update: Unexpectedly Samsung actually released SGA in white a few months later.
Ever since Samsung Galaxy S II got a white version I became curious how a SGA would like in white.
The white backplate makes our device half white, and it doesnt really match the black front imo.
So here is a concept of how it would look like if the front was white too:
Better or worse?
White looks better with white in this case, so in conclution it's better imo.
(I used GO launcher ex for the homescreen if you wonder.)

Looks like it is going to be awhile before the case I want is out. I can get the international version of it now. But like others have pointed out it covers the top noise cancelling mic. If I do that what exactly is that going to do?

Not much. You can also cut a hole in these cases carefully and use them if you are really concerned.

Yeah the focal point is off, it was hard to tell from the viewfinder when the picture is pretty much a black on black reflective object . I didn't want to spend the time shooting it again, but you can see the hole.

Hey, they added more colors (blue, black, and "red") were the only ones when I bought mine. That red appears to be masquerading as orange.
I'd imagine you could also accomplish something very similar with a Dremel tool and the right bit.
Or if you want the $0.10 solution, a paperclip and lighter.
I have 3 galaxy s3 here today, white. When i look at it in bright light on the back cover its a pattern in the plastic, it looks like a oily map, holograms or something like rainbow colors reflecting in patterns.
Can anyone else check the back cover under a lamp ?

I tried to take pickture but its impossible to get it visible on my iphone 4s camera.
Looks like its between the hyperglaze and the plastic.
I can confirm in any light, including torch shining on it, what you are experiencing is not present on mine. Get them to send you a new back cover (and pray they don't send you blue )

My white version has this exact same thing but it needs just the right light to see it. I don't think its a flaw.

I have it as well, so everyone has it and how it is flaw ? I think they should have printed galaxy SIII on the back cover as well. Not having it makes the phone look generic
So what revision is your back covers? Mine is 2nd v3 whatever that means.

Same here! I don't mind even if it is a flaw since I don't ever look at the backside. Plus, you have look at it very closely to notice!

I think its just the hyper glazing stuff. Ive seen similar looks in other products too.
My only issue with the phone is the brightness level. Other than that i`m well happy.

From the front it looks awesome, not to much on the back(just my opinion). Think if you would've left the back black and just painted the kickstand and the HTC yellow it would've been pretty sick. Again,not trying to be a **** just my opinion.

I agree with some of the other guys ..I wouldnt of paint the whole back yellow..and the paint isn'tsmooth in a couple areas...its. not for me since I'm happy with the phone as is..but I applaud your bravery

Ditto. I feel the yellow was overdone. It also looks like it was one thick coat sprayed on in haste. A few very thin coats would have come out great (I'll bet this one stays tacky for a while, or it will chunk off if it catches a nail or something) but, of course, it's all personal preference.
I think it's a fantastic idea but you shouldve kept a 2 color thing going. Maybe black and yellow as one mentioned around the camera and kickstand,

I think it would've looked a lot better if you kept the highlights a different color, a solid color phone doesn't look that appealing to me.

That's the metal ones that drop signal and fade.
The one I'm looking for is in the pics. It's oem Samsung just in colors.
I find third party people who make the white and black but none that make other colors

Good search but i have been looking for a few days now.
I came up with pretty much all that. i have no problem with ebay i use it all the time.
I do like the orange one with the sliver line on it. but they do not sells those in a dark blue color.
The other ones are either metal, shinny or pastel.
Im simply looking for a dark blue one that is like the stock white one.
As seen in the picture it had texture to it.
I was thinking about getting one of those flip cases and cutting off the front flip since i dont like that. But im just not sure.

I did an online chat with the samsung people and they said its not on there website but they gave me a number to there accessories department.
Ill give them a call tomorrow and see if they have it.
I know alot of time manufacturers only make test stuff and never release them to the public.

My friend picked up the red Note 3 last week and I really fancy getting the back cover for my phone, but for the life of me I can't find a source of them.
I use my phone without a case/bumper/cover and so far have found cheap black and white replacements, reasonable mustard, pale blue, orange ones, and then cheap nasty knockoffs in the wrong shade of red.
Anyone know where I might find one?

Just a quick update on this, got the official red back. Looks lovely on the phone, however the only issue is it feels more plastic than the black one and has less "stick" meaning it slides from my fingers.

Makes sense, the black one is the only one with a rubber coating. The red would feel similar to the white backdoor.
