Hi. Can someone show me the webtop hack page which works on a Bell Atrix with Gingerbread? My Build number is 4.5.2A. Also, if I just flash the Alien ROM it has the webtop hack already so I could just get it that way if anything? Thanks!

Is anyone out there using root tools by jrummy? I'm on rooted gb and every time I try to change something it gives me the error and says im not rooted. Anyone deal with this before or any help?
I AM rooted.
Also does the system recovery app work with rooted gb?

Yep, works fine here. Go into SU, clear the allow privileges for it, and try again.
System recovery app works the exact same. Make sure you plug into wall charger first and hit "install", then enter recovery the same as we did on froyo.

Sounds like you updated to gingerbread using motorola method.
You should look at that thread for sbf to 2.2 and using p3's gingerbread. That's the only way to get gb and maintain root access at the same time.
Still doesn't work but untested absolute does so its all good.

stupid question, i'm on p3's rooted stock un-deodexed gingerbread rom. can i use uot and jrummy's root tools or do i need a deodexed rom?
I am currently running alien rom v2 and I am trying to use the webtop over hdmi but I just can't get it to work. When I look at my phones info under about phone it says webtop version unavailable. Not sure if that's right? When I plug into my plasma tv it brings up the menu for choosing either webtop or entertainment center but when I click webtop nothing happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I've just updated to 2.3.4 on the Alien3 Rom. The webtop doesn't seem to be working at all. Can someone post just the Webtop application so I can reinstall it. I wanna make sure that I've got everything correct. I can't want video from.my phone onto a TV anymore. Thanks for the help.

This ROM doesn't modify the Webtop's partition. You'll need to install the Webtop from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1169457
This ROM already has HDMI-to-Webtop MOD from "_unknown" installed.

Hello, i have atrix from at&t unlocked. i rooted it now its on 4.1.57 ATT.en.US
i did the webtop mod and also i changed the start screen with the nvidia pic and sound from xda. I read that in order to update to ginger u must undo the webtop mod, and i did that and also i puted the original start screen from at&t but i still receive the orange triangle when i try to update... can anyone please help me check what im doing wrong? i CANT los the data and the contcats, i also am newbie... i just followed your guides and so far i succeded but im stuck... so thanks in advance
You are going to have to run the update from your computer... using the motorola update tool... I had the same issue and that the only way i could do it... a quick google search will get u up and running...

it doesnt matter if i havent installed the last update before gingerbread? would it erase the data? u wouldn't have the link would u?
No u wont lose any data... and as far as the link goes.. i googled it and found it it should not be that hard..

I buy a atrix this week, and installed the cm10 rom by epinter. I have done some searches in site, but i haven't found nothing about install webtop in this rom. There is something to do, to make webtop run in this rom?
Nope but you can set the dpi to 120 which will change it to tablet mode and then use it there's a tutorial a few threads below
