Can anybody tell me what is the name of the froyo kernel that gives awesome battery backup ? I hav used franco v14/v18/v19 (CFS) & mik's kernel but batt drains out fast. mik's kernel is very very responsive though ! I hav tried wiping batt stats on full change. But it didn't help me out.
LG's kernel & stock froyo ROM was gud but had video playback issues. thr4 had 2 make a leap

You havent mentioned the rom, but from the post you are using froyo. Try the latest kernel of franco, its quite good with battery and mik's kernel was never a battery drainer for me. You should wipe your battery status and report again.
no dear. batt is dropping 1% every 7-10 minutes. btw i am running rom quy now. batt drain also happened in open optimus on franco kernel v19 cfs. i havent tried bfs though

I'm not sure about flash support. Never cared about it. Try Mik's ROM with franco's kernel. That's the best combo you'll ever get.
P.S: Whatever ROM you're using, if apps keeping running in the background, the battery is going to get drained. That is the law of science. Manage your apps and their syncing and the battery life will improve automatically.
for me open optimus with franco kernal v1 (16th aug) is the best combo ...
Mike's CM7 has been the best for me till now! As you said, Openoptimus does have some bugs...
Try cm7 from mik
Sent from my LG-P500 using Tapatalk
You must give a try to mik's stable 6.5.7 with franco's kernel 19.2
It will take you beyond awesome speed as well as battery life

I installed CM7 from Mik..
but, It does not support data
Will Get back to OPENOptimus
i'm doing a rom stable with GB, it's based on CM7.
Now i have only a bug:
The serial number
try void #forever.. maybe that's the one you are looking for

It does support data just fine for people who read the instructions and use the proper baseband.

and I would say gingerlol, it comes with app2sd running which works perfectly for me. (couldn't get app2sd working on open optimus) also paulo kernal with axis inversion fix is really good for battery, Havn't tried any CM7 roms because my phone came 2.3.3 preloaded and don't wanna flash different baseband (can brick phone) so am waiting (eagerly) for mik to have a fix for this
Please vote and write what is your perfect combination and why. (If you can, include benchmarks, screenshots of battery life, games, whatever)
6.5.7 + goldenleaf gets my vote.... 6.5.8 has dsp FC probs...
getting a constant 60-72hrs on battery with 111012 goldenleaf and 6.5.7 (cyanogenMMatt 1.1)
Mik's 6.5.8 with goldenleaf. Coz Its more stable and battery life is pretty good.

Mik's 6.6.1 and Franco's kernel is the best combination I've tried.
Even though quadrant show low scores than 6.6.7 or 6.6.8,
the .35 kernel of Franco really makes the phone much faster and improves the graphics performance both 2D and 3D.
In the end it's personal preference based on your usage. mik 6.5.8 with fserve 18.4c or goldenleaf 111012 is what works best for me.
mik 6.5.8 + goldenleaf... smooth scrolling + good battery life..
.35 tree kernel is much smoother better battery life and just cleaner when doing operational tasks but 6.5.8 has the more compatibility with the transparent themes and mods like dark tremor data2sd so I am torn I wish he would update the.35 kernel release

Same Here hehe....
mik 6.5.8 + goldenleaf
mik 6.5.8 with goldenleaf 111012 is the best for me. With FServe 18.4c some apps were waking my phone at night, causing a little battery drain. Franco is very good too, but the battery of goldenleaf is better.
Benchmarks doesn't matter, because many options can influence on it. My games and sliders are 100% smooth. My battery's daily use: 5hours Ebuddy, 4 hours Music, 3G+2G (3G Pref.) all day long, 2 hours chatting SMS, 1 or 2 hours of game, 1 hour calling. And in the final of the day, my battery is still at 30~40%
Thanks FServe, Mik_os and franciscofranco
definately mik's 6.6.1 + f. kernel.
much better performance than 6.5.8 and other ROMs with .32 kernel (WITHOUT OVERCLOCK!)
for example, apps and games are running really smoothly unlike 6.5.8 and previous versions..
..and it's also very stable, don't know why it's labeled as testing release.
6.5.8 w/ goldenleaf gets my vote

Of course also this # void, but for me (and most users including franciscofranco) devoid rom is the best there so far for the O1
Well, the only way is for testing fences and judge yourself
EDIT: Another ROM I wanted to be good in the performance of the battery, it would be Phoenix by andy + latest version of franciscofranco kernel (.35), which despite the bugs that still has a very amazing ROM
As far as i know new baseband=bettersignal=lesser battery drain(since network search difficulty is less)

Hey guys,
Once again, Trettet has updated PerfectPeso to version 1.7a.
Battery wise in this version, is NOT good when run with the TA-GB v1.1 kernal, for me and possibly other users.
A major problem with the battery, is the drain. Running it on 728mHz with SmartAssV2 is normally optimal, and it has some massive battery drain errors. Even with JuiceDefender, the battery life is only maxxed by an hour more.
Another major problem, a non-updating battery level. It is constantly showing 100%, even after a whole hour... which is DEFINATELY wrong!
So, anyone who has errors battery wise, or who have fixes, post them here instead of the PerfectPeso thread... which is getting crowded.

Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Its a problem with nightlies, nothing major...a reboot fixes the percentage freeze and perfectpeso is based from nightlies
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Wipe battery stats if you think your getting the wrong information..I think perfect peso has a battery calibration application
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
It does have Battery Bar thingo app... is that it? I'm not sure.
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
The battery bar settings is just eye candy...glows a certain color when the battery is either near dead, half charged, yadda yadda..you get the point..since 1.7a doesn't come with battery calibration already just download from market and see what it does for you..but the whole percentage freeze is common among nightly builds,I'm on #30,it just did it to me when I was on #29 the other day....
