Ebay 3500 Mah extended battery - HTC EVO 3D

Well I received my set of ebay batteries last night. I ordered 4 of then which came with 2 external chargers all for around $44. I charged all of them with the external chargers. My reference point for battery life is as follows -- BT on, mobile on with no active surfing, all other radios off (4g and GPS ). My testing for battery life is real simple. It is to see how long of a voice call I can make before the phone dies.
Here are my results
Stock -- 6 hr 20 min
1850 mah -- 4 hrs 50 min I peeled the sticker it said 1000 underneath, I am guessing its more like a 1300 than a 1000. I have 3 of these and they are the one's with the red, yellow, and white sticker.
Extended 3500 mah -- 10 hrs 20 min these are ones with the generic black and white sticker
My initial conclusion is as follows. I believe that the 1850 mah are around 1300 mah only and that the ebay extended 3500 mah are just double that meaning that it is only probably around 2500 to 2700 mah. I am happy with the extra 4 hrs of talk time that the 3500 gives me. I drive a cab and I am on the phone conferenced in with several other drivers so I do use my phone alot. I also have an OG evo which I use to tether my laptop in my vehicle.
The ROM I used was Viper's ROM.

Seidio 4000 mah battery . 75 bucks plus 20% off. Easy 16-24 hours of battery depending on what radios you use.

Wtf I get 16 hours stock battery. I just bought the 4000. I wanted to get double that.

I think the OP was referencing talk time only. 10 hours of talk time is pretty good for a cheap extended battery. Stock battery is rated at about 7.5 hours talk time.

I was responding to AyyRayy.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium App

correct -- stock claims up to 7.5 hrs talk time
my 6 hrs plus on stock was with BT on, 3G on (no surfing) on a custom rom
again 10 hrs plus of straight talk time is pretty good. think about all those crappy cell phones that you had a few yrs ago that would die after a 2 to 3 hr convo lol

Oh? Your iPhone doesn't have 3d?

Also, are there any cases anyone knows of that will fit with that new battery cover?

I'm looking at getting this extended battery. Pretty cheap.

Someone said the "black" batteries on ebay were better than the others, whatever that means.

2 weeks to get from china

So they send you 2 batteries and aa charger with that one? Or just one battery
Oh? Your iPhone can't view this 3d content?

2 batteries 2 back covers 1 charger

Thats a pretty good deal

This is directed at the OP, would you be willing to purchase the 1900 and the 3400 from Best Buy and conduct your phone call test to give us an indicator as a control as to how long the batteries work?
I understand it may be a cost thing but you have 30 days to return them? If your not comfortable with that, feel free to tell them what you plan to do with them but I bet they still sell them to you.

I have the same battery. Works very well. Extended my battery life by at least 4 hours.
Sent from 3 dimensions of AWESOME!

Does the extended case cover the speaker?
I'm about to purchase the battery from the seller you just posted but in your pictures it appears as though the speaker is covered.

Where do we buy an extra battery for the HTC TyTN? (or Dopod, O2 Hermes...)
It is really frustrating that HTC doesnt seem to market any of these...

I bought the extra battery from eXpansys. Be advised that this is a slightly different battery than the one that came with your TyTN:
Stock battery: HERM161, 1350 mA
Replacement battery: HERM160, 1300 mA
I can't honestly say if I've seen a difference between the two batteries, but you should be aware of the difference!

goestoeleven,
I ordered mine a few days ago and it will probably be the same battery. Does it work well on the TyTN and how did you get it charged?
Thanks.
I can only charge one battery at a time (the one inside the phone)...
Hence my rant on the thread about Cradles without extra battery slots...

I got my battery but it has been more than 24 hours and the red light is still on for charging. How long did it take for you? Thanks.
Initially I just charged it for a few hours. It behaved exactly the same as the original stock battery.
It's my second battery and I still cannot get it to charge -- the red light is on for days whether I try AC power or hooked into the PC via USB.
The battery cannot be bad so it must be my HTC TyTN. Any ideas what I need to look at in the battery comparment?
Thanks.

This red red light no charge business not just with TyTn batteries but several other phones and different battery types. Usually occurs with a problem with feedback from cells in battery to the charging circuit. Most oftgen there is no real fault with either battery or phone. It normally occurs if the battery is allowed to completely discharge. I am not aware of an easy fix, except I have faced the problem myself and with original battery. Also had it with another LG phone. On these occasions I got them to work eventually by several times plugging and unplugging charger lead and also taking battery out of phone for ten minutes then reinserting worked once. All a bit hap hazard but they always worked eventually and once going worked fine after that.
Good luck

3500mah battery woes....

So here's the deal. I bought two 3500mah batteries for $24 bucks off ebays "buy it now". They're cheap chinese 1billion made type batteries but last 36 hours. 17 avg off my 1930mah stock so worth the $25 in my eyes.
Here's my issue. I've installed cm7 beta with new battery in at %100. I've wiped stats at %100. Let it die and recharge without interruption. Wiped battery stats numerous times. Cmw and the calibration application. My issue persists. I will have the same "stats" as my stock battery but with a huge "reserve". By reserve I mean I will be at %1 for 7 hours or more. I can't be the only one.

