[Q] Ringtone and notification sounds changing randomly - HTC EVO 3D

Anyone else having this problem? I'm running supra rom and I use Gosms instead of the default app. Not sure if this is relevant but I figured I'd give extra details. I also use adw launcher instead of sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I did a factory reset and formatted my sd to get rid of these ringtones that it kept changing to. Working so far..thanks for no replies :-|

Had this issue too. It just stopped by itself.

Glad you figured it out. And FYI replies are not required... No replies probably means no one else is having the issue... Kind of pointless to reply with "no"

That's funny cause someone right above your post clearly stated that they had the same problem..go be a smart ass somewhere else bum

Text issues

Recently my thunderbolt has been sending 4 copies of the same text message to everyone. Has anyone encountered this problem or know of a fix?

Mine sent a message three times today. Not sure why. Using Go SMS Pro.
This is a Verizon network issue, along with several others regarding the thunderbolt. Hopefully it will be fixed soon .

I'm having a different kind of texting issue.
Sometimes when people text me, I'll pull down the notification bar to reply, write my message, and try to send. But the "Send" button is greyed out! I have to close out and reopen for it to work again.
Are you running a custom Rom or a different sms app than stock?

Stock for both.
EDIT: I just realized you probably might not have been talking to me. Oops! If you were though, disregard this edit.

Yes that was directed at you. For the little time that i was on stock i was noticing that too. I think that it is a bug with the sense text. I disabled everything in stock sms and started using go sms, seams to have fixed it for me.
Sense seems to have some issues updating it's texting widget for me, I'll get the notification for a new sms, I'll go to my widget screen to read it and it won't be there, it's not until I go through the notification bar to read it that it shows up, kinda annoying.

What causes the need to fix permissions everytime I want to flash something?

(Question) What causes the need to fix permissions everytime I want to flash something? Everytime I go to fix permissions, it seems to take longer and longer to fix also (approx. 30-45 seconds). Also, it seems like this is always the fix in order to have successful flashing of themes/fonts/mods. Is there a resolution to this?

Did you see my answer to this exact same question over at Android Central? You can't get a better explanation than that.

No sir, I did not see that. Thank you for answering it twice for me!!
Anyways...Well I understand this. I am just confused as to why I continuously have 152 errors whenever i fix permissions. Doesn't seem to "fix" anything, unless i am doing something wrong. I've fixed via TE and CWM. Help is much appreciated.

I just did a simple Google search because I didn't know what you were talking about. Maybe if you do the same thing you will find all the different downloads I found.
Don't be a ****. I did as well.
Instead of taking the time out to give evidence to your dickishness, why don't you be a good person and help?

[Q] GPS continuously repeats same directions

I am currently running MeanROM ICS 2.4. When I use GPS, the voice navigation continuously repeats "In a quarter mile" over again for every direction. I've tried to clear cache and dalvik, and I've also tried doing ##gpsclrx#.
When I do ##gpsclrx#, I enter in the MSL, and when I press OK, a message pops up that says "commit failed."
I've searched the forum, and the only thing that I've found was to do ##gpsclrx#, which hasn't been working. Has anyone experienced this, or know how to resolve it?
Thanks
Did you try clearing the app data? I don't know much about the ## command you tried but if navigation is stuck on 1 step in the directions, it sounds like it could be the app. If it can accurately locate you, it probably isn't the Gps antenna or settings.

Thanks for the reply, I just tried clearing the app data, still have the same problem.
Did it work under MeanRom ICS 2.3? That's what I'm using...no problems for me.

Ha! This is happening to me too. "In one and a half miles" over and over. Annoying as hell!
Just deleted all the sound files in the folder you indicated. Will fire up nav to see if the woman is still dyslexic
Thanks for the tip!

Text messages disappearing (MJ7) -

Anyone having this issue? They randomly disappear and the only thing to make them come back is rebooting the phone. I've read things like Launcher8 does it, I had that installed but it's gone. Is this a bug with the MJ7 build?? I don't have too many text messages to cause a memory dump because I deleted them all and it continued happening.
