ok so heres the dealio. i have flashed my phone plenty of times before from the old 1.6 android to 2.2 now 2.2.3 which all worked fine. I recently tried using a different stock rom and ever since i installed the update.zip using xrecovery i am unable to mount my sdcard from xrecovery and everytime the sony ericsson logo appears my phone just locks. Flashtool reads it and says Busybox installed and everything but nothing on the phone. Im now out of ideas, i can install different roms using xrecovery but none of them load up. Any help would be much appreciated!
Try flashing back to stock 2.1 or 2.3 via flashtool. It works every time.

I installed Beta4 FreeX10, everything works ok, Market finds application, I give the order to install and Market does not download anything at all, remains in initiating downloads. Now I can not even install a file browser ... I returned to the factory ROM but the problem persists.
try my tutorial ^^

If things get stuck at downloading its normally a problem at goods end not yours. Have you tried going to settings/manage applications/all applications/market and clean clear the cache and force close it and then rebooting to solve your problem. This works most of the time

Yes, i tried.
- Begin with my X10 in 2.0.2.A.0.24
- I installed first the baseband with your "Baseband 2.1.54, A beginners guide for x10I / x10a"
- BusyBox and xRecovery installed an works ok.
- Flash Beta4 with xRe3covery and all ok, except by this problem with market.
- Restore full backup and the Oficial ROM works ok, except again with market.
- Recovery with SE PC Companion, and all works except by Market. Curiosly... xRecovery doesn't work (Back key after Sony Ericson logo), it's possible that PC Companion erase it.
- I flash the ROM X10i_2_0_A_0_504_GLOBAL
- With SuperOneClick, i rooted again my X10
- With FlashTool, install BusyBox and xRecovery (by Advanced), but xRecovery don't load.
- At this moment, i have a X10 with:
Model: X10i
Firmware: 2.1-update1
Baseband: 2.0.46
Kernel: 2.6.29 [email protected]#1
Build Number: 2.0.A.0.504
Without any posibility of install any app!!! My X10 return to a single Nokia 1100 state
You need to root your device with the flash tool and install xrecovery with it too and then go back to my guide

Same problem occurs with me...but solved after changing network operator. I have two sims, works fine on one and does't download on another. I think its network setting problem.

I have the same problem with the old market. To install anything you just have to wait, after a while you will see selected app downloading and installing. If it takes more then 4 minutes just cancel your download, start it again and wait. That's why i have to use new market.

I had the same problem, it's an issue of baseband. You just have to install new baseband (2.1.54) using flasher(not sure if it's the right name of this program). If you want to install new rom, you won't be able to recovery the old android 2.1 because the old baseband is not available on the internet. Think about that! Because it's akready to late for me

When I installed 1.0.63, there was no radio signal. This includes all wireless connections. I flashed my X10 to bb .49. How do i correct it?
Dev tools > bad behavior > crash the system server

I've tried that more than 5 times already. It still doesn't work. However, when I checked, the bb version said unknown. Is there something wrong? I flashed using FlashTool.

Did you factory reset, cache wipe, daviccache wipe, batterystatuswipe before flash rom?
Attempt flashing the the basebrand via flashtool again, then flash the ROM again. Once you do all that "crash system server" again.
Or you can try bb52 like me. It works without any probs.

Install fresh 2.1 via SEUS.
Flash bb 49
install MIUI

1) are you on the right baseband
2) have you done a full wipe through xrecovery -cache,dalvik,battery stats
3) have you installed busybox
4) have you even got xrecovery
And the list could go on. So look at what i said and check everything because if both those roms didnt work, you must be the problem not doing it right

Hello yes I installed busybox and xrecovery. I went into xrecovery by pressing the back button at the startscreen. I wiped my phone to factory setting. Wiped my cache, dalvik and battery stats. After that I installed a new rom through SD and I rebooted. But after 10 seconds it freezes and reboots.
Ive used my recovery to go back to fw 2.1 What am I doing wrong? The baseband (54) was right,
What's the ROM are you on? And what baseband? That will help us solve your problem.

im running the 2.2
You need baseband .54. Which you need flashtool to do so. You know how to do that right?
That's why it keeps rebooting.

it worked for me. I wiped my phone including Dalvik and battery. Thanks guys
Okay last week i use the superoneclick method to root my device, and have since been reading up on installing roms etc etc.
so i followed a tutorial that got me to instal busybox then xrecovery, i backed up the system before installing Bitsnacker 2.1, when it installed it started just fine, however when i opened my browser it would not close, so i rebooted the phone, it started just fine but my home screen was inexistant, it was completely black. so i figured another reboot was in order, this time i used xrecovery to reboot the phone, this just caused the phone to boot infinitely.
so i reinstaled Bitsnacker 2.1from scratch, its now working fine again, however my phone will not transmit any data, it cant connect using 3g or anything so im having to use my wifi, which is fine apart from when im out and about.
so is there nything i can do to fix this or is this a known bug in the rom? ( i couldnt find anything in the thread for Bitsnacker 2.1)
Did you wipe everything in xrecovery before you flashed the bitsnacker ROM?
Do you have the .54 baseband?
Sent from my Atrix 4G with XDA Premium App
no i didnt wipe everything, yeah i do have the .54 baseband.
the second install is still working well and is very stable anyway

If it happens again, wipe everything with xrecovery then reflash the ROM.

Hiya guys,
I use XDA Developers a lot but it seems that I have f***ed up my phone. I wanted to go back to stock rom from CM 7.2, but Sony PC Companion didn't recongize my phone, so I decided to do it manually. While trying to do it, on flash tools I clicked on the wrong kernel and re-locked the boot loader without getting rid of CM7.
Now... here is the problem. I have tried to restore the phone via Sony PC Companion but it says something about no updates for my phone even though I clicked on repair, but it also doesn't recognize it as a X10i (just says Sony / Sony Ericsson phone). And I tried to fix it using Flashtools (different versions) but it still doesn't work...
Anyone able to help me. I would really really be grateful as I am using a O2 XDA Steller at the moment and its proper sh*t :S
I had the same problem, so I did RESTORE in my RECOVERY and then everything worked out. and I flashed different kernels to use recoveries to see where was my backup
