So this is my first review, feel free to ask questions or request pictures
I received the case in a bubblewrap shipping envelope that the mail man put in my MAILBOX. This is just a leather case so luckily it wasn't bent or anything

First Impressions/Thoughts :
Leather feels nice, it doesn't weigh much, very well built, very simple, why am I not putting my tf in this case already?! Hahaha
Weight(7 oz) :

Front without tf (you can see the flap that slides under the tf to secure it with Velcro, works very well):
View attachment 685756
Back without tf(camera hole and the flap thing to hold the back when in the angle):

In Use/With tf:
The tablet fits nice and snug. Feels very solid when the tablet is in it. The bezel or lip thing around it is stiff but not uncomfortable or anything bad, I look at it as something to give in case of a small drop. The front cover is not completely solid (its stiff but bends, prolly a light plastic) and does not have a magnetic lock. The micro fiber picks up dust and dog hair but can be easily wiped clean. There is holes in case for everything except the dock latch holes.
Front closed with tf in:

Inside with tf:

The stand:
When the stand is in the lower angle the tablet is upside-down and when in vertical everything is normal. The low angle as a tiny give when pressing hard , but it is great in my opinion. The vertical angle is unstable because of the fold at the bottom. It is sturdy but when pressing to hard it starts to tilt back(I don't mind this cuz I will prolly only use this angle for video chat and movie watching).
Low angle:

Vertical:

PROS/CONS:
Pros:
-simple
-lightweight
-slim
-great quality
-good price
Cons:
-how it is shipped, it could easily get bent
-i guess the instability of the vertical angle, but I can easily deal with it
Overall :
I am very pleased with this case. I would recommend this to anyone. And yea idk what else to write haha ask questions if u wanna know more
More pics will be added in second post ( and sorry for the terrible quality.. that's a droid 2 for ya haha )
///idk why my pics didn't show up first time but im gonna upload them in a third post sorry for the inconvenience ////

Finally got mine from USPS. You are right, leather feels very nice, it doesn't weigh much, very well built, very simple, 110% better then the Asus ultra slim case and now I can access my MicroSD card without taking my Asus EEE Pad out from the case. Very Happy! Thanks Again for the review!

Asus one, dust all over the case (dust magnet), Microsd card slot is block, no velcro in the case to hold the inside flip cause the eee pad slide out and the price, I pay $48 at Office Depot, but I am returning it.

Umm from the side or what angle? And just something I noticed with mine, I have a dark line on my screen where the front has the crease. I am like 50% sure its Just in my ****ty zagg screen protector, it stays there when my screen is off so I don't think it's in my screen. Also I think the reason I have said line is because I keep it in my backpack.
Sent from my DROID2 using Tapatalk
Side profile as well as the tab to secure the cover in the closed possition is what I was looking for. How do you figure you gouy the black mark permanently on the screen? I was just going to be getting a cheap screen protector since I don't like the look of the zagg.

Hi All,
I received both the CaseCrown Bold Standby Case & CaseCrown NetBook Case this week as was pretty impressed by both so I figured it was worth it's own thread. I'm also posting a bunch of pictures here in the OP so people can see what they look like in use.
CaseCrown Bold Standby Case
Amazon Link
The Bold is pretty much everything you would expect. The case is relatively rigid and the Transformer fits in it perfectly. Very clean, tight and professional. The tablet definitely feels protected. Although, obviously, like any case of this type you don't want to drop it as there is no real shock absorption.
The tablet slides in the bottom and then you tuck the flap in. The flap has a velcro connection on the inside so that it will not slip. There is no way this tablet would come out of the case accidentally except for intentional abuse.
The magnetic closure is good. You could argue that it "could" be a stronger magnet except I think it is perfectly fine. It will not come open accidentally under normal use.
The material is good although I'm not sure whether it is real leather or not. Doesn't really matter because I think it looks fine either way. Material looks professional. The only annoyance is that the shipper shipped my unit in just a bubble mailer so there are a couple "dents" on the front (see last pic). Hopefully these will go back to normal after some time.
The case basically has 4 orientations total: closed, book (cover folded flat back), vertical landscape and horizontal landscape (keyboard position). This isn't quite the level of "adjustability" you get with the multi-angle cases but I thought that was fine. Even when I was holding my tablet by itself, these were the main angles I used anyway. The main gap in the design is a lack of a 45 degree angle but I didn't need it and knew that when I purchased this. I also love that you can fold the cover flat back like a book for reading.
There are holes for all ports including the front and back camera as well as the light sensor and microSD. No issues here. The back camera hole doesn't appear to block the camera lens like some other cases I've seen. I actually would have preferred if the microSD was covered so that I couldn't accidentally eject it but I know most people prefer this to be open.
Overall, an excellent case. I highly recommend it.

