Hi everyone! Im the developer of Moogly, a simple but useful todo-list widget that started as a project for Honeycomb.
Its supposed to look like this:
But there have been reports that it doesnt work properly on some devices! If someone could be so kind as to try the Lite version and if it doesnt stretch properly, send me some screenshots and log files!
Also people have had problems with the widget picker not showing Moogly till reboot, so some feedback on that would be appreciated as well...
You can also post issues at the main thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202211
Thanks, i really appreciate this kind of feedback it helps improve the app a lot!
Oh come on guys? No takers at all?
i tried it on my galaxy tab... it gave no prolems. No problems with stretching at all. I could not recall that i had to switch off my tab... worked immediatly.
running 3.2 btw. on galaxy tab 10.1
Good to know, thanks. Ive just increased the number of entries in the free version by the way!
please update:
Tick graphic tweaked
Increased size of tick indent
Added option to expand to full screen when focusing on notes
Added Right-to-left (beta)

yeah, was going to remove it because i found a free todo list which had more entries available... now still have moogle... like the lay out.
is it also possible to give small in-app previous from the themes?
Yeah that would be cool!
I would like to - just havent had time yet. But:
I was wondering - if someone is interested in shring their themes?
You can post the hex numbers here and ill add them to the app!
No takers i assume? I want to add a few themes that would go with TouchWiz...
Ive bought the gtab as for your reccomend - moogly is the first thing i put on it
Yeah, its not a bad device...
Now i have seen you bought it as well! Good on ya!
How is the new build?
Working perfectly! Thanks a million!

Must have been a fever dream but really, its there if you know where to look...
I would be glad to try it for you, but I don't want to pay for it just to help you test it. Do you have an APK you can send me?
Just use the lite version.
OK so downloaded this the other day... Just about what I was looking for. Small foot print, themable... And so far works perfect on my tab. Good job dev!!!!
One request... Not sure it can be done with out access to a server. Right now my goto app for my to do app needs is EverNote, for the main reason that I can make a to do list on my Tab on the train ride to work in the morning. Then have that to do list on my eVo all day as I run around my kitchen (I'm a chef) checking off things I complete or adding more things to do. I can also check and add items from my desktop if I get some office time.

Other than that it's a great app, simple and straightforward.

Its a more complex feature... but we have thought of a way it could be done without a server

Just found this app the other day and love it. It is a highly customizable clock widget. You can design your own clock or download one of the many prebuilt ones. Dev is super responsive too! App is still beta but is awesome! I have no connection with this app, I just wanted to share a good app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.hubalek.android.makeyourclock
That's pretty cool, thanks for sharing man!
Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to play with this a bit.
Have you heard of ultimate custom clock widget? In my humble opinion it is the one and only app that allows you to have the most freedom and ease in regards to customization. It is amazing just thought I'd let you know in case you haven't seen it.

Wow i just checked that out and it has a ton of features! Checking it out but seems like it will take forever to design.
I like "Make Your Own Clock" because "Ultimate" overwhelmed me. If there was a way to use Ultimate on the PC and download the clock to my phone I could do it, but I'm just not that nimble on a 4.3" screen!
Sent from this here thing that can taptalk
The ultimate one is growing on me. I could easily waste a day or two at work messing with it. Lol.
Problem is it doesnt resize well.
Edit: actually it does. Just needed to read the faq.
I think either one of these plus screencast should make it a lot better to play with.

I'm glad you like it! It seems overwhelming at first but once you get going its easy. Plus its fun to import a skin from the thread and modify it and use them as a starting point for you. I thought that I'd come across rude after I posted in here cause afterwards I thought about it and I could it have been misconstrued as an attempt to hijack your thread. Apologies on that.
Btw a trick I use for finding new skins is searching on Google under the images tab. Adjust the time parameters to last week or 24 hours and you can find skins that aren't posted to xda enjoy and have fun. Hope to see some of your skins in the official skins thread!

Don't know if I'm missing something or not. But I am not seeing the widget in the widgets list. I created a clock and exported it. I see it on my SD card. But I can't figure out how to set on my desktop. I watched over half the video before having to start work also. Any help would be great. I would love to get rid of the stock sense clock.
EDIT: Nevermind. The widgets decided they wanted to appear last night.

