sorry about my poor English
Hi mate,
You should be able to change screen brightness and screen timeout settings in Settings>Display
And USB Debugging is in Settings>Applications>Development
They are simple changes and you really don't need to save the settings off.

Is there a way to disable it? Ive read of cabs to permanently switch it on, but I want to turn them off permanently so that they do not remain on when I boot into android. Thanks
which rom are you using ? does it have a "keypadLedControl.exe" or sumthing similar in your windows\startup folder ? if yes, delete it. will go to default and turn off keypad light after 10 sec.
Disable it on Windows shouldn't change anything in Android... You may look a Kernel who doesn't active them!

first welcome on xda.
Secondly with some more information it was easilyer to help, but here we go.
mostly themes are package in a cab file, so you download it, copied it to your Sd where ever you will, navigate with your explorer (from your device) tho the path on your sd where you storage the cab file, press on the cab file you will install. You will see a new window open who ask the installation path. select internal memory (do always this fore themes/skins) after installation do a quick restart of device and that's it.
about the wallpaper, go to the setting tab, select background & wallpaper, navigate to the image you would, and select it. that's all.
if you will have a wallpaper fore each tab make use if CHT
in case of something isn't clear contact us again, and give some more information about what you will and problems you have.

I see what you mean, it's because you remove the CHT there is a parameter who isn't present now.
Tree way's to restore.
- Restore CHT
- Install bg4all or hq wall patch.
- soft reset
I recommended the first option.
AFAIK we must using the sideloading .apk to popup the hidden settings @ NT and then choose the USB debugging options there, but we must redo it every reboot if need ADB access.
How can we set USB debugging as deafult? change settings.sql database?
and it'll be very good if we can access the whole hidden settings option as well . Pls share your experience!
Many Thanks
The easiest way to toggle usb debugging is to use either the tgps app to run and access the menu or use a custom shortcut button directly to the settings menu to toggle it every time. To actually change things in the nook code to fit our every need requires a ton of annoying trial and error hacking. Most people are just patiently waiting for the boot signature bypass so we can just push over a custom rom that has all this done already.

Pls share the a custom shortcut button directly to the settings menu, MY LORD!!!
The app anycut is a great one that will create a customized shortcut to any place in your settings.
Check it out here:
(Android Market)

i think widgetzoid has an option to create an usb debug on/off widget.

Thanks all,
I found this on the Arc Thread, but what i wanna know is just, how to get my Neo V in deepsleep mode, but i cant find the line with that, this is standing there, so if someone knows it.
Bug
1. Lag (menu, animations)
2. Battery Issue
3. Offline Charging not working
as far as I know those are the main bugs.
Debug
1. Go to Settings --> Developer Option --> Window animation scale & Transition animation scale --> "set .5x"
This Reduce lags 98%
2.1 Go to Settings --> Developer Option --> Background Process Limits --> set "No background Process"
2.2 check ur build.prop, if there is a line 'persist.rildenabled' delete that line
This makes phone to be in deep sleep and increases the battery life
3. If u use cwm, probably it is clashing wit offline charging? Solution download the below chargemon and owerite in system/bin, please note you will loose ur cwm recovery.
Note : If you listen to music, make sure to stop it from apps.
Sorry if i post this thread but i need a solution.
For those of you who's carriers have disabled the Guest mode and Multiple Users mode you can easily turn it back on provided your phone IS rooted and you're capable of editing the build.prop file in the /system folder.. This feature comes in handy when your family or friends want to use your phone and you don't want them to be snooping through your stuff! Add this to your build.prop file
#
# Multi-Users
#
fw.max_users=3
fw.show_multiuserui=1
And then reboot the phone and upon turning back on swipe down from the top quick settings and you'll see a new option (circle picture) next to the system icon gear.. Tap that and check it out..
As always, make sure you make a backup first since you never know if anything could possibly go wrong!
I have the unlocked Note. Is guest mode disabled on the unlocked version? Or do I need to root to enable it? Thanks!

You should be able to see a picture right next to the system icon gear in the quick settings menu. If you can't tap on it then you don't have it and the only way I know of to get it is with root access to change the build.prop file.
No Icon visible
Hello. My Note8 is rooted. After changing Build.prob, I can add users, but not switch. The Icon in Task bar is missing. I checked the Build.prob. entrys. They are correct. Any help?