CaseCrown NetBook Case
Amazon Link
The NetBook Case is currently only $7 shipped and fulfilled by Amazon. Fortunately I still have my Prime membership so buying this was pretty much a no brainer. This case works EXCELLENTLY as your only case. It fits the tablet by itself to a T. It feels snug and protected in this case. The only downside is that the straps are made for a netbook so it isn't totally secure if you are holding the tablet in it with the case open. It works "okay" like this if you are just watching media though (I did it the other day). I don't have a dock but I'm pretty sure a dock will fit. There is a bit more room and this case is made for a netbook afterall.
The material on this case is very good and I really like the padding. It looks pretty professional although due to the size it could easily be mistaken for a "man bag".
The Transformer does fit in this case while it is ALSO in the Bold. However, it is a pretty tight fit and I worry that the edges of the Bold will curl from how tight it is. Due to this, I am strongly considering returning the NetBook case now that I have the Bold.
Overall, this is a great "everyday" carrying case. Only issues are that you could NOT fit the charger in there (I bought it knowing that and only use this for single day trips) and it will not properly accommodate the tablet if you have a case on it.
Nice - thanks for the long review.
I think I will wait for the TechTree review before I decide.
Goddam, why there is no Clip-in system cases yet? I'll never buy a case with such a bezel !
thanks bro for sharing i went and bought on since i cant find one in the wild... protecting my baby Transformer ..cant wait for it
I received my CaseCrown case yesterday. I am really impressed with the quality. It looks and feels very professional.
Some of the cases I have seen on ebay had uneven stitching. Maybe they were sown by hand. Here are a few shots I took to give you guys a closer look.
Let me know if you have any questions about the case. I have gotten so much from these forums; I want to give a little back.
Got mine last night. IN the "up to watch" mode its quite stable. IN the typing mode its a bit floppy and the bottom can come loose if you move it around a bit but given the cost it gets me what I want. I really just wanted the up to watch mode.
Excellent pics, really shows how good the case is with the flap folded all the way back, can't see any over hang. Looks less bulky but solid. Can't wait until they send mine but I am in Canada and we just had a postal strike.
How's the additional weight does this case add on?

Yeah I would have loved something like the Otterbox that didn't cover as much of the bezel. Not too much of an issue though.

Hey my pic of it laying down is a little cut off. There IS overhang. About 1.3 cm.
It does add noticeable weight. Fortunately I have been holding it less now that I have the case.

I don't think the rooCASE is out yet. rooCASE is known for good quality too though. It probably will boil down to preference over whether you want the single angle style or the multi angle style.

After reading the first few reviews on the roocase, I'm leaning toward the case crown case...I preordered the roocase, but people say the camera does not line up perfectly with the holes. This is a big negative for me because I use my tablet to webcam with people.

I don't have the CaseCrown but i do have the rooCase multiangle. Fit is fine, cutouts line up. The 5 or 6 extra dollars that the rooCase costs buys you the multiangle feature plus real leather. The downside is it probably weighs more than the CaseCrown.

Do you think neoprene cases for the macbook air 11" would work? G-form recommends their 11" laptop case for the Xoom (similar to the TP).
Here are the Macbook Air sizes:

I bought a Timbuk2 macbook air case for mine. It fits, but not well. It is too large, so the tablet floats around. I have a Transformer Prime specific case on order from Amazon. It cost a whopping $7 with free shipping, and it is supposed to fit the tablet and dock.

Good call with this one! went earlier this morning to BB and picked 1 up. FYI, for those interested, go to car audio where they sell the portable DVD Players and it should be right next to it. the people in the tablet department had no idea what i was talking about.

You should leave a message when you pay. Little box just before you accept the payment. If you didn't do that just send a mail or message on Ebay and say the name of the sleeve you want. If you don't do that how will they know what to send to you????
Just read this that they have written on Ebay. Isn't that difficult to understand how to do. Or is it?
" you can choose any design below and tell us the product number(For example : BH10-13 Polka dots) in payment note or email us immediately after pay for it(please do it quickly .let us ship your Order asap. Thanks for business and supports)"
Ordered 2 different designs. The seller has already shipped so now I just have to wait.
Will be fun to see how the quality is. For $9 I don't expect much.

