CM7 i can understand however with Doom's Rom there is not much of a problem.
I am even backported most of Wolf, Z and some Trip's 2.3.3 tweaks and all are working fine on my phone. (although not a ROM modder so won't be releasing the ROM but still tips i have shared on the ROM thread itself.)

Please try to clear data and cache from Market in Manage apps and then reboot. Reinstall a new Market otherwise. I would try that if I were you because its 2.3.5

[ROM] madmack's 2.5 (LA2) [RTL + Arabic support]

Why would I flash this ROM ?
This ROM is for people who want the latest Samsung ROM with full Right-To-Left (RTL) and Arabic shaping support changing as little as possible from Stock.
What's exactly changed from stock?
Rooted.
Fully Deodexed. Browser does not lag (Thanks brightidea).
PNG Optimized and Zipaligned. (Smaller memory footprint).
Used my universal framework patcher to get RTL support in Android's menus and text fields. This patch also gives you correct alignment of text.
Used brightidea's latest Gmail + Browser RTL files. This will give you full RTL and arabic support with any text in these apps and their dependencies.
Photoshop stuff: Small battery percentage, and Green 3G and Wifi Status bar when connected to GServices.

yep, still remember our deal
i dont' have time coz i'm leaving right now. but if you're flashing KE2, try to place only my new libwebcore.so in it and see if it crashes. The problem in libwebcore.so is gone for now i think, and thats the best way to test it.
we might be still having a problem with my font though. so you guys can test and try with different fonts to see if anyone of em will work.
THANKs
will test it 2nt .

I have some pretty good reason to believe that this is what Samsung has intended to give us. my initial tests also verify that
if it still crashes, then its either the fonts (first scapegoat), the deodexing or any mods you might have added to the system. so basically another problem for another time
Hi madmack
I used your new rom and it is pretty good but I faced some problems;
When I used the original font after arabizing the force close is better than when I used this rom
Firefox also used to work fine but now the Arabic letter is disconnected.
if it is possible please attach here the original Arabic font comes with this phone
thx mr madmack it is nice so far with little of force close
good job god bless u
firstly, Thank you for your work!
but what is RTL Arabic? sorry if this is a stupid question

Auto Rotate fix??

Has anyone found a fix for this other than to calibrate which doesn't work for me. I'm on 3.2..rooted with kershoots OC. Wonder what broke this feature for me.
Update: Ok so with some researched I see that kershoots or pershoots (whatever the name is) the OC kernel disables the auto rotate feature. How do I uninstall this OC kernel and switch back to the stock one?

That was only true for the old versions of the kernel which were meant for 3.1 (if you used the kernel for 3.1 on 3.2 it broke auto rotation).
I'm on 3.2 with pershoot's kernel and auto rotation works fine. Flash the latest version and it should work.
Or if you want the stock one, just flash that one, it will overwrite what you have automatically, no need to "uninstall" anything.

as nightmarebadger if your GT P-7500 have honeycomb 3.1 and your kernel is wrong you crash the autorotate function and so much.
For those who did this and want auto-rotate back and OC HoneyComb 3.2 GT P-7500.
1) download the last Kernel for this model http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/?p=2395
2) find the model you have: Example 10.1 3G, Touchwiz UX (HC 3.2 (stock); GT-P7500) download the .zip file
3) install the kernel.
and enjoy auto rotate.
HELP!! I'm a techie, but a newbie to Android and rooting and such.
I had a regular 3G Galaxy Tab 10.1, then I rooted it and put Overcome on it (this file: 001003-Overcome_10.1_Series_v2.0.0_P7500_Full.zip). Then I put this kernel on it because I read that I could overclock it to 1.4Ghz (boot-cm_2636.4_p4_ux-oc-xtra-vfpv3-d16_fp-102411.zip).
Everything was working great... except that I was having the same problem as above (the tablet wouldn't work with auto-rotate). I decided to try to fix it - I found this thread, and followed the instructions. I downloaded the Dec 11 kernel for this: 10.1 3G, Touchwiz UX (HC 3.2 (stock); GT-P7500. Then I booted into Recovery, tried to install an older version of ROM/Kernel (or something like that) thru Advanced Recovery, and then afterwards I installed this new kernel. And after all that, my device was completely wiped... but my auto-rotate STILL won't work! Can you please help!!
This is currently what I have on my device:
Model Number: GT-P7500
Baseband version: P7500DTLKG2
Kernel version: 2.6.36.4-cyanogenmod+ [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT Sun Dec 11 15:58:21 EST 2011
Build number: Overcome 10.1 Series v2.0.0 P7500JJKJ6
What am I doing wrong??
Did you change your stock rom? Overcom is a custom ROM. can you post a screencapture of your device information?
hi i found this thread and thought it was amazing because you could fx the auto rotate feature on the galaxy tab but i think i picked the wrong kernel and now im in hell is there any way to help this scenario
i have auto rotate but can't setup my device at all: all it says at startup is:
The applicatrion google services framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
the application setup wizard (process com.android.serupwizard) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again
please help all i want to do just start using my tab

1) There is a fix for the camera, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1938933 just download the latest fix and flash it via tour recovery. 2) Camcorder doesn't work at all, there will be a fix soon.
3) It is a Rom's/kernel's bug (and CM9.0 too)
4) Data usage doesn't work. It's a CM9.0 bug
5) Battery usage doesn't work too. It's a CM9.0 bug
6) It's an ICS limitation. Basically, have you tried from the contacts app? (not from the dialling menu)
7) Maybe it hasn't album image. Try fetching information (downloading info) from the player
8) There is NO automatic brightness.
I recommend you to flash the Feravolt's ROM and Kernel. It is very stable and it has fixed all the bugs (except the HWA and the videorecording)
Take a look http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1458001. The first one is the ROM and the last one the kernel. Choose the right kernel, the ICS kernel one.

You can also goback to C5303_12.0.A.2.254_CE.ftf with flashtool, it's an original sony rom android 4.1.2 based, totally beautiful and very very lag free.
don't want to be a spoiler ....but such an old system like cm10.1 or our old stock ROMs will not have security patches for stagefright

Guys I have tested this rom for many days and it has not shown any lag, that is the main point of it. All other roms out these show some sort of lag.
Testing it for 2 days, everything runs fast and smooth. Installed yahoo aviate launcher, some apps and lolipop nav bar.
The only problem is that there is no 4G/LTE support

YES THERE IS: Dial in the this number: *#*#4636#*#* (This will bring up "Phone info").
Tap WCDMA from under "Set preferred network type".
Select "LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)".
The 4G LTE network should now be activated.
Wow, ty. Activated LTE as well.
Also, there was a problem with DPS manager when playing music through PowerAPM player. Just a constantly crush error even with killed process. So i managed to delete it.
