[Q] Browser always "force closes" , so does "Phone" and "DRM Content""
Hello everyone
I have a Galaxy Ace running FirstUA ROM v1.2 (with 2.3.4 KPH) .
Recently , I've had various "force close" problems , so I ran "Fix Permissions" from the Recovery Menu (CWM 4.0.0.9) .
After that ran , I rebooted the phone . Most of those problems were fixed , but that move resulted in my Android Browser , my DRM Content and even my Phone (sometimes) force closing themselves .
Can someone please tell me what I did wrong ?
Thanks

Wipe Cache and Data.. i also Had Same Problem It was Solved

[Q] "android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. - Force close"
I wonder if somebody could help me with the following:
Im getting a message
"android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. - Force close"
when I try to use my contacts.
I have sync my contacts via google and via LGsuite IV but the same happens no matter which method I follow.
Originally the contacts appear OK categorized alphabetically by first name . But after changing the display order from name first to surname first and the same for appearance (in contacts-Menu -display options) the phone freeze and I get the above.
It seems to affect only the phone book as the contacts remain in the phone - when typing a tel number you get name suggestions.
Do you know how should I deal with it (I have the 10b software) .
The devise is NOT rooted , its new , and has no other apps than what comes with the device
Also when I power off the phone and and powering it on again I'm loosing the shortcuts for the market installed programs ,although the programs their-shelf still appear in the installed programs menu.
Thanks in advance

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Menu
2. system settings
3. profiles
4. home key
5. menu
6. system settings
7. profiles (results in no profiles showing)
8. application groups (results in : Unfortunately, settings has stopped)
If you haven’t tried one yet, I would first recommend a soft reset. That’s done by simply removing the battery from your phone, allowing a minute to pass, and putting the battery back in and turning the phone off.
If you’re still experiencing issues with your Settings crashing, . It’s possible there could be some older apps that aren’t compatible with the new operating system that are causing problems.
If it does not work the soft reset
Wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache + dalvik done.

[Q] Plz help , Settings>App Manager crashing repeatedly - SGS3 JB Rooted

Hello XDA Gurus – greetings from a disturbed SGS3 owner !!
My Phone : SGS3 i9300 international JB 4.1.2 unlocked rooted , in use for last 15+ months with no hassles what-so-ever , thanks to all the tweaks & mods I found from here . Its tuned & optimised like a well-oiled machine !!
However, something went wrong last week , probably an interrupted backup , and since then the App Manager ( Settings > Application Manager ) is constantly crashing when I try to change default settings using the ( bottom left ) menu button . All other stuff on the phone is working like a charm , only this glitch & quite an irritating glitch really !!
I think the system file for App Manager got corrupted somehow ( I don’t think its a “heart-bleed” affair , have checked using LOOKOUT extn ) , and all I need is the appropriate file & its location , so that I can over-write the corrupted one using Root Browser .
Could someone be kind enough to pl help me with the proper system file ( as an attachment ) and its correct location ( which folder in System ). I don’t think I need a full OS reinstall for this tiny issue .
Would be grateful for a quick help !!
Many thanks in advance !!
