hello everybody!
I'm a new here and I really need your help in some issue:
my files were deleted by accident when i did a wipe to my samsung fascinate after a rom changing. they were raelly important files (images and etc.) to me. is there any chance i could get those files back? sry about the english and thanks alot for the helpers
All your files should be on your SC card not your phone's memory....
yea i allready knew it, but the files are gone anyway! I got into the DCIM folder and the file were not there
Need more info, were you on a gingerbread rom? If so your sd card is about to get fried.
Keep me Fascinated.
ok so i was on community rom if I remember- then I changed to cm7 and it worked great even with the memory thing and i also had a titanium backup so I could recover the files anytime but suddenly it stopped to work! I couldnt activate the apk, which mean that I cant get my files back...I downloaded the apk again but there was no backup at all! and now I'm really stuck!
There you go, CM7 is a GB based rom.
Keep me Fascinated.

not sure if i got your question right but i think there is nothing ont the memory card when you get a virgin phone.
another question
i did not want to start a new topic to ask if someone knows how i can arange contacts by lastname...when i got the phone it was like that but after contact restore changed...thanks in advance
Norrie make your own folders and name them like they should be :video ,images ,music.
And don't worry about the rest the phone will take care of the rest ,and the apps that need folder they would make it.
Good luck
Oh yeah make a folder called ringtones and other one called alarms and one more called bluetooth and one more called download.
Hehe sorry for the foolishness :-D

This is not a development question. Please read the forum rules before posting.
Gingerblur deletes a bunch of stuff on install. I haven't looked at the newest release to see what, but previous releases formatted /system/app and /system/framework. Anything stored there would be blown away.
opps ok ill try moving it but thanks
I need help! Recently i have found ways to swap out internal and external sd card so i can download bigger games files on my phone. But i ended up partially bricking my phone! I have change my vold.fstab and after rebooting my phone, i went to access "My Files". But, the phone says "No SD Card Inserted". I tried to change it back but i found out that i forgot to backup the original vold.fstab. Now i can't even access it through my computer to change it back. I really need someone who is experience to help me out of this! I tried hard reset and factory reset. This is a new phone so i hope i don't have to get a hell out of beating from my mum.:crying:
P.S. i am using Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160 <Rooted>
If there is any other information you need about my phone please ask me and i will tell you. I really need to get this phone back up to normal.
Please feel free to PM me the solution or post it here to help others who is like me...
P.S. Just unrooted.

Extract a stock ROM of your device, and replace the void.fstab on your device with the one in the zip.
This should do it.

i rooted my phone then flash cm9 about month ago before that my internal sd memory was enough for me as i have some episodes and movies on and still got 4-5 gbs but now its only have 2.3gb free then i notice that titanium backup folder is about 700 mb and cynogen mod folder is about 1.7 Gb i wnated to know do have to keep these folder or i can simply copy them in my laptop and delete them from my phone.
do they create a problem or any kind of instability for rom or phone ? wanted to know before doing something.

Yes both titanium backup and Clockworkmod folder(if it's named Cyanogenmod I am not sure what it is) both are backups, Clockworkmod folder contains your rom backups and titanium backup contains your app backup, You can safely copy them to your computer and use them when needed and so you can remove them from your phone for extra storage space .
Using GT - I9100
I thank those who give helpful comments
I expect the same from others.
sorry yes foder name is Clockworkmod.. and thank u soo its mean removing them would not create any problem right. and why do i need my rom back (Clockworkmod folder) cm9 is working very fine
It was made by cm9 rom when first installing as a precaution.
If you are happy with your phone and don't believe you need it, you can erase it.
precaution for what?

If you tried out any other roms and failed or didn't like it you can easily return back to your cm9 rom If you created a backup in CWM, this is a very useful and important feature, CWM by default creates backup in Clockworkmod folder.
For example I installed a audio driver which was not very good as expected and after I removed it, the audio driver which I had before wasn't reverted and i virtually had no sound, because of a backup i had I just easily restored to my former situation before the driver installation, so in short its like a factory reset but along with the apps we installed.

Hello everyone. I am very new to rooting/flashing so bear with me.
I've been searching this site for answers all day and can't seem to find one.
I accidentally deleted the folder storage/emulated/0 on my rooted Verizon Galaxy S4.
What exactly was in the folder? Was it just media such as photos and music etc. or was there data that was necessary for the phone to operate correctly?
So far, the only thing I have noticed that has been deleted are pictures and music. My settings are still the same and my apps all work.
I just want to make sure I didn't delete anything that was needed.
If I did delete things that are needed, would I have to flash the original rom, and then re-root?
Or, could I just flash a new rom and forget about my deleted files?
That folder leads to the internal SD card of the device. No system files were harmed in the process.