I'm having similar issue with a "2000mah" battery off ebay. Lasts aboue twice as much at 1% vs. 100% to 2%. I've noticed that battery is around 3900-3800mV when it first reaches 1%. and phones shuts off around 3400mV...
I'm gonna pop in the original bat and see...

interesting, will try that.
the odd thing is that the original battery goes dead at 3400mV also...
I wonder how these things work. Does the phone "remember" different batteries, or is it just the same "calibration file" for any battery plugged in? if that's the case, then we cannot use "spare" batteries then?

All modern lith ion batteries max out around 4200mv (anymore and they risk exploding) and are considered "empty" at 3400-3300 depending on the manufacture, if they decharge anymore they won't charge again. I'm guessing there's a calibration chip in the battery that's messed up on the Ebay batteries or something of that sort. If you were to but an OEM battery the battery life gauge works just fine.
Think of it like this mV is how full you're gas tank is in you're car 4200 full 3400 empty. Now every car can be 100% full but every car doesn't have the same size tank or Mah in this case. So basically you switched the gas tank on your car with a bigger one but didn't change how it reads how full your tank is so basically you need to guess by your mV.

I don't own this extended battery but I will have to guess with yes, same size.
My guess is based on the data sheet stating that a battery door is not required. I looked up other phone models and noticed that battery doors are provided for extended batteries that are too fat to fit underneath the phone's standard case.
Whatever happened to this thread... did the battery work or not?
Well if you wait a little longer WPCENTRAL.com was gonna make a review with a lot of testing on this battery for the HTC TITAN. Just keep checking the website of wpcentral.
Thanks, I will watch the site

Just to let you guys know I got my mugen battery turned up yesterday.
It had the 12h charge like it said and im discharging it right now. If you line it up to the oem battery it is a little thicker but fits in just fine, it does make the phone a little heavier but comfortable to hold still.
after a few days will let you know how I get on, sofar things are looking good

QCell AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 / SII SGH-i777 3600mAh Extended Battery

Hello guys,
I purchased one of these and so far so good. I'm running an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II- with "ICScrewD Red Edition UCKH7" Rom
The battery is able to charge while the device is operational without boot loops.
After the first charge I ran cpu/memory/gpu stress tests serveral times during the day, kept BT, WI-FI and GPS on while on the road, streamed music, watch videos, set display to max and time out to 2 minutes to expedite discharge basically above normal use.. The baterry lasted 20 hours under those conditions.
After a second full charge the cellphone have been running on battery for 28 hours with almost 4 hours of display time and is showing 56% battery charge left.
The back cover fits perfectly. The only thing I would like to find is a travel charger for it. I bought a GTMAX charger but the battery does not fit in it. I can only charge regular size batteries on the travel charger.
Hope this helps others looking for an extended battery.

3600mah?! that's intense. Would you mind posting up a few picks to compare the thickness of the phone with that on vs Stock? Thanks
No problem. Will do once at home a little later.
Don't know if I want to trust another battery from Qcell as far as what capacity they rate it.
Bought a supposed 1950 mah battery through them and it turns out that it's really only 1650 mah. While the battery performance is on par with stock which is fine, if you buy it under the pretense that it'll get you better battery life, stay away.

Are you going to get some sort of bumper or case to go along with that? I'm interested to see if the battery door/cover from other 3000+mAh batteries would work with this one - like the one from the GT Max.
I'm going to use the SGP Neo Ex with the battery. I tried the tpu case for extended battery packs but it didn't fit. The back cover of the gtmax didn't fit my phone correctly.

I used them with my hd2. They did not have anywhere near the claimed capacity, but were better than stock. They weren't available when I bought spare batteries, so I'm using Anker. With ICS I don't use the spare batteries much anyway.

I've read numerous reports about the Anker displaying inaccurate % after a full charge and such. Guess I'll give it a shot myself and order one. Anything better than the stock battery is preferred.
Sent from my HTC Ruby
Inaccurate % was due the different voltage in batteries. All of ankers batteries out there for our phone are 3.7V and we use a 3.8V. There used to be a very extensive report on anker and another company somewhere in our forums but I can't find it.
Just to be clear there's nothing wrong with using a undervolted battery as long as you aren't undervolting trough setCPU or any other similar program. It will have a negative effect on batter life and phone preformance.

I've always wondered if the Amaze phone hardware charges to 3.8, and may have problems with overcharging the Anker. I have always charged my Ankers via external charger.

O.K. so I shouldn't be charging it in the phone at all? or just not to 100%? because it seems whenever I do charge it to 100% as soon as I take it off it drops to 96% almost instantly... but I usually get 12-14hrs of med-heavy usage... and usually at least 6hrs of extreme usage... so I think it does have capacity... wish I had done a little more research before buying though, would have bought a 3.8V battery...

No, I have actually been charging it in my phone these days. It started when I forgot I had swapped out my OEM battery, and it was fine in the morning. So you can use the phone to charge.
I don't know if there are any 3.8v batteries of this size, except OEM.
EDIT: Mine drops % pretty rapidly after disconnecting the power as well.

Thanks for the feedback, it must just be the voltage difference that throws off the system... I appreciate your prompt input!
