I also like Go Launcher, it give you a lot of animated effects in the app drawer

Nice launcher thanks for the tip

Nice start but laggy in key elements of the UI

Thanks for the tip but the launcher lacks a lot of customization at this point.
Go Launcher EX FTW!

I just installed this tonight, it looks great, but I can't get widgets to show up. Anyone else have this problem?

LauncherPro is the best the free version is available on the market. (And I won't post the pro version)
Its ok. Cuz i have bought tht too!

Sorry to hijack the thread. But WHY is launcherpro the best? I've used ADW and in my opinion its much better looking and much more functional. But anyway for that being said. ADW EX ftw

LauncherPro runs smoothly the moment you install it. ADW has to be optimized, and tweaked with to get it run barely like LauncherPro.
That's my reason too, i used both adw and lp and my opinion is that lp is better (faster)
Sent from my MB525 using xda premium
I've tried both LauncherPro and ADW and I have to vote for ADW over LauncherPro. Maybe the paid version is better.
What do you mean regarding optimize ADW also? How would this be done?
Go Launcher Ex
ADW Launcher and Zeam Launcher alternatively
For me ADW Launcher is the best because you can customize nearly every part of it
Launcher 7(wp 7 look alike) its free, check in market .

I've been pretty disappointed with the majority of the launchers I've downloaded. Not that they are bad, just not the experience that I'm looking for. They all end up looking the same to me. I like to make my phone unique, the reason I really like android, and most launchers have the same format.
I'm currently using Launcher7 because it's different that all the other android launchers I've seen. Granted, it just looks like WP7 but it's at least different than virtually every other android phone out there. I'm rather fond of the vertical scrolling and the tile aspect of the launcher. I can create my own tile icons, again it that customization, and I can scroll through all the tiles I want on one screen rather than flipping home screen to home screen. It also minimizes how often I need to go to the "app drawer" because all of my most used apps are on one "home screen". Just my opinion. Maybe, at some point, I create my own unique launcher. For now I really appreciate all of the hard work everyone has put into the launchers available.
Peace,
Ray
launcherpro is by far my favorite.
Launcher pro plus
Go launcher
Vtl launcher is the best bc you can edit everything and works with adw themes.

I've settled on adw but i just found dxhome on the market. The weather widget that comes with it only shows cities in china but i think the app as a whole has potential.

Panoramic Wallpaper

-Is there a way to get panoramic wallpaper on the home screen like how the Galaxy S II has it?
-Also, how do I delete pages on my home screen?
You have to use a different launcher other then sense launcher is the only way for scrolling wallpaper

I would like this as well. Launchers are nice but we all know that removes sense. He refuses to put tweaks in there so this would be really badaasssss
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
Honestly 5x5 sense looks really messy I'd recommend LauncherPro or ADW
If know how to resize rosie to 5x5 but you'd have to get the widgets resized also...and I don't know how to yet with sense 3.0 ...and it is a lot of work to do in earlier sense versions....so if you can find the widgets...pm me and ill make the rosie....its kinda pointless to have one or the other

Oh I see... I'll keep my eye out for them I thought their might be one out their that I missed...I'm spoiled from my 4g

Might not be the best solution but in Myns rom tweaks there's an option for 5 column app drawer.

Just hold you're finger over the icon then slide it up to the top to delete then to replace hold finger on an empty space on home screen and then select the app you want close it then drag the icon to the desktop bar

I use wit cm-7-20121125-NIGHTLY official Defy+ and no crash in 2 days.

Beware of the beta
I was at 1 step to flash the rom because of the Next Launcher, it was the single launcher that I have installed on my defy and beta time has ended and a message appear to buy the full version and no way to get rid of the message, I was luckly that i have borwser in the recent apps and for there I installed another launcher

Yep unfortunately its now a paid app at £9.99 in app store but I still use it I just ignore the install and click upgrade later and it still works

I am using this..... it's a little heavy on the ram and possibly on the battery.... but the launcher is really cool and being a long time fan of the go dev and their apps .... I just loved it! Very happy with it..... just cannot go back to the old one now

Splay Launcher

Has anyone used this launcher? I read about it on Engadget. Seems cool. Better IMO than the PIE style launcher except that there really aren't homescreens and widgets/icons.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ult#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5lbHMuc3BsYXkiXQ..
It does need some polishing and fine tuning. But its a very interesting concept for a launcher !
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I read that on Engadget too and am using it now. Looks like a nice design. Should be a lot better once all the links in the menus work. Many of them seem to not do anything, like the email link.
