Maybe I am wrong...they look like icons created by 磚窯書記 at X-beta ^^

Here comes my own problem with changing icons on Cube...^^
Not only assigned icons with DustomMediaHub, I killed the default icons by replacing different graphics made by myself with the same names to see how far it could go....
The problem is no matter how hard I try, the default icons stick on the cube during its animation. Hopefully someone can crack the mystery one day^^
pic 1, pic 2 are cube with repleced icons, unpressed and pressed respectively; pic 3 is the animation of cube without the repleced icon...

That is totally normal. The animation of the spinningaround is prefabbed. Just a little movie that is already there and isn't based on the actual screens. That's much easier to achieve without to much memory-demand. Keep in mind that it was not ment to change icons.

hi, thank you very much for the illustration. but it still confuses me because I have checked all *.pngs in windows folder and replaced all susceptible files, four envelopes in total, with my own files. the worse was there was no suspected "flat png" for cube animation in the whole system...>_<
BTW, Mr. Gullum's t9 phone pad is fantastic! @[email protected] fail to post it via ppc…

Sorry, I didn't dive into it, so I don't know where the animation is located. But another detail to this matter, have you noticed that the contactpictures change to the Gray Head illustration just before spinning?
the animations are .brn files A0.brn A1.brn A2.brn A3.brn A4.brn A5.brn
and B0.brn 1-2-3-4-5 C0.brn 1-2-3-4-5
those are the once that do the animation I had a program one but can't find it now called brntobmp.exe that could convert these files into bmp images

Thanks, Gullum! I might assign diff tasks to the cube only if it's appearance looks '"normal", thanks a lot! (searching for the file to open *[email protected][email protected])

hello, if you found the program , please post it here i'm interested too
Okay , I think we can improve the way we use the touch Flo dramatically !!
I changed the name of those brn files and i was able to change the rotation of cubes. For example i renamed A0.brn to A5.brn and A5.brn to A0.brn and the cube rotates from left to right when it was suppose to rotate from right to left ! Anyways , what i'm trying to do is to change the order of animations so when we activate the touch flo, instead of activation animation ( images coming from bottom ) we see the deactivation animation ( images coming from top to bottom) ... I hope you understand what I'm saying.
The problem is i can't find those animation file responsible for activation and deactivation of cubes .. Please somebody help
What I'm trying to do is to slide into the cubes and out of them , just inverse of Touch.. so when we slide our finger from top to bottom , the cubes will appear from top to bottom.

Smart Thinking!
Additional information:
Files A0-C5 are for the rotation (direction)
Files MH01-MH03HL are for Mediahubmini (pressed and unpressed)
Files MH_2_01-MH_2_03HL are for Applauncher (pressed and unpressed)
Files QD_Bkgd and QD_2_Bkgd are for Quickdial (the lower part)
Files MH_Bkgd.brn and MH_2_Bkgd.brn remians unknown (but the pair affects Mediahubmini by adding black lines between the taps)
I wonder whether the appearance and disappearance are brn files, for all files above seem to be all brns in windows folder. And if there are indeed some more brns responsible for the appearance/disappearance, the quantity of the missing files must be 6 or 12 according to the patterns of the animation (hard to believe so, though. ^_^)

Nice information! I think the appearance animation is part of the MediaHubmini.exe ..

