Hi guys,
I wanna know if somebody is using the transcend 32gb class 4 micros card.
And the performance of the same.
Cuz I am planning to buy one.
I wanna know if it is able to record and play 1080p videos without any lag.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I'm using the card for 1 month now - I did some recordings in 1080p and watched them without any problems.
The transfer rate (from windows) is around 5.
Had no problems so far

I am using Sandisk 16 GB class 4 and able to play 1080p video without any lag. My write speed is 5 MBps (40 Mbps) and read speed is 20 MBps (160 Mbps) using SDTools. This is sequential read and write speed with 32 kB block size. From several 1080p I have, the bit rate is around 10 Mbps. So the write speed is almost 4 time the bit rate. Because of that I believe you can play and record 1080p movie without any problem with class 4 card. In case you might need it toms hardware has benchmarked several microsd card.

Is there any way of knowing if a MicroSD SDHC card is class 2, 4, 6 If it's not printed on the card itself? Just trying to make sure I don't get screwed by some shops.
This is an example of a class 2 device:

You can clearly see the number 2 partially encircled in both that picture and on the bottom of San Disk's website here: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1441
And remember kids, Google is your friend!

As Lancealot already told, there is ISO specification made by the SD Card Association:
SDHC Cards have to look like this:
As you can See there must be a SD(HC) Logo and the Speed Class Logo (sometimes "Class2" - or just "2")
If you buy one look that this card as those information...
SDHC Cards shouldn't look like this:
Incorrect Logo
OR
No Logo

Why do you want an Class 6 SDHC Card? For shure not for your PPC, at least I never saw a PPC witch can use the Speed of an Class 6 Card. I got an 8 GB Class 4 microSDHC and the PPC can't use the speed, the Cardinterface is too slow. With an cardreader I can copy 4GB of data (1:1 ratio of small an big files) in about 3-4 min.

I also got now a 8 GB microSDHC Class 4, and I am really impressed about the HC-SpeedClass of 4... But I also got a Adapter with this package, and when I want to copy large files e.g. wikipedia, tomtom maps, brockhaus etc. I use the adapter to gain the full speed.

keep me up to date what a speed class uses the hermes...

8GB Class 4
Thanks. I got myself a 8GB class 4 and it works great on my WM6.0.
Hi
I have searched but been unable to find a definitive answer. I apologise though if it is in the forum and I did not see it. Has anyone managed to get an 8GB class 4 micro sd SDHC card, e.g. Sandisk, working with an MDA Vario II running WM5 with the SDHC upgrade installed?
TIA
Been getting mixed reviews and different pricings but I just can't seem to find a good card. Do you guys have any suggestions? Been caught up between the lexar, adata, and pny. I also heard that class 4 are sometimes faster. I just want a good card with the most memory (cause some cards come with like 28gb instead of the full 32gb), good read/write speed, lifetime warranty, at a ok price point. Can you guys help?

Sandisk is the best card you can get. All manufacturer or 90% use them due to proven reliability and minimal failure rate. I have a topram 16g class 10 and it works very well...but wish I would have bought the sandisk

for price and reliability, I agree, patriot is a good card. for about 75-80 dollars I think its worth it. until sandisk makes one I wouldn't pay the higher prices for any of the other ones. but I could only imagine if sandisk did make one it would probably be $150!

the problem is sandisk doesn't make a class 10, I think the highest they make is a class 6. but I hear their class 6 is just as good as others class 10 cards.

I have Patriot 32GB Class 10 for my phone, it's been flawless. I only buy SanDisk and Patriot. They are the most reliable. I've been buying flash memory since DSLR camera's came out. Not one failure in a decade. I have ~50 flash cards of various styles, speeds and capacities for my cameras. They are almost all SanDisk with several Patriot.
bought this at local dealer for $75 (yes $75, VERY EXPENSIVE!)
this is a Team Memory microSDHC Card, 32GB of Storage(29,8 formatted) and supposed to be class 10 . (10MB/s write speed)
but, i found it is different

Class 10 means that the writing speed must be a least 10 MB/s, so nothing surprising if it's higher.

Thanks. I can't believe there are people giving that app a low score because they don't know its purpose.
Thanks, its good to know what cards are backing their claims,
Yours seems comparable to the "TOPRAM" 32gb class 10 I have been using, they run around $60 on amazon & ebay, and I got just about the same scores using it, and its been very reliable.

well, here in my country, it is quite a rarity to find a eBay/Amazon seller who ships directly to Indonesia. the $15 price is quite worth the shipping cost, LOL

I ordered a 32GB G. Skill micro SDHC the other day for $25.99. They have a $4 off promo code that expires June 6. I chose the free shipping option so I expect it to show up Wednesday or Thursday.

Came with Micro USB reader. Card works great, top rated seller says it isn't a knock off but who really knows for sure but the card is pretty zippy.
You can get a Team 32GB class10 card for $23.99 for the next two days on NewEgg. You need to use the code EMCNDNE93 at checkout.

Sorry, can't post links yet.
I have had some trouble with faked names on substandard SD cards.
This one from Amazon DIRECT..(not third party merchant) works great. The transfer speed to/from EvoLTE is faster than the nifty little dongle they give you.

I only know the card reader on z1/z1c got limited to 40MB/s both read and write, not sure about Z2. 14.29MB/s write is already a very good speed on class10.
Your card does 14.29MB write then 14.29MByte/s x 8 = 114.32MBit/s of 4k recording allowable but 14.29MB/s should be an average speed report, not stable, it may got higher and lower sometimes.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/development/4k-ultra-hd-increase-bitrate-to-80-mbps-t2845265/post54771543
If you rooted, you can try the 80MBit and 160Mbit 4k mod. Sony 4k default is 55Mbit and TimeShift default is 50Mbit.
Thanks for help and great explanation, from what i understand i can record to my sd, i am a bit noob to this...
one more question what do i get by increasing bitrate? A better image quality?

yes, more bits more quality
more bitrate means more quality but more load on your sdcard
you will need a class 10 Or more sdcard
try looking at wikipiedia and the SDcard classes

I was always wondering why the does the storage size is not exact same for same sd cards.... I tryed to google it but i cant find the answer
