Creating Odin Packages? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've noticed there really aren't any Odin flashable ROMs out, whether custom or stock. Does anyone know how to create these or know the partitions of which everything needs to be pulled from? I can think of a few instances where this might be handy

I'm working on one for stock as we speak

[Recovery][4.22.11]CWM3 with voodoo

Here is the Clock Work Recovery Mod 3 with voodoo support from nemesis2all, JT, Koush and Project-voodoo. It only supports edify scripting so be warned most themes etc will not flash. Its time we made the switch guys. We were on eclair for months, lets not hold onto old ways.
*4.22.11* Terrible wording, ADB DOES WORK. Even in recovery.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1148746/CWM3.zip
*4.24.11* This is an older version at this point already. I do not have the means to compile a kernel so I will have to wait to mooch off of JT's compile of CM7.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1046905<<<<<<<<<Newer version
Why no adb?

Every cwm3 I've used from Nemesis has worked flawlessly...
cwm 2.5 supports edify and amend and has adb.
Please tell me a real reason why we should change other than to be like all the others.
How can I switch to this if usb mass storage doesn't work on CM7 and adb doesn't work on cw3? Is there another way to push files to my phone using cw3 without adb?

No they're not. Haven't personally used an old recovery in forever. People just aren't updating their zips. Nothing wrong with recovery. If adb doesn't work, then tonu must have broken it.

The real reason we switch is so that we can do our part to help the devs make these phones better. That's how this while thing works isn't it? Our it's supposed to anyways. The devs create something new and we test it to perfection and move forward to bigger and better things. It's not always about us taking and taking from the devs. We can do our part to help too. Anyways great job guys. Thanks for the hard work.

Bad use of words on my part. ADB does work, updated OP. ADB just does not work while you are in clockwork like it did before.
Also to everyone else, I for one like edify better, it makes more sense then the amend garbage. Also the newer clockwork supports gingerbread and this older one does not so it seems. If we ever plan to advance we need to prepare now.

^^This. If this cwm 3 is from jt and company, why didn't one of them post it? Where did it come from? Was this pulled off IRC and posted before jt and company were ready to post it? I'm confused. Please forgive my noobness.
Is this the recovery we can get through rom manager?
Did you code something in there?

Removing Transparent Pull Down

Is it possible for anyone to point me in the right direction for something like a mod or instructions on how I'd be able to remove the transparent pull down from das Bamf 1.8.6 and maybe replace it w/ the stock pull down?
As always any info is appreciated.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
just find a theme or rom you like and switch out the corresponding png files in /system/app/SystemUI.apk. I can't remember the names of the ones you'd want to swap out but it shouldn't be that hard to figure out.
Actually 1.8.6 is froyo, so they be in framework-res/drawable-hdpi.

Yikes, I've never flashed Bamf but I suppose I should have checked the vers to prevent giving the wrong info. Been on GB since January so I'm always in that frame of reference. Anyway, thanks for catching that.
OP, if you want to do this easily on your phone check out NinjaMorph. Works fine for stuff like this when you learn how to use it.

OP, try flashing this in recovery to get your stock looking notification pull down. Should be no need to wipe anything ... but, of course, be sure you have a current backup. I am not running this ROM and can not test this .zip. Let me know if this is what you're after.

Thanks for this brother. I will give it a shot right now because I'm a loser and I have nothing else better to do.

[Q] Stock ROM GP 5.0 USA?

I've had CM9 on for a while and loved it, but over time its gotten slower and glitchy.... So, I've decided to switch back to stock for the time being, however... I absolutely CAN NOT find it for the USA 5.0, so, if someone could point me in the right direction, and maybe tell me how to do it, I'd be very appreciative.

MK2 mobile Odin ROM options

I've been away a while. If I'm understanding correctly I can one click route my MK2 and install Samsung based ROMs without a custom recovery using mobile Odin. Can anyone please confirm it or correct me? If I'm right can you give me ideas what to look for in a ROM that will work with this method. Thanks and sorry if this has been asked. I did search but there wasn't much to look at in terms of direct solutions.

Personally, I've never heard of what you're describing. The only way I know of with MK2 is to root using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565758.
After that, your only option for roms is Safestrap. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2441441. You will only be able to install TouchWiz 4.3 based roms. Make sure they're compatible with Safestrap before you install.
My advice would be to do a lot of research. This is a good place to start. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2606501.
Good luck
Edit: Just noticed your profile says your using AT&T. This is the Verizon forum.

This is the Verizon forum, not at&t. However I believe mobile odin is only useful for restoring the phone to a factory state without a computer, not flashing roms, yet you must be rooted. I could be wrong though.

Ok looking like I misunderstood then. Thanks for the clarification. I don't think I trust the idea of the safestrap. I know it's safer, but I have been flashing ROMs for years and the recovery method makes me warm and tingly. I don't think they'll ever crack into the ability to flash the way we're all used to. For every genius we have that's capable of figuring it out, Samsung has 10 that can stop it. I pray they get it, but my hopes are fading.

safestrap has been around for years for other phones and recently hashcode ported to the S4 last fall. I have used it since that time with zero issues and have been running several ROMs at a time to evaluate, with again no issues with safestrap. Not sure why you wouldn't "trust it".....as it gives all us non-MDK owners ability to run something else than just stock.

Exactly, I've been hammering away on Safestrap since my RAZR and it's really safe just like the name implies. Granted I could flash AOSP on the razr, but my guess is at some point kexec will come around for the S4 as well. Too many really smart people working on that project for it to fail in my opinion.
Anyways.... For now Safestrap is awesome, and happy to have it.
