Yes this radio is not recommended to use, got problems like this one bar issue, it's a leaked radio.
Use this radio , the official radio from AT&T to GingerBread system :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1163009
But, i don't know about radio downgrade .. didn't try it .
So wait for someone to confirm that it is safe.
Thanks for the response not sure about downgrading either will wait for reply if I go for it ill post results

hey
i have been running an android build and several different custom roms on my hd2.
everything was great, then suddenly my audio was gone. i can hear phone calls, not any kind of media, notifications, etc. is gone. no tone even when using the dialer.
searched everywhere for a fix. nothing. even put a call into tmo for replacement...have recently flashed back to original ROM.
any ideas...because im not sure if my warranty is voided and i really dont feel like being charged for new device.
thanks in advance
android build: darkstone v3
win/mo: 3.14.531.0 wwe

where did you get your rom upgrade from?...from t mobile site or the one posted by xda member (i think, football ?)

will do.
gracias.
reflashed still no audio
flashed new ROM and new radio still no speaker audio works when headset is plugged in...hardware ??
Did you droped the phone recently or took a bath with it?
If so then it's a hardware problem..
Got an HD2 TIM (Telecom Italia Mobile) branded with ROM 1.72.901.1 and Radio 2.07.51.22_2. TIM lock was removed by someone else and first I installed Artemis 4.5 but it was really sluggish so I downloaded stock 3.14 version from HTC and installed it which brought the system back to regular Win with logo on top (Artemis had it at the bottom). ROM was
_HTCHD2_RUU_Leo_S_HTC_ITA_3.14.408.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship
What I noticed is that the radio is not what is on the above link but instead has remained the old one 2.07.51.22_2.
Shouldn't the ROM upgrade have changed the radio too with the new one (2.15.50.14 in this case)?
In either case Android on the SD card did not work and the phone gets stuck at the black screen with the really tiny lines of text. I tried a few of the major builds of Android with the same results.
Since Clearcad removes windows from memory the version of Windows should not matter and the only thing left is the radio but can it block the loading of Android or could it be the fact that it was a carrier (TIM) branded phone (can't really imagine that the carrier has had HTC make specific hardware mods to screw up changes to it)?
I have downloaded the 2.15.50.14 radio by itself but when I tried to install it the SSPL program tell me that it wants to replace the existing ROM 3.14 with this so I stopped. If I continue will the radio upgrade just replace the radio section or will it replace everything? Tried to look at other posts but everyone is different and couldn't find a situation similar to mine.
Any help is really appreciated.
Thanks
Paolo
Sounds like problem after problem mate!
For sure, you do need to upgrade the radio. 2.07.xxxxx is just too old. It needs to be at least 2.08.50 (not 51), but I would strongly recommend the one you talk about yourself (2.15.50).
Flashing just the radio will not erase anything on your phone. Only a ROM flash will do that.
i had the same problem running android on my hd2............then i update my radio version to 2.12 then it worked.........
Thanks
Thanks guys
I was afraid the radio might have been the culprit.
Given the info in my original post above can you tell me what I should do and which program I should use to flash the new radio trying to minimize the risk to brick the thing and should I re-install the ROM afterward ?
Why the ROM upgrade did not take care of the radio upgrade in the first place?

The ROM upgrade should have upgraded the radio at the same time. If it's not big deal to you, I'd flash the ROM again to see if it has any effect.
No changes
reinstalled official 3.14 but radio stays at 2.07.51.22_2
Still don't know what is the program to install new radio and if I risk bricking the phone doing it. It seems strange that it doesn't allow the upgrade from within the rom.
Now I need to look for rom 1.72.901.1 to go back to the origins.
Suggestions on best way to install new radio is appreciated.

As the thread title, does anyone know what the original Orange UK radio was? (The updated one which fixed call quality?)
I am using KevinPwhite's ROM but I still have call quality issues but this ROM uses 0300.76. I like the ROM though so I was going to cook my own Radio in however I have no idea what the original is! Ideally need the answer ASAP because the phone's warranty runs out soon
I am guessing it's 5000.167? Anyone confirm this?
Found it:
build 218765072
software version 5005.0001.76
radio version 5001.0001.76
N ow on to figure out how to remove the radio and replace!

Your guess is correct, 5001.76 is the radio version used on the orginal Orange ROM.
If you are going to replace the radio, 5001.0300.76 is the best radio to use in the UK if you ask me.
Instructions for changing radio can be found on here using tgtool which is quite straightforward.
Is anyone having issues with after rooting the Thunderbolt you lose the 4G LTE at the top and stuck with a 1X?
For some reason this is the second Thunderbolt and I'm having the same issues. If anyone can provide some feedback on this is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Check baseband. When I rooted mine from some reason it wiped my radio. Also make sure the back cover is on tight.
Did you just gain root, or did you also flash a rom? If you flashed a new rom you might need to find the right radio to work with that specific one. I'm new to this as well but what I've gathered from reading, Gingerbread based roms require gingerbread radios to be flashed as well. I think you need MR2 or newer to run with GB based Roms.
Yeah- if you root your Tbolt and are running froyo (which of course you would be unless you got the ota before it was pulled) and then you flash a GingerBread rom - you also have to flash a new radio. Flashing a rom does not change your radio. You have to flash the radio separate. And a GingerBread rom needs a compatible radio.
The latest radio is from the 2.11.605.3 ota. There is a radio thread in the development section. Sometimes they post the LTE radio and the cdma radio separate so you have to flash them both. You flash them in hboot. Not in cwr.
sorry if you knew all that already.
My phone's radio was 11.77.3504.00U_11.25.3504.06 and Hboot=1.53.......After i tried to S-off and downgrade hboot to 1.49.007....my phone radio is 10.53.9020.00U_10.13.9020.08 at the moment and it is working fine with my rom Viper3d R310. Also i live in asia Vietnam.
My question is should i update my phone's radio to 11.77.3504 or latest Radio firmware even though my phone is working very fine at the moment??? Will the radio be better if i update it to the up to date firmware? I tried Gangnam style Cm10 rom but the radio had Data drop...that is why i am thinking of updating my radio because i really want to use the rom if i can get the Data drop issue away....i think the issue is with my radio,,,,is this correct??? Someone please help me....
