Untouched Tab Stops Working - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys,
My name is Marko and I am new to this forum. I am a complete noob when it comes to tablets (the only thing I can do is play the games and send mails )
Anyway, I have a 10.1 Galaxy tab model GT-P7510MA.
I have never done anything out of the ordinary with this tab and it just quit on me... Just a black screen and nothing else (wont start up).
I did everything I can think of that was mentioned on this forum: hold the power button+volume up, power button+volume down, power button+screen for 30 secs.
Hopefully you guys have a solution that I haven't read about.
I would be very grateful if some of you guys can make time to help me with this.
Marko Rado

Did you try plugging it in to the charger to see if the battery icon will show up?

It looks like you may have a hardware issue (on the board). Did the phone get wet or damaged in any way?

I know that the hardware starts acting funny if it get wet since the contacts for the buttons can short out. I would get HTC to take another look at it. Also, make sure that you are not damaging the device accidentally by crushing it in your pocket or things of that nature.

[Q] Jetstream does not power ON - Stuck !!!

Need some help !
The HTC Jet stream does not power on - strange problem.
Unit used to work perfect till today - however suddenly the unit does not power on.
1. Battery is fully charged
2. The orange led on the power button is "on" even when its NOT Charging
3. pressing the power on does not do anything.
Tried several things, like doing a "hard reset" from the buttons, by pressing the volume down and at the same time pressing or holding the power - NOTHING help.
The ORANGE screen on the power is "on" with the charger or without it.
Any of you guys have a smart idea to try ?
Anyone know if there is a "hidden" reset button ?
problem was solved !
press & hold the power button for 20 seconds & at the same time press the volume button.
This has released the "stuck status" and the jet stream has back to live as normal.
FIXED!!!

[Q] Stuck in APX mode - I believe?

Hi everyone
I'm desperate.
My TF201 (stock - not rooted - and successfully updated to the current version) works flawlessly for the first 3 months and then one day the Volume UP key stop working. Whenever I tried to lower the volume, it will automatically up it again. When this happened, I tried to reboot with the power button but the tablet wouldn't respond. So I pressed the power button a bit longer and it will shut down. But, when I tried to power it again, I will feel the buzz but the screen will remain blank. The first few times that this happened, I used a small pin to reset the tablet and it will reboot normally. However, now this procedure also has stopped working and I cannot get the tablet to boot again. When I plugged it into my PC, it will recognize it as an APX device. I found that if I let the battery drain completely, it will then power up. I have read and tried the different methods mentioned in the forum but to no avail. So after reading sledgie's post in one of the thread, I thought that perhaps the Volume UP key is definitely stuck and that's why it's booting in the APX mode every time. So, I bite the bullet and open the tablet to see if I can fiddle with the volume keys. But alas, even after making sure that the volume key is not getting stuck, the nightmare continues and every time to boot the tablet I have to let the battery drained completely. What I could gather though is that it's definitely the Volume UP key because every time if I could get the tablet to boot, after draining the battery completely of course, when the ICS Home screen will appear the volume icon also will appear by itself. I found that so long as I don't the touch the Volume key, the tablet will work flawlessly and I could press the power button to get it to sleep and to wake normally. But if I touch the Volume key then the power button will not respond.
So, as I said I'm desperate and if anybody has a solution, please advise.
Thanks in advance.
Help!
Anyone?
i think you should exchange it or send it back for RMA. Make sure you contact Gary Key with regards to APX state. I wrote in the other thread without seeing this thread, but this is what it sounds like.
goodintentions made this really good observation and should be given credit

Another kind of situation that nvflash would be useful.
Sent from my i9250
agreed.
Sorry to respond very late but I want to know what this 'nvflash' means and how will it be useful in my situation. Should I 'nvflash' my tablet in the circumstances?
It's not possible yet, unfortunately. Asus retains the locked bootloader key. We have a way to flash it (SBK I believe) but without the unlocked bootloader, we are not able to proceed further. This is unfortunate for both sides - customer and Manufacturer

[Q] GT-P7510 on Official ICS won't go into Download Mode (Help)

Hey there everyone.
I've been an short term Android user (almost a year now), and I've fell in love with the customization and the flexibility of the platform.I had only recently delved into rooting and ROM-ing on my GS2, which I bought about two months before purchasing the Galaxy Tab 10.1 When the GTab received the OTA, I noticed that ICS with the TouchWiz overlay is either somewhat smooth, or downright laggy. YouTube performance lagged Honeycomb, and that's saying something. Finally, I decided to root my GTab and install CM9/10. I went to the first source I saw (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239185), and to my surprise, I was stuck on step two.
It won't go into download mode. I tried 5 times, each time trying in vain the right volume+power and all three. No luck. (Insert: WTF). Is there something wrong? Everytime I enter the volume down+power, it goes into the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Splash Screen (As it should), and then nothing else. Then it appears again. And then disappears. And Appears. In this infinite loop, with no two icons showing up. If I let go of the buttons, it boots up regularly.
What do you guys think of the problem? Software (Most likely, huh?), or hardware (buttons work flawlessly in use). If not, is there a alternative way to root the device without going into download mode?
Thanks in advance,
Andrew
Power Button and the Volume Down Button pictured here! With Tab completely turned off and the plug not connected hold the power button and the button directly next to it " The left volume button" for up to 10 sec!

[Q] a little problem with "The fourth bar" rom

Hello.
i recently flashed the "fourth bar" with the A1 kernel rom on my p7510 and while overall satisfied with it, i came across a little problem.
when i connect it using the official samsung charger to the plug while it is turned off, the tablet restarts itself, but with touch input unresponsive.
this means that it does not respond to touch, but does respond to volume and power keys. only way to make it function properly is to hold the power button for 5 seconds and quickly disconnect it. then i need to turn it off again. i find this method overly complex for simply charging my tablet. i will thank anyone that might have a solution to this problem i'm having.
Thanks in advance, E.
