Ok so I was having several issues post OTA to 2.3.4 (rooted) so I figured what the heck time to try a Custom ROM. Now I am stuck at the Moto Dual Core Screen with Unlocked in the upper left.
Here's how I got here:
1. Installed Pudding
2. Got the Failed to boot 0x100 error
3. Correct error by re-unlocking (solution via SEARCH)
4. Phone came up fine with Blur Setup.
5. Installed SuperUser via preinstall
6. Confirmed SuperUser
7. Install Root Explorer to confirm Root
8. Installed CWM http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1138541.html
9. Rebooted and confirmed still working fine.
10. Went into CWM Recovery and followed these setups to install Alien3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16156636#post16156636
And now I am stuck at the Moto Logo...
So what next or any suggestions...
try wipe data&cache after install alien#3.

Things went from bad to worst, I fixed my market update and had the utlities on the device i needed to i tryed flashing the Neutrino Rom.
After it was done it rebooted and said "failed to boot 2 starting rsd".
So I downloaded RSD Lite and found the unlock SBF which I applied. Now I can get into the FastBoot menu's and go to Android Recovery and try to do the back to stock option, it says it completes then reboots...
Then it just sits and sits and sits on the motorola Dual core logo.
Can someone please help me here. I cant seem to find any of my backups i made with system recovery or rom manager. I also didnt load RomRacers Recovery (which i just now noticed)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
So, did you unlock the bootloader before trying to flash the ROM?
Does it say "Unlocked" at the boot logo now?
Get back into fastboot and flash romracer's recovery and then try to mount the storage and get another rom on there.

i unlocked the bootloader after the update failed (i panicked) and yes it does say unlocked at the top now
Well, you mentioned you can get into fastboot so that's a start. You can try to flash a proper recovery and try to boot into recovery and see if you can mount the storage, or if you have a card reader you can just put a ROM on your sd card and then flash. If you can't get into recovery but you can get into fastboot you can flash a rom that way. You'll have to search for the procedure but I'm almost certain it can be done. If all else fails, you can install the unlocked "Full" SBF through RSD Lite, but it is not really recommended but should work.

Thanks so much. I got radracers on there and reflashed the neutrino rom again. Everything appears to be working. Now to just figure out the rest.
Thanks again.
Look tke the sd card and load the rom and google apps. Then go and fastboot wipe and re install the rom and try to boot honestly it just sounds like you got a corrupted rom
I have Flashed LeeDroids newest Rom to my GSM from Mwakious,Using Rom Manager i created a full backup before the Flash Process
The Installer had said that flashing was successful,I let the Phone reboot
It Took about 20 to 25 minutes, thats when i knew something was wrong,Understanding there is a problem i took out the battery wanting to to wipe and use the backup i created,(didnt install the animations or boot sound),i loaded up the Bootloader and went into Clockwork, when i choose something i get stuck on the Rom manager logo ???.
Whats the safest way for me to be able to wipe and reinstall the ROM
*update* i flashed the boot.img out LeeDroid, now my phone contentiously plays the htc boot animation*
First, don't use Rom Manager, just backup, wipe, and flash in clockwork.
Second, did you flash the correct radios/firmware/kernel for that rom?
Third, did you fully wipe? Even if you selected it in Rom Manager, it likely didnt work, hence see number 1.

I had the same problem with LeeDriod, stuck on HTC logo. try to RUU with the correct file. you will be stocked. but before RUUing you have to relock your bootloader by typing "fastboot oem lock" then RUU
I had this problem for a week and I thought my phone is dead and I had to trash it but after RUUing I am back to stock lolz
I had used 4ext recovery thinking i would be able to wipe and install another Rom,i wiped everything but since, everytime i try to install a rom i get stuck at the htc logo in boot,i will have to painfully relock it and RUU,but which file ?

Depends on your location and carrier. Also, I think getting s-off will solve your bootloop problems.
Read, Search, Read again, ... Then Ask with Tapatalk 2
Rooted a atrix 4g AT&T US.
I had the stock rom running after root, then when I tried to setup a custom rom it wont get past the M logo. I can get into fastboot but when I try to flash any system.img it says the file is too large. I tried erasing system, boot and data, then got into CWM and tried to install from zip. It runs and says it finished. but still no boot. I dont know what else to try. any ideas?
did you format system, data, cache in advanced menu in recovery?
Sent from my MB860 using xda app-developers app
I noticed only one important thing missing from your post, did you unlock the bootloader first? Rooting is totally separate from being able to install custom roms.

So I used fastboot to flash a new recovery (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204500) Worked like charm, Roms load correctly and are loading great. (Although the one I am trying right now is stuck on the boot animation) I did have one loaded and working in only a few seconds after updating the recovery.
Hope this helps someone else.

Try to restore to the stock rom with the RSDlite method, it's the most simple.
Then check the automatic unlock and root for the atrix, it's a command line program that makes everything by itself, it must be somewhere here in the top guides of this forum

Do NOT use RSD or SBF files. Use fruitcakes.

Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53557529&postcount=2302
Follow the first link and download NABI2RESIZE. Extract that.
Then in second link download hawkcore.zip and run that bat file.
You will need to setup APX driver.

Right I have got it to boot onto recovery and installed the jellybean bootloader, but now it only boots when I go to recovery abd boot as normal, also when I try to charge it when on it freezes the whole tablet and charges very slowly. Also when I am in recovery and I went to wipe Calvin cache and data it comes up "are you sure, no OS installed" and then when I do wipe it it's says successful but also unable to mount e/ data, no file or folder found. I am also unable to mount the sd card? Sorry for the long post but I wanted to get all the problems in, thanks fir all your help

So you have the ICS bootloader installed if you followed what I said above. You have to use the ICS TWRP. Use that version to do the procedure you first started with. Restore version 2.3 system, boot and addon, then before reboot the Jellybean bootloader.
Sorry for slow response out of town this weekend.

Finally got sorted, just needed to flash twrp 2.3.6, and the issue with charging was just a charger that nabi sent out as a replacement. So all is good, thanks for all the help
I got out of the phone mod life about a year ago..
but one of my friends is going through some financial stress and needs a phone.. i had a Sprint M9 sitting here for about a year.. So i decided i'd try to unlock it so he could use it.
Needless to say i'm a little rusty and a lot of things have changed
I asked Stifilz to help with the unlock and he directed me to
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-one-m9/general/nv-unlock-sim-t3314755
I needed to get the MSL, so I attempted the root following this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/general/guide-root-install-twrp-htc-one-m9-t3061133
Everything went smoothly with the instructions.. only problem is that I am now stuck in a bootloop of the HTC boot screen with the red writing.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
firmware? boot.img? new rom?
Hi.. phone has been sitting down collecting dust since the last post.. a friend needs a phone so I'm trying to get it working to give it away.. anyone have any solutions for this?
I am willing to pay to get this resolved.
Hold power button and volume down button at the same time and boot to recovery. Can you get into twrp recovery?

Hi? I'm in same situation. From stock, I didn't follow any particular tutorial. I used my knowledge from HTC m8. I unlocked bootloader, flashed latest twrp for m9, flashed latest supersu zip. And that's it. Boot loop afterwards. I flashed supersu via OTG Drive. Could that be an issue? Phone is still S-ON
UPDATE: I some how wiped cache, dalvich, data and system partition in twrp now it says I have no OS installed. I think I wasn't supposed to wipe system partition? How to get back to phone plz? Could you Point me to a restore file or stock HTC file I can restore with adb or twrp? I didn't make a backup before I started the whole thing.
Grab stock rooted rom from development thread n flash that. Should be good after that
