Welcome to my thread, i believe dr.notor has also create a thread about this... But this one is based on picture guide...
So let's get started!!!
Credits to:
-dr.notor (For the links and some pictures)
Requirements:
-Windows
-LG Drivers
-ADB ( Don't know need this, but just incase )
-Baseband files
Baseband files are included here by dr.notor
For Official LG Gingerbread 2.3.3, Custom ROMS (like, openOptimus v2.202.1, AGA-ROM, GingerLOL) Download P500-v20G-baseband.7z
For Non-Ginger ROMS (CyanogenMod 7.1, Andy572's ROM) or Froyo... Download P500-v10E-baseband.7z
Download here!
If u wanna follow his thread, go there... But still you want my guide, stay here and download the .7z files...
Now here we go!!!
First Step
1. Extract the files and you must have this stuffs...

}
2. Extract into a folder.
3. Connect your phone to PC.
(REMINDER) Do disable temporary of the LG USB Modem in device manager...
4. Open LGMDPv1.5.exe
5. Select Port
6. Select your phone and connect...
7. Browse the folder you created... Select the folder... And open...
8. Once done, the application will prompt some ****ty errors, ignore it and press OK.
9. Once done, close the selection, don't touch anything else...
10. Press Download.
ATTENTION!!!
Once you press 'Download' button, please remember, DO NOT INTERRUPT OR DISCONNECT/UNPLUG YOUR PHONE WHEN UPGRADING OF THE BASEBAND! It will only done when it shows 'Download Complete'. The application will first backup your NV2 ( IMEI, Serial n such), then it will prompt like this:
Do not touch your phone or pc and get a stable USB cable, don't use broken USB cables (not like disconnects by itself...). It will automatically connects....
After NV2 Backup it will shows the flashing of baseband (Amss, amsshd).Once done it will ask for NV2 Restore, do the same thing and wait...
Then this... Once restored, it will automatically reboots and shows 'Download Complete', that... YOU ARE DONE!!! AND IS A SUCCESS

Turn the phone upside down before following the guide!!!
Or follow my alternative guide, 110% fool-proof!!!
0a: Upgrade baseband: Go to LG service center. Tell them that your current firmware sucks and ask them to flash official GB.
0b. Downgrade baseband: Go to LG service center. Tell them that your current firmware sucks and ask them to flash official Froyo.
Important note: In case you ask them to flash a ROM that you already have, you will look like an idiot. But your phone will not be bricked anyway.

Does baseband affects call quality and signal strength??

Before the update I was always in 2G and now I'm most of times in 3G...

Though I am a noob, I believe there is!
I tried both basebands. In my device there is a major difference in signal strength and quality of calls.New baseband is better.
Though the difference was only with the one of the two carriers I am subscribed!
The second had no difference.
(Cosmote GR signal drastically improved with new baseband,Wind Gr there is no major difference but has better reception anyway)

Q: I flashed rom and GSM don't works. What's to do?
Q: I have new baseband, how fix gsm? (you have new baseband if you upgraded your phone to official 2.3.3)
A: Flash this: gsm fix (support for new baseband, this is not baseband itself).

From your signature I assume you're using Mik_os's CM7 port? Correct me, if I'm wrong.
If that is the case, get rid of the fix, slap on the old baseband with lgmdp and you're done! Mik_os's ROM uses the old baseband, not the new one (the Rom isn't based on the official 2.3.3).

Mik_os's baseband fix is only for his ROM and non other!! Because his rom is not based on the official GB, he doesn't support the new baseband. He uses the old one. I suggest you get rid of the fix!

A few days ago LG released an official update for LG Optimus One P500 which allowed the users to update to Gingerbread 2.3.3.
needless to say that i have done so myself and enjoying every moment of it.
What i did apart from that was to extract the whole ROM that was being downloaded. I have seen the Russsian ROM that was leaked but didnt want to take the risk as LG official update was on its way.
So, here i am, posting for the first time in this site which has helped me a lot with my Optimus One.
I have uploaded the Stock Gingerbread 2.3.3 Rom (.kdz format) for LG Optimus One P500 and you can download it from here and flash it onto your Optimus One if you would like to do so.
ROM details are in the following snapshot :

This ROM cannot be rooted as easily as the Froyo counterpart (i.e. with Apps like Gingerbreak, Z4Root, etc) but can be done quite easily by following this tutorial. Just make sure that you read and follow the instructions to the word.

Smokin the whiff of gingerbread if u'd b so interested, but i think u should be aware of the fact that firmware updates are not always (and mostly so) available in all the countries at the same time. rather it varies greatly in the same country also. i got my update almost a couple of weeks after other people from other cities in my India itself had got it.
and moreover, i didnt intend to write this post so that i could be in time for others to update their Optimus one.
just wanted to give others an option of updating/switching/trying the official stock gingerbread rom, especially the ones who either use custom ROMS or haven't been able to update yet.
its just an option, not a regulation. so chill!!!
Hi,
Thanks, just in case somebody comes across this thread. This ROM works with with my LG P500 (Philippines locked with Globe).
Cheers for the share!

