I set my home page for my browser at Google.ca. Unfortunately, it always loads to the mobile site instead of the classic site. Is there anyway for the browser to load the classic page instead of the mobile site?
Thanks!

Don't set your homepage to google.ca.
Try setting it to http://www.google.ca/webhp?hl=en-GB&output=html&nomo=1

I have no clue why this thing wont let me surf in desktop mode. My home page is set to yahoo.com not m.yahoo.com and even then it pops up as mobile yahoo. Manyof the sites too that i open from desktop mode search open as mobile..... Its annoying. I have searched for a setting to default to desktop mode but cant find it. Any know if there is hope for me? How do i get around this?
In default browser, under advance settings. There is the select user agent

The user agent doesn't stick unless you're rooted, so I'm lead to believe. I'm using Dolphin which will let you select desktop from the settings.
Yeah, I use dolphin for pad and the settings stay in desktop. The stock launcher doesn't.

I have the stock on 10.1 so i guess thats an issue i just have to deal with. Im not about to root it or start modifying it, lol, i would do it wrong and for sure render it useless. Thanks.
Just install Dolphin browser from the market.

Is there a browser out there that will load www.sportselect.wclc.com/lists it has boxes for selecting games, but on my phone it won't load. Have tried skyfire in desktop mode, dolphin and stock.

Anybody know a way to stop the default browser from redirecting to market whether I type it in or tap a link?
Tap http://www.speedtest.net to see what I mean. Running stock RAZR.
Thanks

Use a browser that will allow you to change your user-agent and change your user agent to desktop.
(Not sure if the stock one does that)
I grabbed Opera Mobile and set it for desktop and it worked as expected. But would rather see the mobile sites sometimes. I guess google knows better than me what I want.

It's not Google, it's speedtest that's shutting you out of their site. Reminds me of forums that give you the annoying Tapatalk nag every time you bring up a page.
Some browsers have the "Request desktop site" option. This will take you to the actual page (most ICS browsers have it).
Say for example I go to ebay.com on the stock browser. I automatically get sent to the mobile site....on the bottom.of the page there is a link for the full site. If I click that link I get an error page saying something along the lines of "this page doesn't exist blah blah blah....." anyone else have this issue? Am I missing something?

http://www.ebay.com/?redirect=mobile
This should do it.
-Once you go NOTE, you'd say 4 inches a Joke
-iOS = inspiring Outdated Software
I've been using Chrome browser which gives you the option to see desktop sites and works flawlessly.

just use a different browser
Or everytime you open the browser type ABOUT:USERAGENT into the searchbar and press enter, now wait a second then you will get a popup. Choose DESKTOP and all sites will be desktop versions by default. If the browser is minimized you do not have to do this again but if it is closed you have to do it again.
Are those saved as images? Because when I try to use the 'search on page' function of the browser it does not find any letter. (Yeah I think it's obvious)
If so, any browser that lets you save it kinda like an offline html so the search function will work?

With opera browser mobile you can search in saved offline page
