Head over to the i9000 forums specifically the general forum. You'll find info for that phone there as well as stock and custom roms

if you wish to unlock it just go buy a code for it.
I got one here http://unlockcellphonecode.com/code-for-unlocking-samsung-cell-phone
they gave me an unlock code and an unfreeze code incase i needed that as well.
Hope this helps

Hey guys, I tried everything on this phone, from the free Market app, to the more involved method by the French guy in the Bible Sticky thread on how to unlock.... I even bit the bullet and bought an unlock code which also does not work when I try to allow it to manually register on the gsm network with MNC/MCC codes...
Is there any other method left I can try to possibly unlock my phone?
My first vibrant with 2.1 unlocked just fine.... then the mainboard on it crapped out, the replacement I got I could root & install 2.2 on easy, I think its Eugene's Froyo.... its awesome just that I can't unlock it :-(

Hi. I have a Telus Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 3G+ (SGH-T959D), running 2.2, that I am trying to unlock. I have found several threads on this forum dealing with unlocking, but none of them specifically say that they will work with this model. Has anyone tried a specific method and worked? It would be greatly appreciated if someone could point me to the thread that unlocked their Telus Fascinate. Thank you!
have you done this yet?
No, I did not. I gave up to avoid making the phone nonfunctional.
Get SGS Unlock in the android market (free app)
I used it on my T959D when I went home to the philippines. Was able to use a sim I bought there and had perfect service, even 3g

SGS Unlock free edition wouldn't work for me on my telus fascinate.. but the pro version did.
I rooted it with super one click 1.5.5 first before doing the unlock.
I used the market app:
"Galaxy S Unlock,2.03,com.helroz.galaxysunlock"
on my T959D Telus running 2.2.
I had to use the 3 steps in the app because it only revealed FFFFFF for my unlock code.
I too was able to unlock a Telus SGH-T959D with Froyo 2.2 using "Galaxy S Unlock" ver 2.03 from the Market.
Had to do step 2 to do it, also had to have Internet connection. Which was not possible of course because the SIM was not working. Had to use the wifi connection.
The phone was rooted before that using SuperOneClick 2.2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=890821)
does his work with Gingerbread 2.3.3?

I just did this with my Telus Samsung fascinate lastnight actually. I currently have GB 2.3.3... I had to Root my phone, get BusyBox, and Superuser before the Unlock App would work. But my phone is unlocked now.
I was fooling around using my sister's Fido Sim in my phone for a couple hours before she noticed her phone had no sim in it lol
Used SuperOneClick to root and had to use SGS Unlock pro version. The free version would not work.
Anyway it is now rooted and unlocked.
Thanks all for the pointers.
Sort of reviving an old thread: I'm getting a T959D as well from Telus, wanted to know if I should upgrade to GB before unlocking using the above or not.
That is assuming it's not GB already (since it's a refurb).
/EDIT NVM, it came with GB 2.3.3
The free version of the Galaxy S unlock app worked for me. I had BusyBox and Superuser installed as the previous posts suggested, and was running a 4.0.4 ROM.

Hey as far as I know swapping out roms on an android device plays no effect on the sim making it re-lock. When I had an unlocked G2x i was swapping out roms all day and never had to buy another code or anything.
Hope this helps you.
Once a phone is sim unlocked, its unlocked forever.

You won me the answer post.
I have a sim unlocked ATT Atrix too, and after the .91 update the sim unlock remained.
Cheers.
I am from India.
I wanted to buy a Locked Bell Samsung Galaxy S2 from Canada, bring it to India, and thought of flashing an Indian stock sbf... Will this remove the network lock so that I can use the phone with an Indian sim card without a problem?
If there are any other suitable methods plz let me know about them...
Thank you

I used an app by helroz. It worked a treat and was quicker than chainfires app which didn't work for me.

flashing an indian sbf will not unlock your phone. You should get unlocked before you leave Canada.
try helroz unlock.
or unlock by imei online. There are some reputable companies that do it.
If you try this method do yur research first.
Hello,
I just bought a Samsung Galaxy SII i9100G and I can't find how to unlock it (I was able to root it thanks to Unlock Root).
I'd like to know if it is possible to unlock it? And if it is, how to do it?
Thanks for your answers,

I bought this phone in another country, and I'd like now to use it with a sim card from another country.
How can I unlock it to use it with other sim Cards?
Go to xda front page and look new from about first three pages, there you should find app that generates unlock codes

I downloaded the app to Unlock the Galaxy S2, but it goes on through five steps from 0 to 100% and tells me that it can't find the code to unlock my phone.
I think maybe it's because it is a S2 GT-i9100G
What should I do?
