This will not work by default in stock. You have to change one binary value in bools.xml in framework-res.apk and then edit build.prop.Follow this tutorial and then edit build.prop.

Did you use apktool to edit the values, put resources.arsc in the original and then copied modified framework-res.apk into the /system/framework/framework-res.apk ? Was it copied there? If not check that root explorer is mounted in read/write mode.Same for build.prop.I think you didn't copy it.

You had to set permisssions after copying framework-res.apk -rw -r -r.same with build.prop
With CRT animation enabled, you will lose your samsung boot screen in stock kph....I have managed to enable boot screen animation only through cf-root kernel.I don't have coderom but crt is enabled through this method and have brought custom boot animation through cf-root kernel.
Hello guys, i cant flash zip files for battery mod on KF2 that used to work on KF7. can anyone tell me why isnt it working on KF2 ? and how to make it work? i have crt effect but i cant get the battery mod working
Hello,
I have the same problem.
To change the CRT animation, you have to modify the framework-res.apk file.
The same file is edited when you change the battery icon, so the former changes are always overwritten.
I don't know how to do. It seems that you can enable the CRT animation just by editing one of the file in the framework-res APK. But I can't find this file in the archive (bools.xml).
If anyone has some tips, please share them.

dude i can upload my framework-res.apk if you want, coz i have the CRT animation on my [email protected]
Thank you, I already have it too. What is missing is the battery mod, because if I flash a zip file then the CRT animation would disappear.

if the CRT animation is the only thing that goes away while the battery mod doesn't work, u r lucky coz for me i get loads of FC's if i do that. and then i have to flash the rom again.. im on stock KF2 btw n u? n by any chance have u tried UOT Kitchen?
I'm on Villain ROM 2.0 with XXKG1. I do not get any FCs, though. The latter modification just cancels the former.
And yes, every battery mod I made was done with UOT.

If you are in Download Mode and getting the Signature related error then you probably didn't flash the ZImage from the rooted kernel after flashing to stock/Samsung signed kernel to get rid of the Yellow triangle. So flash it, the ZImage from SD card.
Regards.

Hi All,
I had flashed the bootanimation from the Nexus Prime on my X10i and it was working fine. But now I am not able to change the bootanimation by any means and am stuck with the Nexus boot animation.
I have tried flashing the stock bootanimation.zip through xrecovery, as well as tried replacing the file manually, but once i reboot, the phone reverts to the old boot animation.
How can i chnage by boot animation now???

Wrong section, Post your questions in Q & A section
Anyways go to /data/local & delete bootanimation.zip if there's any, then go to /system/media & delete bootanimation.zip if there's any, Then flash the new boot animation that you want
Did I mention wrong section?
Use root explorer or any file manager which can access root files, manually delete the bootanimation from systems/media and replace it with your file.

Ok, so there this copy of the old bootanimation.zip in /data/local - deleting that copy did the trick for me. Thanks!
Hey Everyone
I've put together/created this MGS mod/theme or whatever you would like to call it for my WT19i.

MGS Alert noise notification
Codec Lock/Unlock sounds
MGS Game Over Shutdown MP4 with sound (ShutDownAnimation.APK included if needed)
MGS menu Touch sounds

1. Make a backup of all files just in case(or a nandroid backup)
2. Place Effect_Tick.ogg, Lock.ogg, Unlock.ogg in "system/media/audio/ui" folder and set permissions
3. Place MGS codec.mp3 in "system/media/audio/ringtones" folder and set permissions
4. Place MGS found.mp3 in "system/media/audio/notifications" folder and set permissions
5. Place either of the Konami boot animations in "system/media" folder, rename to "bootanimation" and set permissions
6. Place shutdown.mp4 in "system/etc/customization/content/com/sonyericsson/shutdownanim" folder and set permissions

The flashable zip (walkman + foxhound) doesn't work for me (arvarobert's one works without any problem). It gives a ''cant open zip file (bad)'' error. I've extracted the boot animation and pushed it manually, works like a charm. I'm using xperia mini + rage kernel. Also are you planning on making a version without the walkman logo (only foxhound)?

I apologize Grof87,
I hope I didn't screw up your phone or anyone else's
Flashables removed for now, I guess I don't know how to make them properly(still a noob)
But yes I can do Foxhound only, I have to go to work right now but I'll make it once I get out.
Once again, sorry for the trouble.

Unfortunately it's not working, it gives a black screen with no music during boot (phone boots up normally), I've placed the file in system/media nad set the permissions to rw--r--r, foxhound with walkman works without a problem. Can you look into it?
EDIT: I've just flashed walkamn+foxhound thru CWM and it's giving me a simple ANDROID boot up animation??
EDIT2: Tried using the boot animation from your manual install zip (fox+walkman, fox only isn't working) and it's working perfectly, there's something wrong with those flashable zips
That's weird. I got those zips from arvarobert's links all I did was rename them and reupload. Let me test everything and try to get this straightened out
EDIT: Those zip were corrupted when i opened them with winrar, I will upload the proper ones soon

Ok So I went through and checked(checked for corrupted and installed through CWM) every file and re-uploaded them with proper ones.
I've also made the Foxhound only flashable.
There should be no more problems, Grof87 I really appreciate the feedback and your patience.(Now hopefully you can enjoy that boot animation that I promised you finally lol)
