When you load pc companion or SEUS you will see a button to check for updates, it will then tell you the software is up to date but would you like to reinstall it anyway. If you click 'yes' it will then begin downloading the latest 'official' SE 2.1 ROM and install it (wiping your phone in the process).

Yes obsidian eclipse is right, that will get you back to stock if u use seus
Sent from my X10i using XDA App

@obsidian_eclipse
Well last time I tried that, it hadnt asked me to reinstall it... Im interested, how long ago was this method out?
@adidtnt;
Anyway, if you get in trouble with it, you can always manually flash an old official rom to it and then update it through SEUS.

thanks the SEUS worked but did it delete the recovery or not ?

wher i get it (SEUS) and how does this work.I have such a problem :´
I rooted my x10 mini android 2.1 to 2.3 CyanogenMod 7.0 with this version my SD card didnt work. Then tried CyanogenMod 7.9, after restart theres only Sony Ericsson logo on the screen, then I disconnectied battery and phone went to clockworkmode. From there I cant do anything. I have tried to restore( no files ) and then reinstall android but installation was aborted. when I reboot my phone then logo stays.
NEXT DAY: something happened, riht now only Sony Ericsson logo on the screen. clockworkmode does not work anymore!
I hope somebody can help me out. Its my first Android and im new at this.

Update ur phone using pc companion. Or Sony Ericsson update service ....

dont do it, use mini-04, which is stock rom + root and without all the se garbage.
Everything works perfectly and its fast and smooth.
Disable auto-brightness and you got a perfect little droid.

@ schmolch
thx i works just fine
normally i just use pc companian , then superoneclick to root, and titaninium back up to remove the se crap
but this is a lot faster

Very odd thing. I installed EWJet Rom few weeks ago. Wanted to try wolfbreaks so I used SEUS. I now have official gb dont know how because I was told by operator it was not being released to us. Any one explain this I dont get how it but gb on it

(in order to understand the differencies in mini we cannot even touch the kernel not upgrade/downgrade.... )

If an official rom needs to update a kernel version. The SEUS shall update it accordingly.
And if any custom rom needs specific kernel or baseband then the DEV shall provide it.
So nothin to worry about

You can always reflash ur phone with seus. Origin roms works everytime (if not, try to reflash it again)

And i've been thinking. If I re-flash my phone using seus, is it my waranty still valid? Or its void after I install custom rom?

(THINKTANK/DEV) X10 Gingerbread System Dump

Hey all, Infinitybiff here. I make awesome winzip romz. In all seriousness, I'm a bit of a developer. I'm hoping one of you fellas (or ladies) has managed to update their unbranded xperia to the 2.3 update that was released today. I'd like to get the file that the SE updater downloaded to your system or a system dump of the rom if at all possible. My intent is to make a custom rom flashable to all x10 (with root and busybox of course). I'm sure someone is already working on it, but figured i'd get the ball rolling.
If you want to update your unbranded x10 to 2.3 and help out the community, you can download the SE updater from HERE

Do you have a X10 if so can you try and update and the upload all the files for us. as you live in the future.
When it is released im sure your support and work will be more than welcome.
welp. looks like all the sites that said its out are a bit off base. I stand corrected. *waits patiently*
You just cant simply supdate X10 to gingerbread by xRecovery. Our recovery cant touch the kernel and baseband.
We must update th kernel and baseband first, then by recovery.

Taylor Swift.
About 2 years ago,West interrupted her on the stay of CMT,later president Obama,in a non-official talk,called West a 'jerk'
I am now concering wheather Xrecovery will work after flashing new kernel.
I konw we have to update the kernel and baseband using flashtool first, then boot into xRec to flash the rom.It will be bad if we cant boot into xRec after flashing.jew kernel.Or we flash the rom first, then flash the kernel?

Delete RomManager now

Rom Manager. Instant brick very easy. One little wrong choice and youre toast. Hardbrick=change of cpuboard. Or jig work.
I speak from xperience .
Seen too many post with noobs playing with this app. Its not for SE phones. So dont use it. Way too easy to brick.
Use xrecovery to make nandbackups. Doomkernel <-
EDIT:this is ofcourse ROM MANAGER APP. nothing else. sorry for confusion.
And where to find xrecovery for 2011 xperias ?
Don't tell me to search in the forum there's no post about it, expect one with compatibility problem with the ray.
if you know what you're doing it is impossible to destroy the phone, by the way cell phones service need to earn a little money

Try them and see if its stable for you.
I would advise anyone to unlock their bootloader, is as easy as rooting now...just have to make sure you can read instructions to be safe
most stable rom=stock 2.3.3
Check the stickies and try em.

No, i dont "think" (could be wrong) that you can flash offical SE firmware without pc..
Why not flash wolfs 7.0?
Using it for almost a month & didnt found any bugs

I'd say stock 2.3.3,but it lags as hell..
i have tried few roms here, they mostly excel in perfomance but lack in one or more other thing,
So, i suggest stock 2.3.3,uncapped fps and Bravia engine unlock by zdzihu and Stock SE Theme w/ notification widgets&reboot mod plus roboto fonts....looks good and it's gonna fly
Stock 2.3.3 ROM and Wolf Break's Stock based 2.3.3 ROM (WB7b6) were the most stables ones I found so far!
Agree with gregbradley, the best way to find out the stable ROM for you is by trying them out!
stable, you say?
others would say many things, but my opinion - FreeX10 (its kinda old but damn stable)!

I had the same problem when I first tried to do mine, just wouldn't get past boot.
I then followed Brenty's guide found here and it worked first time (running DonutHD).
As Joseph said, you can always flash back to Stock using SUS.
