I was playing with the LCD Density for root app to get Netflix to look better on my G Tab and now the market is broke, the market looks very big and not positioned correctly then force closes. I tried putting the density back to 161 but it still force closes on the market. I tried uninstalling the LCD Density app but that did not help, I also tried the market fix steps clear cache, force close, etc but still no luck. Do I need to reinstall the market? I am running CM 7.0.3.
It was actually the new market update the caused the issue, I fixed it by going to settings and changing the language to English (United States). Been playing with my new Asus Transformer for the last two weeks and only just noticed the market issue on the G Tag.

The title kinda states the apps that i get trouble with, none of these seem to work with the streak, its no like the screen is not big enough, anyone know of an app that does the same that does work on the streak
what is your lcd density set to? I run soundhound regularly and I have used 160 and 240 for density without problems.
I second that Soundhound works for me too.
could be my bad in that case it is set to 140 i will reset it to 240 cause i have spotted my dialer only works in portrait, but atleast there is confirms of it working, guess google market access via pc knows what setup your phone is set too also, unless if you try to add from the online markt place on a pc click to install and see if you can select the streak.
Both work fine at 160 dpi.
Fyi, Soundhound is $0.10 this week in the Android Marketplace
...as is Minecraft!
Hi, I have been trying to download some apps for my galaxy note but in the market place the app does not even show up. I know these apps are compatiable because i have seen them on other notes, and online. Such as omni sketch. When I search the play store it does not show up anywhere, and when i googled omnisketch android store and clicked the link it brought me to the play store page but i could not download it. The same goes for samsung apps application, and zen brush.
My atnt note is rooted and has the saurom rom on it , but i did not overclock or anything. Also i read up on the q and a for the saurom rom and did not find my answer. But i did not apply the atnt fix because I am not using atnt i am using t-mobile hspa+
Any help guys? Also my language says english us but when i click it it changes to english canada so i restored it from a nandroid backup i did when i first flashed the rom and it now says english us and i have not clicked it again so far but i think it is actually english canda? Anyway i can fix this too
Thanks!
I'm having this same problem on my AT&T note flashed with Saurom 7.1...
A bunch of apps that are even ADVERTISED as optimized for galaxy note say
"This app is incompatible with your AT&T Samsung SAMSUNG-SGH-I717." on google play...but if I find the apk for it on my own and install it it works...
why is this happening? can't install:
Jotter
OmniSketch
Zen Brush
Colors! for Galaxy Note
OnLive (even lists galaxy note in description though)
Air Penguin
...the list goes on and on. Why is google play telling me my device is not compatible with these apps even though it is?
Yeah exact problem i was having. Except i didnt manually try installing the apks since some of them were paid apps. Idk why it doesnt make any sense, and i havent found a solution either.

I JUST fixed it! Woooo! I'm not sure exactly what did it but these are the steps I took:
Went to application settings and cleared the data for google play store.
Rebooted phone. (which also reset my DPI from 240 to default)
Started play store...it said it was upgrading from android market bla bla.
Still didn't work.
Uninstalled touchscreen tune.
Messed around with Chainfire pro (made sure no plug in was in use)
all of a sudden my apps are back...it alerted me of the Dolphin HD update (which was incompatible before) and i'm downloading Jotter and Air Penguin as I type this!
I had the same problem. I solved it by using the PAID version of LCD Density Modder. The free version was not enough.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.birdapi.android.dpipro&hl=en
As soon as I updated to the paid version, I got notified of about 30 apps that needed to be updated. Previously those apps were not compatible and were installed through Titanium Backup.
So the dpi/lcd density is the problem?? Thats weird cus i havent changed my dpi or anything its still at stock.
Hmm I'm not sure what to do. I have the same issue, but I haven't messed with the dpi or anything, and I don't have either of the two apps you listed there. I'm on the stock ICS rom, is there anothet way to fix my issue?

LCD density modder (free version) is what I was using to change DPI too. I guess restarting and having the DPI reset is what fixed it or in other words, changing DPI is what caused the problem. It's weird though cause it didn't work till like 10 minutes after the phone was rebooted even though it was at default DPI immediately after the reboot.
For you guys who are still having problems and haven't messed with DPI....do you have chainfire? Try uninstalling or setting everything to default. Or try clearing the Google Play Store application data
I have super user chain fire and i havent messed with anything there either. Ive tried clearing the play store app data and nothing..
Still no luck. This is really annoying me. Why is it not working. Do you guys think going back to stock would help?

THANKS!! I did this on my lenovo tablet and it worked perfectly and fixed everything. It even brought back the movie tab which went missing after market upgraded to google play. I too had about 30 updates to do after it fixed everything. Thanks a mill!! =)
Just checking if this was somehow fixed or is still an issue. I am running 132 dpi coming from 120 with cm9 alpha....dont notice much of a difference but I hear is is the native resolution.
Ffor the market to work correctly you have to be at 160. The alternative is purchasing LCD Density Modder Pro and within the app it lets you download a hacked market apk and a hacked Google Services Framework apk to be able to see market items again

Well it actually "works" just fine but according to the market you will loose compatibility with a lot of apps but I'm not about to try to make a list of them

And if you did I wouldn't read it so we both lucked out.
Just disable the market updater in a usable dpi. Then change to the dpi you want.
it's hit and miss for me. sometimes many apps doesn't show up as compatible to the device (including some installed apps if the compatibility issue occurs somewhere after your ROM installation).
I've try tinkering around with market (uninstall update, clear data+cache, force stop) and most of the time one of these would do the trick and everything words fine with whatever DPI (132 or 120).
Hi All,
I have a question, which I am sure has been raised many many times, but through the use of a quick search - was unable to find anything specifically relevant, and the fact that I am at work, I dont have much time to sit there and brouse websites and threads all day.
Anywho, with the change over from Market (play store) 3.5.19 to Market (play store) 3.7.13 - the issue of DPI change has made the market make multiple apps disappear, and say "not avaliable on your device" or something along those lines if you manually go to the apps page.
The way to fix this is to obviously change the DPI back to 240 from (200 or 186 or custom etc) then reboot and the apps will reappear....
But my question is, is there a way to fool the market into believing you have 240dpi the whole time, so i dont have to keep restarting my phone everytime i want to use a custom DPI - the previous market version 3.5.19 worked fine, but the newer one does not. And although it is fairly simple to change the DPI back to 240 then reboot and apply all upgrades to apps, then back again, I assume everyone would prefer a more permanent fixed solution...
Maybe there is already one out there, i am unsure, if anyone could point me to the right direction, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
I believe there is a multi-dpi market apk floating around. Can't point you to the though sorry, on phone.
try the dpi 188 or 160~
and try to clear the data of GoogleServicesFramework and Market before you reboot~
220 worked fine for me
ok seems as tho i keep getting errors when i try to delete data from google framework and play store. im going to have to hunt down the multi-dpi market place...

no problem mate
Hi i always used LCD Density Modder Pro for the Play Store Fix for my SGS3, but now i noticed, that it's a very outdated version of the Store and i even can't buy anything, because it always says: Packagefile is invalid.
Is there any alternative modded Playstore around for a Density of 320?
nobody..?
I just noticed this myself with the new release of Google Play.
Scott
Weird... as far as I know, the market just updates after installing the modded version... at least it does on my tablet... maybe search the internet a bit...