Hi, brother, maybe you are right, but the observation tells me another story^^
The animations do change accordingly whatever page is been viewed--which means Applauncher.exe, MediaHubnini.exe and Quickdial.exe are plausibly all responsible for the animations^^
themes for cube
are there any themes for cube?
Splash animation???
Hi sorry i have not tested any touch/nontouch rom till date but my question is :
Does any of these floating roms have splash screen animation runnig???
sorry if its offtopic
Seek and found?
Any good news about the brntobmp.exe here?
I think it would be great to modify the cube animations.
I have not been able to get one single theme / homescreen to load properly on my 3125. Still WM5 of course.
It is as if it pushes the image too far to the top so I have a black bar under all my backgrounds above the start menu.
I have a before and after image here.
The "hottie.jpg" is what it is supposed to look like
The "Lauren_Pope.jpg" is a picture of my phone with the homescreen installed.
Every homescreen I have tried does this. Notice the how the image looks pushed to the top of smashed and there is a black bar above the start menu.
Works fine on my phone. Just check if color scheme and background image in home screen menu are set to default.
(Im using the latest Cingular ROM.)
I think the reason I was having this problem was I was changing the background image. I found that if I leave it as "default" the theme works fine.
Thanks pimps
My favorite all time homescreen
This is my favorite homescreen I used this for several years back in the MPX200 days!!! I would like to share it with you guys.. There is one problem and I hope someone can fix it. The image / homescreen is 176x220 so it doesn't "FIT" the 240x320 newer smartphone size.
Hope you guys like it if you fix it please repost it here.!!!

This exact problem also exists on the Dash WM5 and is corrected on the WM6 release for the Dash. It seems to be a bug in the Settings/HomeScreen program that miscalculates the size of the image (making it too small) when choosing a background image other than Default.
just a quick questions...
why doesn't android support custom cool transitions like the iphone? for example in the iphone/ipad/i<whatever> when you rotate the screen from portrait to landscape it has a very cool shift transition. on our android devices it just "is lame".
i know theres a thread about doing this but is it simple to apply?
thanks!
[edit: update] i found this thread which lead me to the main thread. i used metamorph to install the transitions.zip file and all worked great. its real nice to have some animations. however not everthing is animated .. the main "screen from portrait to landscape" isnt. phone book isnt.
...What are you talking about?
What do transitions have to do with anything? If you're so desperate to be like everyone else, download Spare Parts and enable "Fancy Rotation Animation".
Apple probably patented it.

that doesnt work. it says (1.5 ONLY) when checked.
To be fair.. the animations in ios are very nice and add to the "slick" feeling that you get when you use it (my Daughter's got an Ipod touch).. It creates a very polished end user experience when you get things like that... some of the animations in LPP are quite cool.. but it doesn't really go far enough.
It's not the animations on their own.. it's the overall user experience which it creates.
do you mean like this?

if yes....have a look at this thread

i already did all that. still though not all functions are animated. while the ones that are look real good some are still missing. and theres no rotate screen animation.
Dose any one know what is the related xml file when you close any application or window at full screen.
Ex: when you are at Settings/sound & display and you press back key to go to settings page again
So far I only see 480x800 as the highest resolution. Has anyone tried this on the nook? Do the boot animations work like the bios one?
I'm not positive but I believe that to fit the screen completely the boot animation has to be made for the specific screen size. I havent been on uot for awhile but if you say 480x800 is the biggest than they probably wont fit.
but I might be wrong and it never hurts to try, at least with boot animations it doesnt.

funken's right - if the boot animation ends up flaking out or being the wrong image sizes and the like -- it just skips it. You can always just grab the /media/bootanimation.zip file and see what the file dimensions are in a current CM7 build.
Everything else I've cooked up out of UOT worked fine. I just feed it one of the themes APKs from CM7 (or an APK that I like from the Market for ThemeChooser/CM7) and then modify the parts I want. Currently chugging along on a very well done Sense APK that I tweaked a bit of stuff to my liking (battery, noti-bar icons) through UOT.
I want to change the bootanimatiob on my tab. The files related to this are in .qmg format, well, I did not find any editor for the same. The article at androidzoom is a good tutorial but none of it works because of this new extention. Please help me related to same. Also, make your way beginner safe, I am new here.
Thanks in advance, my images are ready, now, I just need to flash them.
u can try this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1299644
Looks good, I hope this works!
or get a boot animation changer from market. I have tried a few, some are better than others, one I tried detected screen Res and stretched the anim to fit, but even then some anims look okay and some looked a bit funny, but I had no issues with actually changing the anims with the apps I tried.
