I FOUND AN ISSUE WITH THE NEW STARBURST ROM, also used the new overclocking - its fast but with a problem (two of them below)
or maybe i'm the only one who has this problem but after installing the rom on my rooted GT 10.1, my netflix app seems to be not working any longer, the icon is also changed to a black background with an android logo on the bottom right corner with a the netflix working in the middle from the original red background. i have to keep installing the old netflix apk file for me to use netflix but after rebooting the system it has the same outcome.
SECOND,
the lock screen configuration is no longer working
everytime i select to enable lock screen (to turn it ON), it just throws me back to the application and security options. anyone has this problem -> what should i do to fix this issue????

I have the exact same issue, still looking for a solution.
If you found a fix can u post?
Upgrade to firmware 3.2 and see if it fixed itself.

Hi
From some time (even before I have flashed custom rom) I have a problem with screen orientation. At some point some apps when using portrait mode are upside down. To use them I need to rotate n700 to landscape and then it's okay, but returning to portrait - upside down. Interesting is that some apps are not affected by that like Go Launcher - it is always the right way, some games as well. I tried to recalibrate sensors but have no luck.
Only way to cure this is a reboot.
Anyone knows the solution?

I recently experienced this same problem on my VPAD after upgrading superuser to 3.0 as the notification asked me to. Also tried recalibrating g sensor with no luck.
Yes I also had it too before the upgrade to superuser 3.0, but now after I did the 3.0 upgrade it seems to be happening more often!!!
Does anyone have the older SU available?
It happened after rooting by SuperOneClick. To solve it I did:
1) remove root
2) reboot device
3) orientation is OK
4) make root
5) orientation is OK

I gave it a try and whenever I re-root, the upside down problem comes back. Rooting using superoneclick 1.7. Also tried restarting VPAD between attempts and updating to superuser 3.0.4 via the market after rooting.

I have found out, that ONLY RESTART is enought. I think that the bad rotation is due to running superuser application., usualy this cases come if I use any "root" application.
Try using VTL.Launcher - apk available in Market, download & install, replace stock launcher or select as default to run.
Been using it for a while, and even with new su & binary updates, it does a very job 95% of the time in the proper orientation, depending on the Apps.
Easily uninstalled if not liked or decided it's not for you for whatever reason.
It is not about launcher - you can lock launcher on portrait or landscape position and it will not change orientation for itself.
But if you go to any menu - like applications for example - it's upside down.
I can say however that after flashing EUviewpad 1.6 rom by Amalgation - I don't have this problem any more. With previous ones - this was veeeeery annoying.
The symptom was like bad orientation of g-sensor. In normal use it was enough to switch off orientation dependency for apps - but game like Labirynth uses g-sensor to move ball on the table. And of course tilting tablet off you causes the ball to move ....... against gravity, up the hill
I am happy this is no longer in this ROM.

I also said to myself - yeah, one reboot and that's it. After screen has turned upside down just right after the reboot and this was for 10th time - I was really pissed off.
Ghrrrrrrrrrr, joy too soon .......
Just today, after actually normal activity - screen turned upside down, I was listen to the music on poweramp.
I have notices that the problem returned after installing terminal emulator. I of course don't know if this is related but screen started to switch upside-down after that. Will try to uninstall and reboot and will report.
hey guys i have the international version of the SGS3 it is non rooted and i have not fooled around with any custom firmware or anything running the stock firmware that came with the phone. It is just 12 days old. I have been facing very strange issues with the phone which are mentioned below, i tried contacting sammy support for help but the tech team was not available and they say that i will get a call back in 24hrs although i am quite sure all they will tell me is do a factory reset. My issues are
1) I am using the digital clock widget that came with the phone and it randomly freezes as in it stops at a certain time but the clock in the notification bar continues to work. I have to manually remove and place the widget again and it comes back with the correct time.
2) My home screen widgets start flashing on their own and i am unable to click on any widget, i have to restart the phone and it starts working again.
3) The led notification light starts blinking a wierd purple color all on its own even tho i have no notifications or anything on the phone again i need to restart the phone and it starts working, i tried installing Lite Flow lite to see if it solved the issue and with that installed the issue goes away but i would much prefer not having the software installed.
Any help from all of you guys would be appreciated. Also attached a screenshot of the 1st error.

