Roma prejudice as I have installed on the Xperia x8 FROYO zousoum96 2.2.1, I want to install the rom
Gingerbread 2.3.5, but from what I understand I should redraw the original rom xperia x8 and repeat the usual procedure and xRecovery ROOT to install the Gingerbread 2.3.5.
thanks

3>@crucitti : you should have posted this in the "Q&A" or in the "General" section.Anyway, just use xRecovery to flash the GDX update. No need to flash stock again. After, do a full wipe (and my advice would be format the sdcard and wipe dalvik cache & battery stats to be sure).

My little suggestion is, do all the wipes before installing rom, not after.
Always do this way and 0 problems.
Cheers.

Would be quite a nice feat. Just like all your other little tweaks etc. Unforunatley I have no knowledge in this, just a big fan of your work/ports etc.
would it be any easier to try and port this for the CM6?
For Users [DEODEXED XXJVK, XWJVB ROM ONLY]
ClockworkMod v3
Download the OverscrollGlow_CWM3 ZIP file and flash with ClockworkMOD.
Wipe Dalvik Cache and Reboot.
Only Compatible with CMW3.
good luck!

Anybody here?
They're apps that come with the ROM which means you can't uninstall them. But you can download titanium backup pro and remove them with that and they should stay uninstalled.

But last time when my phone still in v2.3.4 Build 4.0.2.A.42, I can uninstall normally. After I updated to Build 4.0.2.A.62 I can't uninstall....

Other way, Titanium Backup need rooted device to work. And after I updated to Build 4.0.2.A.62, I can't root by using SuperOneClick or DooMLoRD methods.
I don't know what did Sony does to this Build 4.0.2.A.62....
.62 are the latest,so devs need a time to figure how to root it,but why you update to. 62?.42 are the best interm of performance and batt life..hey your device has its own forum, should check there for your problem, they might help..

Ok try this one, hope is the one that I downloaded from facebook. There was another one from this forum some guy trying the same thing, but I am not sure if is the same. I did not try it, so proceed with care.
Do i have to install in CWM or i have to extract it and copy to system/app?

of course, you can use both methods, but the zip is to be installed in recovery. Should work on CWM or xRecovery the same. But as I said, I am not sure it works, anyway, I did not test it, proceed with care , have first a backup.
