Phone answer problen - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello my phone was great until I flashed miui. When i flashed this whenever I would pick up a call the person on the other line couldn't hear me until about 2 seconds after I answered. I thought this was a miui problem, but now it's been in all my roms since. I've been to about 3 different roms after miui and this "bug" is sstill there. Any help?

Magents Joking...
Do you have it partitioned or anything?
Flashing to sombionix's JK6 fixes that problem for me.

Not that I know of, it was working fine before and all of a sudden today it didn't work, but today I flashed the new axura 2.1 so maybe that triggered something. Other that no its not partitioned, atleast I think....

Need help!

I am unable to mount my vibrant to Odin or any other program for that matter. I believe it is the port itself on the vibrant. It charges but won't mount. Since I cannot mount to Odin in download mode how can I flash to stock so that I can send in for warrant exchange? I'm running the latest pics passion rom. Thank you in advance.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
If I'm not mistaken you need Odin to get back to stock. Have you seen anyone else the your current rom's thread suffering the same problem?
Sent from my T959 using xda premium
Now another question for you! Prior to flashing your phone with the rom did you do a nandroid back up? If so just restore the phone that way. It may work.

You could try to flash one of these, "[ROM] OFFICIAL T-Mo Vibrant JFD ODIN/Nandroid Backup Images 7/29/10 (Tested/Working)"
Not sure if the links are working or not but worth a try.
I didn't make a backup such a novice move I know. Other than those there's no way?

Rom Manager

Why dont developers add their roms onto it? There is only 1 rom on there which is cm. Would be great if there were some more for quick access to roms.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I guess they like to release them in a thread with a description, change log of updates, a list of things not working / bugs, and a way to connect with the users.
Putting it on Rom Manager is just throwing it out there with no support.
People still use rom manager?

Because ROM manager is responsible for about 90% of bootloops..
RM is the debil!
Say it, Don't spray it.

Oh really? I never knew that. I have always installed roms manually and just recently tried rom manager. Guess its time to stop using it.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Rom manager is obsolete compared to TWRP. ..
And just some sound advice. ..
Never let an application do the flashing for you. ..
You'll likely end up soft bricked. ..
Get to know and understand your recovery and how it works, then you have a backup plan when something goes wrong. ...g

Flashed CM, but where's my external SD?

Hi everybody!
I flashed CyanogenMod 10.1... It's a very nice ROM, but I have a big problem!
YES, I formatted my external SDcard to fat32!
When I want to go on my external SD storage, I must go to /storage/sdcard1 or something like that, and if I want to go to my internal storage, I must go to /.../legacy...
On Stock, there was it very easy; there were two options: sdcard0 and extSdCard....
Is this issue/bug fixable?
Oh yes, and I want to save my pictures and downloads on externalsd....
Has anyone an idea? )
Greetings...

It's not an issue. Partitions has been changed in CM and that's why now they're called differently....

Just FYI: this has nothing to do with CM 10.1 or stock.
This is related to Android 4.2.X vs. 4.1.X.
4.2.X supports multiuser, and that functionality requires this new way of structuring sdcard.
CM 10.1 is based on 4.2.2, so you end up with the new structure.
But also stock XXUFMB3 does the same.
It used to bother me at the beginning, but I got used to it.
If you do not like the new path, you can also point your applications to /data/media and you end up in your internal sdcard.

Slimbean gets laggy after first day of use

How much do you have on your internal SD? And also you may just have to do a clean wipe. Format/factory reset. Clear cache and dalvik. Wipe /system and /boot
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
I do that and i have about 10gb free on my sdcard

You can find a copy of the Devil4.2 kernel, here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1982728. Head down to the Kernel section and you can't miss it.
Also, I'd hate to pester you, but how's that EU fix guide coming along? :silly:
Sent from my SGH-T959
Im working on the guide but i broke 1 knuckle and fractired another 2 so might take a little longer and thsnks for the kernel.
