Remove Samsung Apps and Replace Contacts System Icon! - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all I have a couple of things I need help with. First all, I am manually deleting Samsung Bloatware using Root Explorer, and have successfully removed all of the Hubs and other bloatware; however I cannot seem to delete the "Samsungs App" app, even though I deleted the apk file. Is there anyway to delete this app completely? Another question that I have regards changing the system contact icon to one that matches the other icons in the dock. I would like to replace my current "Contacts" icon with this one

Thanks.

On your theme that u downloaded, extract it on your computer and use adb push to send it to your phone to /system/app and then reboot. If you don't have adb then use root explorer or a similar file manager to put the Mms.apk file into system/app. I have done this my self several times when first attempting my mms theme.

1 question, what the hell is the removed apps? where you get that? what you install? i think it just show TOTAL of data used by your removed apps. the data not increasing right?
What it looks like it is trying to do is show data usage for APPS that no longer on your phone.
since it cant list apps that you have removed it groups the data usage together into one item (Removed apps)
so i would think that its the data that the apps you have UNISTALLED used while on your phone.
Owh.. ok... thanks.. maybe it includes my previous apps that i has uninstalled.. •﹏•

I too have been wondering this for awhile now. I believe it has something to do with downloading emoji in keyboard languages and it overwrites the iPhone like emoji with the android rendition. I do not know a fix though. I know you can use other messaging apps like handcent and gosms but i prefer the stock messaging app over third party alternatives. Looking forward to the answer.

Removing redundant carrier label on lockscreen?

Hello, I wonder if I can remove the carrier label next to the unlock icon(the bottommost one) on my MotoE2. I've tried with Xposed modules and searching here on XDA to no avail, can someone help me?

You will have to decompile the system apks to remove it.
I found a simpler solution, I installed the "Moto Checkbox" Closed module and it let me remove them; thanks anyways!

Ah glad you got it worked out. I personally don't use xposed due to rom and security issues
