as we know, x10 2.1 have a powerful tool: Flash tool. It can remove completely system apps. So I have a question here: can we have a tool or a command to remove completely system apps? So that we can install some software like google maps mod ownwhere easily, and remove the apps that we do not use.
Thank you all!
firstly, this is not development.....
secondly, that app has existed since android has existed. It's called root explorer

noob!
Root ex just delete the app, not remove or unistall it completely. You can try with google maps. you use root ex delete the app, then install the google map ownwhere mod, it will say "application not install".
in 2.1 stock room, the Flash tool work very well about this solution. but 2.3.3 not.

if you are installing another mod you have to copy it to system app folder and fix the permissions.....
Obviously since you are posting in the totally wrong section, and have no clue how to use root explorer, I would say you're the noob

Please tell me a list of apps that are safe to remove from XperiA X10 (2.1).
Also, I use Moxier to access my office emails. Is there a way to install the updated version from market? I tried it, and it did not let me install it even after rooting.
Lastly I have an icon on the application drawer which reads "org.microemu.android.Micro..." What is this? And How can I get rid of it?

It can't be updated because it's protected. Use Titanium Backup to uninstall Moxier. Then you should be able to get the latest version (which I believe you would have to buy).

It's org.microemu.android.MicroEmulator, which is a part of Opera Mini. It can also be used to run other JavaME apps on Android, but I can't find any list of apps that uses it. Did you delete Opera manually or something? Maybe it left some files behind. You could try installing and uninstalling Opera Mini.

The SAFEST way to uninstall system apps is like this:
1. install root explorer
2. use it to go to /system/app
3. click on the mount RW button at the top
4. use multiselect to select all the crap you don't want
5. tap on "move" and go to /data/app
6. mount rw here too
7. paste. with passion.
8. reboot your phone
9. you'll see all those apps are now uninstallable through the application manager . use mini uninstaller though, it is much faster and nicer.^^
If you are a lazy bug, use titanium backup, but i warn you, this thing doesn't uninstall like it should be done, so remnants will remain for sure. most of the time it doesn't matter, but sometimes it can **** up your phone and display stupid force close errors. good day, sir.

What about free software?
Em... you don't seem to understand.. okay, there are two types of apps: system apps and user apps. the only difference is that system apps cannot be uninstalled. so, stock crapware, like trials and things SE doesn't want you to uninstall are marked as system apps. even if they are freeware. mini uninstaller displays all uninstallable apps, so if they appear there, they can be uninstalled. you can download it from the market.

That was the question. Root explorer is not free.
I have just tried to use "super manager", free in market, but with no succes.
If anyone can help me to use this program?. Thanks.
If only is the big question here ,maybe someday i'll invent an app that will uninstall without having to root the phone

In any case you need a rooted phone.
The market has some free system app uninstallers you can try.
I dont remember which one I used since I uninstalled it when I finished getting rid of the system apps.
The X10 mini wiki contains instructions.
i use systemapp remover from market, works fine.

I found the software Root Uninstaller Pro v1.20 that should do the job.
Trying out now.
I'm using "Titanium Backup" for that, it has a lot of uses besides uninstalling bloatware.
Thanks Heimiko, will try out that software too. Currently the root uninstaller able to solve my case.
If you only wants to hide them you can use "Launcher Pro"

Yup~ before root u need to unlock bootloader 1st~
try to avoid unlock bootloader if u just want to keep your phone warranty~
try to stop stock apps operating; android assistant can block other apps at startup and kill apps~
dont waste your phone warranty~
Does somebody got a list with what .apk is what app? Some of the .apk does not resemble some of the apps, and don't want to delete something that might kill my phone.
edit: Btw, you can uninstall apps in flashtool.
If you find the right apk then you can remove the app without any problem with this tool? I mean if the app isnt important, like Gamesbypopcap.

Yeah! Certain app/apk I was remove using root uninstaller - result; my phone running on 235/334MB free space memory~
backup before remove~ if you want to install back to system app you needs to purchase root uninstaller pro
=/ not good if you make mistake~

try use root uninstaller - you will know with apps that u want to remove, just refer to icon of apps in root uninstaller =) list? refer to 1st post
Yeah, you need to root your mini for that. It voids the warranty, but I'm pretty sure you can reverse it so people can't tell. Technically, you've voided your warranty, but if you remove the evidence, no one can tell and your warranty is honored. You need to know what you're doing, obviously, so you should look into it more before trying it.
Hey guys i have another question, i dont think a new thread is needed.
My mini pro says the sdcard has 1.2 gb used but when i select all files inside the card with Windows explorer it says there is only 350mb used. Why? and who's right?

remove them from the rom if its a custom rom and install
If stock you will need to root and remove on the phone system /apps
Or use TB to freeze or uninstall .
If you remove an essential app then your phone may not boot .

already used a debloater but it didnt remove these.
then you used it wrong in some way .

Probably a dumb newb question but If you do this and the phone won't boot, is it bricked forever or can you get it back somehow?
If you install cwm you can make a back up before you touch anything.
Or you could just install the stock Rom for your phone if you get stuck, but that would mean starting from scratch.
In regards to removing apps there are lists stating what apps are safe to remove.

Is it OK to remove the standard web browser in order to force all apps that open URLs to use chrome instead?

You dont need to remove the default browser to do that..just make Chrome your default browser..
if you really don't want to use it, just disable in app info. setting-application-all- find your app then disable.

In order to remove stock apps, you first need to root your phone, then install titanium backup, it gives u the option. To either freeze or delete an app. If u not sure if an app should be deleted u can freeze it first to see what effect this has. The paid version allows u to batch restore. Any updates to your firmware will replace any stock apps u deleted. U can install rom manager to backup your ROM.

How its a quastion for legit or not? If someone give his employs a phone and want to disable the camera?
Like in samsung fectory allowed to enter with cameras and phones with cameras? Right? Is it not legit?
Think before you answer....
Well, if the user who wants to uninstall an application from your phone doesn't know about root, titanium backup (there is an option to uninstall system apps there) etc then your best bet is to move it to /system/apps. If the app is there then it cannot be uninstalled through normal methods.
Bdw, you should've put your question in the Q and A section
Cheers!

to install an apk in /system/app , u should copy the apk using "root explorer" for example to that directory and set permissions to rw- r--r--(read write then read read ) but remember u have only limited space on ur /system directory about 500 mbs only
however u can use a launcher like apex , it has a feature to lock the desktop of launcher to prevent moving widgets or uninstalling apps from app drawer
u can also use an app like app locker and lock the installer app and settings app on ur phone with a secret code preventing anyone who doesnt know the code from accessing settings or unisnstall apps