>> REVIEW << Galaxy Note 3 S-VIEW case - Authentic VS Fake - Lots of Pics!
Fedex just dropped off my new note 3 s-view case today, and I have to say that this is one serious high quality case.
As I have been riding temporarily on the cheap flip cases from China, I have a few days of comparison under my belt.....
and for clarity sake.....there is NO comparison.
Quick Observations:
1. This case has REAL nylon stitching. This was completely unexpected as everyone said it was molded. Well, not on the flip cover. I hobby with leather craft and know real stitching when I see it - Bravo Samsung !
2. The case is heavy ! Compared to the OEM plastic back, this case is a porker.
3. The bonded vinyl is textured but NOT to look like leather. I hear the black case has a leather texture. This does not.
4. The cheap case has a soft felt lining on the inner surface (real lint collectors), the OEM case is slick vinyl.
5. The view port on the cheap case comes pre-scratched to save you the trouble. Its CHEAP and looks it. The OEM looks like some bonded or coated plastic and it definitely feels sturdier.
6. The view port on the cheap case DOES NOT transfer any touch commands. So its only a pretty window at best.
7. The cheap case has no control element, so opening and closing the case does not trigger any s-view options.
8. The cheap case clearly has no NFC antenna. Ironically, neither does the OEM back. The OEM flip does !
9. The OEM flip case is stiff. Out of the box, the cover wants to flip closed. I am sure that will change over time.
10. Last but not least, the OEM flip case extends beyond the plastic shinny edges (really samsung ??) of the phone for added protection, vs the cheap case's flush-to-the-edge design.
OVERALL - This case is well worth the $60 they charge. I do suspect it may suffer from some edge de-lamination over time as its clear that the vinyl cover is bonded. Given where the stitching is, I can see some potential for peeling around the edges. That aside - this case is a total win for the note line and Samsung R&D hit their marks on this one. I do expect to get a black version at some point as I used a black cheap case for a few days, and the the color combo looked great (like a classic tux!).
Enjoy the pics!

What a godsend this option is. I was so sick of fumbling with my Gnote 2 flip case when trying to take a pic. This is brilliant and much easier to handle.
I like the look of this case and would happily buy one but I can't help but think it's going to be a giant pain in the ass to use the phone with it on. Does the flap get in the way of holding the phone when you're using it?

The case is stiff, no doubt, but I do expect it to lose up similar to my experience with the note 2. This case has more substance to it so it will probably take longer. Concerning the pita factor, if u buy it from Verizon and dont like it, I believe u can return it in 14 days. I don't find the case to be an issue as I talk on the phone with the cover in the closed position. This works out better as I don't have to deal with greasy ear prints. Also, when open, I slip my pinky and ring fingers on each side of the case which makes 1 handed typing easier as you have a good grip point. I also forgot to add earlier, the case does not interfere with the back camera!
A few hours in and I am loving the sview screens - just the right amount of data and jumps right yo the alerting app when you open the cover after a text or call comes in.
It doesn't have nfc built into it. Those pins are for the s view to work. Nfc is built into the battery.

great review/pics... ordered one, 25%off using business account... not bad
I think my OCD won't let me use my Note with this case, just imagining it flapping around annoys me.
Thanks for this.
I have been checking with some of the other makers of S-View cases and got this response.
"sorry, this product do not have s-view function, and sleep/weak up model,
at moment,ONLY official case has this funcion as there is a chip in the back of case,
nobody can copy that in a few month. whatever you see in the market or ebay, all of them do not have s-view function exclude OFFICIAL Samsung CASE"
So I guess it will only be the Samsung cases that work for now.
Might be another reason Spigen are holding back.

It bothers me a little bit. It starts to feel pretty "sharp" after long use. Plus It doesn't like to stay closed unless you put it face down--albeit I've only had the case about 3 days. I'm giving it a break for right now, because it's not very useful for me right now. I use my spigen most of the time now.
does S-View adversely affect Battery Life?

seems like I will go without a casing for quite awhile...
I got the case few days ago. I got nothing good to say about it.
1. Case really is "sharp" (Thankfully not so sharp that it could cut your fingers off - but close)
2. If I'm right there is magnet in the flip (left - down corner) It's just for phone to know if flip is closed or open.. But, why it could'nt be at right side of flip --> It would be abel to hold flip closed, now it flaps freely
3. Why case have to come over phone lines everywhere, why case can't be like S3 and S4 (Nohing else changes but the flip) Note 3 comes bigger and harder to handle + when flip is turned to back of the phone, it's very hard to take s-pen out.
4. Why there can't be hole for indicator led that is top of phone next to speaker, When you attach the flip cover, you can't see that blinking LED telling you that you have missed call, or any other notifications (messages, phone is fully charged, etc..)
5. S-Hole (lol, or should it be called s-view window or something). Anyway, I think it is too a total fail from Samsung (Mean the software side of it) So to list what I think is bad in it: Weather, needs that one widget enabled to work + if GPS is off it don't update weather (if GPS is all time on, that eats you battery, you cant manually set place for weather). Alarm, why window can't show when you have next alarm? How about using camera through S-Hole - What a joke, no matter what settings you have in your camera - pictures will always be squares (3096 x 3096)
That makes the camera option totally useless for me.
PS, Im not 100% sure of everything I told there, but that is how I think. And forgive me my english, I know it's not smooth and fully right writed, but I think you'll get the point
This is one of those unknown China-made accesories that I happened to stumble upon in a accesories kiosk. Very minimal and easy to take off, especially if you need to change the battery a lot.