Some of you may have heard of tablet mode and if you have tried it you know well that it smashes your phone. Apps are small, their layout is screwed, things overlap, crash or stop working, Google Play forbids you to download, if you tried AOKP you cant even use launcher and phone. In short, it is a mess.
PARANOIDANDROID changed that. It does not "heal" tablet mode, it obliterates the boundaries. You define how big or small apps are, you define in which UI they display, no matter if your phone runs in tablet or phone mode, which also you can define. Customize every single entity on your phone, lockscreen, navigationbar, system-components, widgets, apps. If you prefer stay with your three bearpaw buttons + drop-down curtain or switch to a combined navigationbar + drop-up notificationcenter, enjoy Youtube in 3D, Gmail and settings in 2-columns, Chrome in its better mobile UI, etc. Nothing overlaps, nothing crashes, everything works as you'd expect. This is completely new ground and has never been realized before, it is lightyears from tablet mode.
We created it to establish the idea that tablet/hybrid mode can indeed work and that is was an error on Googles side to use the same layout for high resolution devices that is used on tiny little things like htc wildfire. We saw how badly build.prop tablet-mode was milked so we decided to remain closedsource until the codebase is mature enough to publish. Our first repos went public last week and the rest will follow soon, i will personally commit the hybrid sourcetree into CM9. Until then, do not ask us for sources, we have good reason to do it like this and when it's out people will know why, they will see something that works, not features for show. We are still fully open to ports. As long as they stay true to our vision and base on CM9.
As the sheer amount of porting requests needed to be addressed somehow we open this topic so maintainers can help each other and it'll be easy for us to take a look once in awhile as our pm-boxes are exploding. We understand that setting up PA can be quite confusing since it introduces must-have configurations that are unique.

Eh, I've spoken with the developer about this in length in the past. I don't see him going back to support 2.3 and below honestly. He has his work cut out for him with network support as it is and he's really not a fan of older versions of Android from what I can tell.
He did release source code for the app when it supported 2.3 and below and there was a compiled version/ongoing project but it may be discontinued. Here is the website (roughly translates to error establishing connection?) and here is an apk link. It pales in comparison to mizuu but it provides similar functionality.
With all that said, good luck in your venture.
Yes but if a bunch of people support the suggestion then he might consider it. It is why the suggestions section is there open to everyone, we'll see how it goes but we need to keep pushing .
~ V
Cannot access that option any longer
I just went to that site and they have 'greyed out' the option of CM7 support.....
I was able to vote it up earlier but it seems he has disabled it unfortunately, with this comment
Hey!
Sorry, but that’s not going to happen. For a number of reasons, I’m not planning on supporting anything other than Android 3.0+. The low RAM issue is the most prominent one, and that’s also what’s making ICS and Jelly Bean run slower on your device. Devices with Android 2.x or older generally have limited RAM memory, and that’s just not suited for Mizuu.

Sorry Veronica
There is another app, MovieBrowser that has similar functionality and I know the developer of Mizuu talks to its developer from time to time (I think MovieBrowser has network support actually). Its not exactly the same as Mizuu (and I prefer Mizuu honestly) but it is also 3.0+ only. Perhaps you can nudge that developer?

for me, this app looks like made with sole purpose - show the ads. Not for real usage. No gaps between icons, always show ongoing notification, too squarish. It doesn't look as fancy as original toolbox. The only advantage against original toolbox is unlimited items. Actually, 5-item limitation of original toolbox is easy to fix.
Not a real replacement, sorry...

definitely. I've looked at a few of his posts and he hasn't contributed anything other than screen mirroring fix, which most people barely use. Sorg just like to come in and troll threads, brag about what he's posted, criticizes other's efforts, and never posts his "ports".
The way I see it, until some of these "ports" are released and shared, sorg is just looking for attention, and doesn't really have any of them done, just screenshots of other people's work.

I agree completely, looks like it's out of 2010 or even earlier but my first app was the same way keep working hard and you'll get there!
Hmmm... the background is nice, but remember that the main focus (I hope) is the content, make sure it stands out more than the background. Some of the text doesn't fit in well but the placement and margining is ok I think. The settings and contacts look more nicer than the main menu.
Like others have said, make the foreground elements stand out more. Also, on the menu page you have text in light blue, green, red and white. It makes for a very mixed impression, like you didn't know which color to pick.
You don't need an exit button either, so you can remove that. Also, if the user wants to contact you it's better if you make it a button that starts an Intent to e-mail you. Otherwise the user needs to do everything themselves, open up their mail client, hope to remember and type your email correctly before they can send feedback. Make it easy for the user.
