I'm currently running Kenneth's latest Alien ROM and I get a battery life of about 6 hours. I've tried letting the battery die out , fully charging, then doing a battery wipe. Also tried Jug's fix. All they seem to fix is a battery jump issue but I wish that was all it was. Any other things that might help? I really don't have the money for a new battery.

You are really mean dude; take it easy.
To the op:
I'm actually not having this problem... Getting great battery life. I get like 8 hours of talk time, 6+ hours of web browsing or days of standby. Have to charge like every other day. Running Alien 3. That's not too helpful I guess, but know that it may be some weird configuration you have.
Read and follow the instructions in this thread guys -

Thanks xploited. I'll give that a shot. the weird thing now is that I get 100% and 4200mV in the battery calibration app. It doesn't make sense. It's apparently fully charged but as of now it's dropped about 10% in about 20 minutes.

Sounds like your battery may just have a problem. Do you know anyone else w/an Atrix that you could swap batteries for like an hour and see if the problem follows the battery?
@epoh The only other person I know that has one lives about 2.5 hours away lol.
It kinda makes me curious if an SBF flash back to 1.83 would fix it. I only had this issue after flashing HKTW on a low battery.

Have you tried AURA 1.1.1 ROM?
I don't know if you even want to give any other ROM a shot, but I have used Alien ROM # 2, too many issues and was not patient enough.
Flashed AURA 1.1.1, after that 2 issues with my battery are fixed, one is the battery life, I usually get around 15 hours from fully charged at 8 AM when I leave for work, so I usually charge just once a day. Second issue with Alien was my phone was overheating like a frying pan.
It just happened with any other ROMs I have tried so far but with AURA maximum temp I have seen on my phone is not more than 38 Degree C. With other ROMS it was just above 38 all the time.
If you don't mind flashing different ROM, try it.
Basically what I do is load into CMW
Wipe Battery Stats
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Wipe Cache
Wipe Data
Install ZIP
Reload Phone and use it for a bit
Process the battery stats wipe cycle twice
Battery is just normal now
Good Luck
It seems to me to be obvious issues with GB right now..which is disappointing because I was expecting it to get better. I went from 16+ hours of usage (with 2-4hrs of onscreen time) to about 8-10. I've went from Orange 2.3.4 to CherriPi now to Alien #3 with both the 1.1 o/c kernel as well as the stock kernel..with no improvements. I did notice a slight improvement when I turned the Social Applications from Push to 60mins..but still am nowhere near where I was with Froyo (yes..I've tried xploited's tips as well). I know its not my apps or configurations because none of that has changes since 2.2..

Can I ask real quick some questions? First off what do you have running as far as processes, cause for instance if Tune in Radio is left on running in background it KILLS my battery life. If I forget to exit it. Also, did you freeze any bloatware that alien didn't? example. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=972459 Also, what kernel are you using? Are you overclocking? Over / undervolting? Just trying to get a better idea of what's up unless I missed it in a previous post. But I think I read em' all.
@phalanx I haven't frozen anything. I'm using the last Alien full build including kernel. The only apps I have installed are facebook, google+, and XDA premium app. The thing that is supposedly killing my battery is phone idle. It's doing slightly better today than it has been. It says it's got about 10 hours so far. But it's still nowhere near the 12-16 I used get.

Not possible by someone who actually uses there phone. I never thought I was a heavy user but seeing replies like above I have to be past the definition of heavy user. With my extended battery I could get 2.5 days on a single charge.
Im also having battery drain with bionix newest rom. Nothings changed in my day-day usage. probably flash another modem or something.
I think I might switch to stock froyo if things don't get better. Or just order a new battery. Because it just drops like a rock. And im using watchdog but it doesn't really help that much. Or could someone with experience with battery drain guide me on how to stop it from happening?

Yes I got it from t-mobile but I have not used stock long enough to see whether it was just a rom issue. I have only flashed team whiskeys roms and they seem to kill my battery. Nero v3 was the best but still wasn't great. I leave around 6:30 in the morning and maybe use the phone to get on xda, engadget, facebook, etc for about 1 hour, But my battery drops like a rock when I do this. And ever since bionix v it has only gotten worse. From that one hr of usage it drops 40 percent. Is hsdpa that big of a battery-killer? Because on wifi it seems to do a little better. Idk if this is just a network issue or what? Like right now it dropped 2 percent just from typing this up. brightness is less than half and everything is set to manually refresh. Wth?

They all do. The best thing you can do is leave it hooked up all day and use it as little as possible. Actually, I have not used any of these yet but I hear pretty good reviews for Juice defender & Startup Auditor both found on the market.
I just don't want to use one of those apps because I used juice defender and it turned off my 3g to save power, and it never ever came back on. Even after I reboot it didn't go on. So I had to flash back to an earlier rom.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
Custom Roms drain battery even more than stock ones do? WTF? The most important reason why Im intending to install one is the ****ty battery life on my Vibrant that the Froyo stock update only made it worse.
Is there any extended battery for the vibrant out?!
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
With most of the custom ROM's out there you should get about 15 to 20 hrs of battery life. Trigger and Auxura will get you 20 to 25. Those numbers are with normal use. If you're talking, texting, watching You Tube and playing Angry Birds all day you're gonna kill your battery alot quicker.
So trigger's rom is more battery efficient than that of bionix?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
It certainly seems like it to me, although I believe that I installed Overstock 1.4 incorrectly when I tried to flash it after I put Bionix on there (receiving horrible battery life), whereas I used the .zip for Trigger that included Overstock already. Not sure if it was that or simply due to the difference in Roms. I don't usually have 3g and wifi on when I'm not using it, but even with frequent texting I get about 40ish hours total according to Battery left.
Cool, then Trigger it is.
Trigger and Bionix give approximately the same battery life if using overstock kernel.
And by that you mean preserving the stock kernel when flashing the custom Rom, right? Im a noob in this you know
Na, it's called "Overstock Kernel" it comes with trigger by default, so you'd just leave it for that. However, you'd need to download it for Bionix and first flash the rom, reboot, and then flash the kernel.
Easy way to save battery, when not using data is to put your phone on the edge network instead of 3g, phone works great on edge. you only need 3G for data use