For the time stuff i would maybe try reseting the time in settings and see if it helps. and also clear the cache for the digital clock in settings app, may also help.
as for the flashing and what not, i did see that before when i was flashing roms......figured it was a bad flash though, didnt think anything of it as it went away when i flashed my next Rom. would hate to tell you to to flash another Rom to fix your issue
have you dont factory reset in settings.....maybe that will clear it all up for you. i know you will have to redo your phone but if it fixes it then there you have it :cyclops:
the time issue has not happened in the last day, for the flashing part i am on the original firmware have not flashed any rom's was planning to flash omega but after i solve these issues.
My digital clock freezes over time as well...
ok so it seems to be an issue with the SGS3 only, are you using any custom firmware?
ok finally got a reply from sammy for
1) they say if u click on clear ram it will cause the digital clock widget to hang
2) for this issue they say restore factory setting
3) this is caused because the phone searches for signal and hence it blinks.
I'm stock, no root. I did factory reset and have not cleared RAM recently. My digital clock still tends to freeze.

I use beautiful widgets clock (paid version) (4x2), no freezes whatsoever.
Try to update to the latest firmware ^^ settings>About Phone>

I just updated my Galaxy S2 I9100 from CyanogenMod 11 to Resurrection-Remix-LP-v5.5.0 (and I am using the stock kernel). Almost everything works fine but now when I turn the flashlight on and then lock the screen, it automatically turns off the light after a couple seconds.
So I assume that something linked with the custom ROM or Android 5.1.1 makes the phone quickly turn into a state where the LED must be off. But this bug is quite annoying and I would like to be able to use the flashlight also with the screen off. Any idea of what would cause this issue and how to solve it?

This is a bug that has been reported before. The only solution I know of is to install a different flashlight app from the market

first problem that i don't know how to solve. i was searching but didn't find that problem or solution for it. so here it is.i make some test shaking app (random numbers). after few shakings ui dies. restarting it doesn't solve the issue. dead ui behaves like very slow opening status bar, very slow sim unlocking (and typing in that dialog too). apps are running ok. folder openning is ok. i tried to play with ambient display, live display, and similar display options but issue is still here. i tried to restart ui but issues stays. when this happened background become black. changing background...issues stays. playing (changing) with themes...issues stays. rebooting...soft...hard...you name it...issue is here.
this happened with Resurrection Remix MM latest version and with Beanstalk MM latest version.
i am not sure where is the problem. my app? device sensor? CM 13?
anyone have something like that?
new rom flash....no issues...until i run my app
and from time to time i get err dialog (working or not working) saying that UI stopped functioning, and then UI restart but issues stays...

So recently got the MIUI 12.5.1 as an OTA update and I was like, why not update? I immediately regretted it, the new version has way too many bugs.
Bugs and issues that I could find:
- Dark theme somehow got EVEN worse than last version. Messenger on dark theme is utterly broken: some messages white, others dark, others just completely vanish.
- Sharing a Discord image to Discord causes an infinite loop of sharing showing "Android System" (This whole personal/work sharing looks so stupid btw)
- Pop-up applications like Twitch can sometimes completely break and the only way to close them is to restart the device (My Twitch window got stuck on Force stop button so I couldn't even force stop it)
- Soft-key navigator buttons sometimes get stuck in their animation
I'll report if I get any more issues. I really don't recommend updating your Redmi 9 Prime.
Now I am thinking about either downgrading or just totally installing a new custom ROM (I'm kinda fed up with MIUI). Do you recommend I remain patient until they push a new update, downgrade, or install a custom ROM?

Same here mate. Tried factory reset. Fixed some of emm. Bt still no hope. Planning to downgrade my redmi 9 prime to 12.0.1 or sumtin were i was happy using it.
Bluetooth auto reconnects while playback (checked my bt earphones with other brand device, working fine once paired), app auto closes, phone hangs sometimes even when no heavy task is on background or foreground, auto skips to the next video on youtube while watching and countless other issues.
Am happy to try custom roms bt cant find any stable rom. Sugest me if there is any. Thank you.
My list of bugs in latest update :
- phone vibrate continuosly when powering on.
- auto brightness automatically sets the phone to 100% brightness when finishing calls.
- sometimes vibrate doesn't work in navigation bar.
I think Xiaomi software team won't even bother fixing all these bugs. Will all these be fixed in custom roms?

I've face BT disconnect issue.sometimes app from app drawer vanishes & come back after sometime.Battery backup is also terrible.
For me MIUI 11.0.9.0 QJCEUXM was the perfect version.I will go back to MIUI 11 ASAP.

I don't know if this happens also on redmi 9 prime, because my redmi 9 after updating to 12.5.4 wifi sometimes there is no connection so I have to turn off and turn on wifi again and I agree with your opinion that Dark theme is getting worse, I hope xiaomi soon to fix this
