I once had that problem after a factory reset I made (Sunday actually!) and it happened because I got out of memory internal space! I was restoring Apps with my backup pro and it didn't stalled them on the sd card! So the phone collapsed! What I had to do was uninstall some Apps and afterwards move them to the sd card! And problem solved! Check how your internal memory is doing!

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Fit [S-5670] running on 2.2 Froyo
I removed a few of my system apps like the stock music player using Titanium Backup a few days ago,but I am unable to remove any system apps using TB anymore.
Whenever I try to remove a system app using TB,my phone turns OFF.
And,when I switch it ON ,a picture of android robot along with an exclamation sign is seen!!! and the phone switches OFF again.
If I turn it ON again,it starts up smoothly without any problem and the app I tried to remove will still be there...
I tried many versions of TB
I tried removing many different system apps, but ended up with the same problem
any suggestions?
Do NOT remove apps the system depend on. Install "Root App Remover", it works great.

and ya I will try the ROOT APP REMOVER soon.
btw,I just heard that samsung just released gingerbread for my phone officially,so I will try that after the update
Thanks for the reply anyway
I've been using my Nook Tablet for more than two weeks now....I didn't root mine yet and simply contented with sideloading my apps. Last week while checking my mails the suddenly encountered a Force Close (The application Email (process.com.bn.nook.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.)....and from then onwards until now I can't access my mail. Since it became a habit for me to check my emails using the NT I've decided to sideload alternative YMail apps...it was a success but evry now and then the default YMail error keeps on popping up. It was ok at first but later it became a nuisance when opening other apps like facebook and reading books...
Can anyone/somebody help me.
The NT was not rooted, with sideloaded apps like Zeam, ADW Launcher and and Launcher Pro...
What could be the cause of the error....I really like the built in YMail app but since 'm having this error maybe I will uninstall/remove it for good....please I need your advice guys!!
btw....YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!

Have you tried clearing the data and/or cache from the app management menu? You should be able to access by long-clicking in ADW and selecting Manage.
Tried deleting and clearing the cache....even reset the email account but still FC pop up on the screen even when not trying to open BN Ymail.....can somebody help. Thanks...
Should I do a Hard Reset? Restore Factory Settings?
My NT updated the other day but still having the same problem with the built-in email...I guess
I need to restore back to previous firmware and then root....B&N Forums says that the email app is
buggy...
Hi guys, some people are reporting apps going missing after a reboot. These apps are always installed in the internal memory, so not in the phone memory, and they may reappear after another reboot.
As discussed on androidforums.com and communities-origin.sonyericsson.com (I can't post any links yet - just search for "xperia s" apps disappearing internal)
My phone has this problem too. It allegedly has to do with the internal memory being initialized slightly too late during phone bootup.
Questions:
has any of you smart people found a solution or workaround to this?
is anyone else suffering from the same bug?
Do you know what?
I had the same issue..
Then i installed and used Go Launcher Ex as main launcher and i haven't had that problem again.
Now is almost a week that i'm back to the stock launcher, and the "missing app" issue is back.
So i think that is something related to the Sony launcher (and i have all apps in internal memory).
I've had the problem too and thought they had gone. It was only after holding down the volume and power button to reset that triggered it. Anyway after re-booting normaly all was well.

I'm using Launcher Pro and have these issues constantly, but the problem is not related to the launcher - the apps are gone from the entire system. Play Store treats them as not installed, TitaniumBackup cannot run or restore them.
Every time I reboot there's at least one app missing - can be as much as four. And it's quite random too - you cannot tell in advance which one(s) will be missing.
Some more info: FW .73, rooted, DoomKernel, Supercharged to 768 HP, SD Booster at 2048 KB, Launcher Pro 0.8.6.
I had the same problem and I think I have a solution - after reboot, leave the phone be for about 2-3 minutes. do not unlock, do not type PIN.
Just restart and put the phone away for few minutes. All apps that were gone are back and working. No new apps missing. I hope it works for you too!
its a bug , i think there are a few threads in here about it...
ics will fix this , we hope
Hi guys.
Sorry if this post is going to annoy some devs.
Lately I've frozen some annoying Samsung apps and services from my phone with the aid of titanium backup.
However, after freezing and a restart, I always want to confirm by going into SETTINGS > APPLICATIONS.
In there when I scroll down, I see the disabled apps but then when I open them, they still have an option for "FORCE CLOSE"
The question now is does this mean that they are still running in the background in some sort of way or something else.
I seem to be confused thinking freezing them will not only make their icons dissapear but stop them from ever running.
Thanks.

freezing will have disabled them, it's just Samsung not recognizing that, might be worth letting the titanium team know about this
Hello,
I'm currently having some problems with revolt rom, "Car mode" suddenly started poping up randomly and sometimes even crashes phone. There is no application car home or dock application in "manage apps" settings, neither i can find it with titanium backup. Is there any way to remove it or do something about it?
If there is no such thing as car mode, why does it pop up?
Also, this can be asked in the ReVolt ROM thread. Earn your way into posting there and go ask in that thread. (minimun requirment - atleast 10 posts...i think)

Hiya, having this issue with my HTC Desire S, I have found that it is a problem with the USB port, pin 4 not grounding or something. I have since learned That CyanogenMod rom does not have this application so does not cause me any problems.
Also the car dock application was called automotive something, could try and remove this with root browser.
Also an app on the play market call dock no-op which also worked when I tried it using a sense 3.6 rom https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5tZWdhZ3JhbS5kb2Nrbm9vcCJd
Hope it helps a bit