I purchased my p500 in Canada using the default Canadian ROM.
I would like Chinese UI on it, and was wondering if I can flash it with HK/Taiwan ROM?
Will that screw up the Radio band etc.? Thanks
hey admin and all members,
can u pls tell me if i can install windows 7 phone in my lg optimus one
I understand that it can be done, but only by way of upgrade from Win Mobile 6.5.
If you search www.megaupload.com, you may find the link to the relevant win6-5.dz and win7.dz files. You'll need to have root first.
Let us all know how you get on!
Stop trolling, please. @ca.sachin it can't be done.

Damn link dead,
So which one is currently the latest stock gingerbread rom version we can download (20g, h) and does anyone knows
what was it's release date?
actually, is there any chance to find out release date of each stock gb rom version?
Hi,
I just purchased the i9100 from someone today and I'm pretty sure that it's rooted. I checked the kernal and it is (2.6.35.7-RAGEmod-U1-v1.1b).
Can anyone please point me in the right direction? Also which files would I need? Do I need to use a USB jig?
I have no idea what I'm doing, there is someone on kijiji (local selling/buying site) that says they will flash it back for me for $100, should I just do that?
Thanks everyone!
not sure what you would do, but what i am CERTAIN about is do not pay 100 bucks... just go to the dev section and read up there.. factory reset (turn phone off, hold volume up, power and home keys simultaneously)
Sorry I wasn't being more specific, but what I wanted to do is unroot the phone. When my phone powers on I get a GR check rom boot logo?

Just unrooting the phone should work with SuperOneClick (download to your PC, enable USB debugging on the phone, connect it to the PC and click on the big "unroot" button. If you are running some custom ROM you want to here rid of you will have to flash complete new clean software from Samsung.
But to the missing features: you said you have an older Galaxy S1, oder course there are other (better) apps and a totally new software on the successor, the SGS2.

Yes that's a custom rom, checkrom v5, go to the stock rom thread, pick an upto date rom, ki8 is the newest.
Flash using odin, guide is also in the thread.
That's the only way to remove a custom rom and kernel and restore the removed apps.

You are on a custom rom or a modified stock rom for shure. If you want to get back to stock then you have a thread in the development section that hosts all the stock roms or are links to them at least. Flashing a stock rom will also unroot you phone.
Now as for the flashing part you need to read the stickies search for a youtube video before you do it. You need to understand that flashing has its risks. Although I flashed my phones at least 50 times and never bricked any of them so far you still need to be warned. Its not complicated at all but you need to understand the basic steps. Good luck.

Thanks to the both of you! I will try this now!
Everything worked out! Thanks again everyone!
Return to stock, no PC required!
Safe to return to store, no root left over, 0 flash counter.
Do not do this with low battery!
This is for those that have a broken USB port.
Plug it in if your charger works, or borrow/buy a battery with full charge.
1. Download Mobile Odin Lite (Download) or Pro (Market)

Check MD5: 6da05426d720ab7a1d068b81a27a6d86
3. Open Mobile Odin > select Open File... > I777UCKH7.tar
4. Scroll down to FLASH FIRMWARE

I used this yesterday and am STILL amazed at how well this worked - and moreso how easy this process was. It cleared the yellow triangle and everything. No shell scripts, dos prompts, or anything of that nature. In fact 15min in an AT&T store with wifi is all it took! Kudos to you guys

Stock AT&T Gingerbread, we do not have official ICS yet.
Mobile-Odin basically uses all the same files but its already in the .tar so no need to split them up.

Yes you can use KIES for updating, if there ever is one in the phone's lifetime.
This is for the AT&T Galaxy S2 - i777, just making sure you have the same one.
Flashing this on International gs2 i9100 can probably do some horrible things to your phone.

Can anyone confirm that this does not flash/reflash boot-loaders?

When you open and run mobile Odin it says it never flashes boot loaders. And looking at the screenshots you will not see anything about boot loaders in it either. I have used mobile Odin in the past when flashing i9100 rooms and didn't want the boot loaders. So NO it won't flash boot loaders ever.

How did you do it? I have the problem now
I went to a Lab
Apparently, bc's i (maybe) made the flashing not like the op stated - the EMMC flash part in processor was damaged.
I paid more then 100$ to replace it.
The wierd thing: i still have Build KVT49L.LS990ZV4 in my settings (software information) But acually don't think i really on this rom(!!!)

So happy to meet U here.
I downloaded what supposed 2be this Rom and i had a ciritical issu that finished with harming the Flash part of the processor.
I remember 2many users complained about an issues after flash it.
I'm affraid that something with the OP tut is not clear.
We all need 2remember that most of us do not read fluent english.
I made in the past on a several devices Root & Rom flashing via TRWP without any issue.
I supposed 2know this...but in that Rom combine with that thus is my 1st on the G3 & that i am using the LS990 on a GSM/LTE out of u.s ---> it make it harder 4me.
So yes - i do need a good explanation on how to install this rom, how to setup everything.
I will need the explanation as you show a 4 years old kid how to count to 10.
Thank you very much!