Hi guys,
Has anyone else been experiencing less than satisfactory battery life upon installing the GB update? This morning after I took my unit off of its charging dock it was fine. An hour later in the office (with no incoming calls or other usage by me) and the damn thing dropped to 80%!! That has never happened before. Is there an add-in or something to counteract this drainage?
HELP.
TIA
The "Soak Testers" have been warned that there is a lot of syncing that goes on the first day of a build, and since these are all totally clean installs, the battery info could be off. Wait a couple days and see what happens.
I had the same issues. I calibrated the battery this morning on a full charge and it is much better.

I have actually seen a boost in battery life. While i was on 2.2 I did all that i could to get through 3/4 of a day on a full charge. Now, with similar usage, I have been going to bed with 50% battery remaining.
On the topic of battery life, I have been playing around with Juice Defender Plus. Essentially it turns off my 3G and wifi radios when my screen is off. Does anyone know if that constant turning on and off of the radios uses more battery than if i just leave them on?
I bet I have at least 20 things I froze on titanium backup..

When i got the X2 I would get the low battery alarm between 4 and 5 pm under moderate use on average. P3 didn't modify how the phone handles battery life, people have this issue on both versions, I read another post that said if there is any remnants of 2.2.2 on the phone it may be causing this, I think that is why they recommend you sbf, factory reset, wipe all caches, then update, if you have the time/ energy try it and let us know how it works.

I flashed the newest update (2.3.4) this last weekend and although its been great with battery life, I cant seem to get the actual reporting to settle in.
When I take it off the charger its reporting 100%, and throughout
the day it obviously drains the battery. The problem is when I reboot the phone, it starts back up reporting 10-20% higher battery life then when I shut it down. So in reality, I have more battery life left then whats being reported.
I charged to 100% and wiped battery stats using bootstrap. Then drained the battery all the way, and charged all the way back to a full charge.
Can you guys think of anything else that may fix this issue?

Indeed it will, anything built from the 2.3.4 update will have the bug unless devs find a way to properly fix it.
i hope a fix comes soon but it pry won't be from motorola. i don't see them sending out an update just for one issue unless they have some other issues to fix that i haven't heard about yet. hopefully sooner than later
I have this also, as well as random reboots.
2.3.4 didn't really do much for me, the only real difference I notice were that random reboots now happen every 2 or 3 days instead of every day.
ya that's not good, the update was supposed to stop that. they've been doing these updates and creating the OS for all these devices for so long now id think they would have it pretty much down by now. maybe they need to do more testing before releases...idk...

This is the original one I believe
Hello, all, since I've had my Note 2 I've been incredibly impressed with the battery live, much better than other droids I've owned. Within the last two weeks or so, however, I've seen a dramatic drop in battery life. Where I used to be able to last a day and a half without charging, The phone is now not capable of lasting through the day. There hasn't been any real change in my usage patterns, but I am constantly trying new apps, so I figured that one of the new ones must be the culprit. The stock battery stats indicated that Android System was consuming about 41 percent of the battery, which based on previous readings and having owned other droids seemed much too high. I downloaded Battery Stats Plus, which indicated hat the rogue app was wssyncmldm, consuming that same 41 percent. I wasn't familiar with this app, but google revealed that it manages ota updates? I tried rebooting the phone, and went back to Battery Stats Plus, which now indicated that same 41 percent, but named the app "Factory Test." I let the phone charge overnight to a full 100, then checking again today, I'm seeing similar numbers. Today Factory Test is listed at about 33 percent. Both apps are active in application manager, and reappear as soon as I force close them. Neither can be disabled on my stock, non-rooted note 2. I've not tried the factory reset just yet, was hoping to avoid that, but wondered if anyone had any suggestions.
Thanks so much, all!!!

I'm not sure how much help I can be, but I'll do my best.
Let's start with the obvious things
1. Try uninstalling any apps that you recently installed
2. In application manager go under all and look for the "wssyncmldm" culprit. I don't have it in my application manager but I have one that is very close in name
3. Have you recently installed any OTAs?
4. Are you rooted by any chance?
5. When I updated to the 4.1.2 update, I had a similar battery issue. I just ended up backing up all my apps with "Helium" (No root required if you plug it into a pc with some directions) and just did a factory in settings. It fixed the battery issue for me, though I never looked into it to see if it was this same culprit.
I hope I can help in some way, I'll try my best though!

Well every single one I have used, and I've flashed em all, are excellent. Don't be scared to flash em, the worst that can happen is you'll have a bootloop and you can restore your nandroid. They offer amazing features, some more so than others, and can make your phone run super fast with excellent battery life.

Would you mind posting links on your top 2 or 3? I might give them a shot since I have a nandroid backup.

Perseus, PB&J, and Sabre are probably the top three, not including stock.

I'm not running any rom right now... Just rooted 4.1.2. I've read faux was a good one though.

OK after running the latest faux kernel and adding grennify I'm back to 4.1.1 battery life... Thanks for giving me the push to flash the kernel.
