What is the most stable gingerbread rom?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
All of them so far are stable! CM7, OMFGB, and MIUI. Use the glitch kernel with Miui imo and you'll get the best experience.

Having tried cm7 and miui. I'd say miui is far ahead of cm7, and it's customization ability is awesome. Give it more than a day though. Im using glitches hl kernel, lightning fast

I believe that would be one that is stock but rooted. Maybe bloatware taken out as you go.
I really liked NeroV3 it has nearly no bloatware, touchwiz removed, and it uses the stock home from the nesus one! it's amazingly fast, battery life is amazing, and yes its for the vibrant
Most stock? Vanilla android or touchwiz

I'm rooting a friends phone for him and i was just about to flash CWM from ROM Manager but i don't know if i should flash Vibrant or Vibrant (MTD). what's the difference?
Vibrant (MTD) is for Cyanogen Mod 7
unless if you're planning on flashing CM7 RIGHT after that, then do the regular vibrant option.
What's the most stable nightly

If you're doing this for a friend's phone (because of this, I'm assuming he doesn't know much about android, advanced android stuff, and android debugging), then stay on stable Samsung roms as he will be able to handle them with basic phone knowledge.

Honestly im running the latest nightly of cm7, applied the gps fix, and am running the glitch kernel....
Everything is flawless. Gps locks fast, no force closes on anything. Stable and smooth. No more in call audio problems.... its come a LONG way. Gingerbread really is pretty much stable at this point if youve tried it.
You can always try the latest nightly and if you dont like it flash back to something else without a problem.

well the problem is that it's not for my phone so I wouldn't have constant access to it provided something went wrong. and if that wouldn't be a deterent, could you post links for the latest nightly, gps fix and kernel

Surely give me about half hour.
As long as your friend doesnt live an hour away it takes 5 minutes to change a rom if hes unhappy
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
Ok here are the links. First download cm7. The latest nightly is 62, here is the link:
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/get/cm_vibrantmtd_full-62.zip
Here is a link to the glitch kernel. There are three different kinds here is the one which is usually the best and most stable:
http://androtransfer.com/tk-glitch/...rant/VoodooColor/CM7Vibrant-Glitch-V11-HL.zip
Here is a link to the gps fix. There are a few steps, but if you take your time you should have no problem.

If you want a REALLY stable rom with not a lot of bells and whistles apart from the standard tweaks, Zendroid 2.0.1 with Bali is an excellent choice for a beginner (its what I started off with) and has excellent battery life, especially with it's generally dark colored theme.
Im sorry but no offense. At this point, roms for the vibrant aren't very originally.
I've found that all the gingerbread roms are based purely off CM7 at this point, even burgertimes roms are based from CM7 source.....
CM7 really is the way to go at this point. It's more than stable enough as a daily driver, and if you know what you're doing it's even better.
Can't go wrong with CM7 these days.... Anyone who tells you otherwise i'm just going to have to believe is a fool...
Hey why not go with Bionix, it's only 10 years outdated now.
Can anyone tell me which rom is the best for speed and stability?
Cyanogenmod v6.5.7 +Goldenleaf 13092011... Smooth in gameplay... Boost of ram, check my thread...

Well if your talking froyo, I would say megaton or devoid final. CM7 is fast, stable, and performance enhanced and a good choice if you want more options to play with

That's or course CM7.

What is the most stable stock ROM available that is flash-able through CWM? I enjoy the stock Moto 4.5.91 ROM but I want to theme it to look more like stock android. Thanks!
Homebase is the most "stock" rom. You can get it with and without blur. But cm7 is the most stock android rom. Homebase is very stable, cm7 is beta but still stable.

+1 for Alien, until the fp scanner is added to CM.
I read that KennPenn is taking a break from updating alien. Is the current version of his alien ROM stable and reliable for everyday use?
Ok, This thread is dedicated to all LG Optimus ROM DEV and ROM users. We have full park of ROM for our Optimus devise. Lets Poll which one is best and stable according to you.
well daxelectro sonygenmod v6.0 haven't release also
I just added. In any case it's gonna be released soon. Then people can vote.
i'd say void. it was amazing the time i used it
I'm currently using Mik's Cyanogen 6.6.1 with Franco's latest Kernel and its very stable for me. Waiting for ICS now, hahahaha.

mik's is stable and reliable. I'd put void and CyanogenMMatt up there too. All are good choices if someone just wants to slap on a custom ROM that works and not tempted to try out new stuff anymore
Phoenix is great, but still in the process to become stable.

Haven't tried anything other than mik's rom, because to me it's very stable. And don't want to mess around too much since I have only one phone.

No, i know its cm9, what i mean is Mik's version, like now is 6.5.8/6.6.1, so now should wait for 7.0.0/7.1.0 or 8.0.0/8.1.0
