though it was right in the example it showed before I finished it. I tried a few more but everytime the bar was the only thing that wouldn't change.
Oh well, I just can't seem to work this thing out. Thanks anyways!

decompile the apk, I think its systemui.apk and then modify the status bar and then recompile it

[MOD]JL1 Stock Blue Status Bar, Pulldown Menu, and Battery

So, I'm currently running JL1 Nero Rom, but didn't really like the stock green look. This is simply a morph that changes all the green back to the stock blue look. I also didn't really like the green verticle battery, so I threw in the stock blue battery also.
I've only tested this on Nero, but I'm sure this should work on any 2.2 Roms. (If you currently have an accurate battery, this blue stock battery will not apply correctly.)
I am not responsible for any damage you do to your phone.
To apply:
Download file
Open Metamorph
Apply Theme
The framework-res changes the Status Bar to stock blue and the battery
The twframework-res changes the Notification Pulldown Menu.
Thanks. Enjoy!

I wouldn't call it much of a theme. Just changed colors of pre existing icons.
I realized that I missed a .png file in the downloading icons. One of the frames is still green.

[Q] Remove Clock from any ROM. {Q}

Here is the systemui apk
from Myns Warm ROM. But you can edit any ROM with a method ill hopefully put up soon.
I think the clock is the fusion.apk...unless your talking about the lockscreen.
No at the stat bar. I never even thought about that. Ill try it and report. I wanna make a simple method for people who like it minimal and without messing the overscroll and animations

the clock in the status bar is an edit in the status_bar.xml in systemUI. where did the M10s come from that you linked to?
Ah! Well it's not from there. I'll get it up asap. I'm fixing to teach my class

Transparent status bar

Does anyone knows an easy way to do it?

Here is a transparent status bar that you apply through Metamorph app in the Market.

This only for 2.3 rom.
Uotkitchen is the easiest to do it.

thanks guys
I made a transparent status bar for Zendroid using uot kitchen. Had mixed results with other roms.
Sent from my T959 using XDA App
Zendroid has the framework-res file uploaded to UOTkitchen. Afaik it is the only one that has and you don't have to do it yourself. With Metamorph you just apply the XML. Another app is called Zipthemer which will create an update.zip as well as an undo.zip too. I have used both and they work.

Transparent status bar for CM7DX2

I have been looking into this and some devastating who did cm7 for other devices like the incredible were able to make this possible. I saw a zip with 100% 75% and 50% transparent.
I really wish I was a Dec and could do this or I would. Is there anyone out there that can pull this together? I would be more than willing to test for you

It does all the heavy lifting for you. As long as you can use the find function in a text editor you should be fine. You'll only need to change one line, and it will tell you the line and what to change it to. Once you've done it it will give you two update.zips, one to do the mod one to undo it.

I have not been able to find one. I have searched the market and the theme app. I have not been able to find one. I think I actually found one that was labeled as transparent but it did not work

The cm7 themes with transparent statusbar rely on this patch. In other words, this patch wont make ALL themes transparent, but will enable the ones that support it to work properly. Otherwise they'll just "ghost".

that is what I thought. I still dont understand the page link you gave me. I thought it would be as easy as just following the instructions but it isn't
Yes, some themes for Cyanogen do have transparent status bar. Most of those themes, you have to pay for.