It's perfect for those extended battery packs or the more bumped out S Charger cover by Samsung.
It cost just below $10. No disruption to the antennas. Protects the plastic fake chrome sides - the only weakness I find with the Note 3.

Hi, I see these cases on eBay for very cheap. I was wondering if you know if the case protrudes enough so that the camera doesn't touch the bottom with the case on using the standard stock cover? Like with the standard battery cover and the case ... does the camera still touch the table if you place it down or is it thick enough to raise the camera up?

Unfortunately, there isn't something like that. This is my 2nd frame. My first one had to be screwed to be in place:
You can can see that the frame matches to cover the sides, NOT to match the thickness of the back so to prevent the CAMERA FROM TOUCHING a flat surface. This is one of the reasons why I got the S Charger cover. Its thicker build raises the camera lens by a fraction of a millimeter and the flat back prevents wobbling while you wrote with the S Pen.
I tried the wireless charging and it's great for office or home. But not often for me since my job requires me not staying at one place.

Anyone got a ebay link?
This is a very interesting product. I would like a nice bumper case that doesn't affect signal or adds bulk.
---------- Post added at 06:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:42 PM ----------
Quick search on ebay.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trk...se&_nkw=note+3+bumper+case&_sacat=0&_from=R40 offers many options for about $10.
I've always wanted to try one of these with a colored OEM backing.
Watch out for the screw ones on eBay though, I purchased one a couple months ago.
The package came with 1 screw (the case needed 2) and it didn't even come with the little screw driver.
Wasn't worth the wait and I had it refunded anyway.

The first one is exactly like mine. No signal issues at all. The main antenna is at the bottom back of the Note 3 and it does not block it at all. I enjoy using it with an all black look. Easy to remove to change battery.
The second one has an odd one corner fire the latch, like I had a strange corner with the screw on for my first aluminum bumper.

I just received my black Red pepper case for my Note 3. I bought it on eBay for $27 and it was shipped from California. Shipping was fast (2 days) and free.
Craftsmanship: 7/10
- Review the photos below and you'll see that the foam area on the inside of the case around the earpiece is misaligned. I am still able to hear calls just fine, but it's a bad look.
- The case fits together very tightly, and in my case it was too tight. I had to trim a few supports off the inside of the back of the case to keep my home button from staying pressed.
Usability: 10/10
- it is easily as waterproof as my Love Mei case and probably even better. All the holes are nicely sealed and the case comes together well.
Looks: 9/10
- in my opinion, the case looks well. It comes in many different colors, so you can easily pick whichever choice pleases you.
- the back of the case is the feaux stitched leather just like the back of the note 3.
Feel: 8/10
- this thing is Light. Much lighter than my aluminum case.
- it did not add much to the height or width of my Note, but it made it about 1/2" thicker.
- the outside of the case is some type of rubber. It feels just like the rubber on the corners of the UAG case. This is great because it doesn't stick to my pockets like silicone. On the other hand, it is a little slippery in my hand, but it is much better than going caseless.
Overall I'd give it an 8/10. The price is so cheap that you can easily get one as a spare and keep it as an outdoors case if you prefer something more elegant as a daily case. The case feels good, and I have a full signal. My GPS is back to normal and I feel like my phone is safe in this case. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a "Lifeproof" style case. I even ordered another for my wife.

No, the menu and back buttons are very sensitive. The power and volume buttons are stiff, but not hard to press if that makes sense. When I first put it on it was too tight and My home button wouldn't function. I had to shave a few millimeters off of all the tabs circled below. Now it fits perfectly and everything is working great.

How does one know these are not fakes? They are very cheap compared to Red pepper home page and on these ebay pictures they look rather filmsy to me. Also, does the screen protector make a clicking sound on the screen?

The call quality is good. I had to turn my speaker down a little because the sound was a bit distorted. That's not a bad thing though. It is very clear at a medium/high volume and I have had no complaints from people on the other end.

I don't. They could be fake. I'm not making any claims here. I am not the seller, nor am I affiliated with the seller.
I have never held an authentic red pepper case so I can't compare this to that, but if this is a fake It is an elaborate fake. The box and all the accessories are nice. The manual was well written. It looks nothing like a cheap knock off case.
Yes, the screen protector does make a really faint clicking sound when you tap on it, but it is barely noticeable.
