Hi all
On my Mozart, callers voice sounds (i dont even know correct term in english)
metallic, tinny, crackling, vibrating. it's very annoing. This problem disappears sometimes, but on most calls its present.
Is this a HW or SW problem?
Any ideas?
Best regards;
Meelis
Hello MeelisL,
Did you ever find out what was the problem?
My phone started doing the same for the past week.
Thank you
Alyrian
me to
hope someone knows something
Had this on other phones and it always was due to a hardware issue which should be fixed from HTC or from your provider if you bought it there.
Solved the problem by changing the receiver myself.
Receiver spare part can be found on ebay as well as some tools to dismantle the phone, then I followed a youtube video on how to dismantle the HTC Mozart 7.
Now no more problems, I can hear perfectly.

hi community,
i have a very serious problem with the MDA I i bought over e-bay. I am totaly confused and i have completely NO idea what the source of this problem could be. You ARE my last hope !
The problem ist the following: all sounds on the MDA including the video streaming are somehow corrupted. At first (after a hardreset and even a rom update to ppc 2003 t-mobile germany) all sounds are very slow and deep. Then -in some kind of magic ways- as time passes the sounds are played always a little faster and faster. After 3 days or so the sounds are played constantly much too fast (mickey-mouse-effect). The same thing happens, when i record a notice with my own voice. If i use the telephone i can hear voices completely normal. So i really think, that it must be a hardware issue. Probably is the sound on the motherboard defect?
Or can really be a software issue and what could i try then ? As said i already tried numbers of hard- and softresets and have also flashed the rom with always the official t mobile updates. Can you help me ?
Yeap must be a hardware issue then!
Dear all, my Dell Streak phone speaker is not working. But if i turn on the loud speaker or attach bluetooth/hands free device works well.
I already tried to replace the recovery & rom with stock 322, 345, DJ Steve 1.7.0, 1.9.0, but non of it solve the problem.
Is it due to software problem or hardware problem? How can i check it?
FYI, my DS is never fall to the ground and water.
Can anyone help this poor man?
Thanks before.
Hi Marketblack,
same problem with me, because of my loyalty to DELL STREAK,until now i'm still using DS eventhough every outgoing call or receive call use loadspeaker.
Sometimes my speaker back to normal but that conditions temporary only

Wow, I am almost afraid to root my Streak if this type of issue might occur.
so what should i do rico???
if i've return back to DS service centre at my country, it takes 14 days to repair
Same problem for me.Suddenly stopped working.Only external speaker and hands free works.i have 2.2.2 and the device is with factory settings since i am not familiar with root/flash techniques. If someone knows something about how to fix it it would be nice.In any case,i have already ordered a bluetooth set
I just got my second Dell Streak today. it was shipped to me as 2.2...i ve put my sim, battery and charger and it has asked me to update. now i got 2.2.2. I have tried to make a phone call but, as the same for you guys, my earpiece is not working. BT and speaker phone works well though...
The first streak i had wasnt great either. it always displayed "please send dsp.crash.img to RD" right after an FC on an app that uses sound...this only happens when sounds are used. apps that do not have sound, like browser and messaging, do not trigger the FC. im not sure if you have experienced this too, i hope not.
i think im just not lucky with streaks... im not sure if my warranty will cover a third replacement...
with the second streak problem, im thinking maybe its a hardware fault? like the contacts in the earpiece are loose from the circuit board... i would have done this already if i wasnt afraid of losing my warranty..
it would be great of someone at xda can come up with a solution.
Hello to everyone and have a happy new year,
i bought a Jiayu G4 phone a month ago and i face a problem in calling. When i am on a phone call, the person to the other side of the call hears a noise. This noise, to help you understand, it's similar to the sound that a TV or THE SPEAKERS do when you put a mobile phone near them. This is very annoying and i can't explain why it happens. Now, in order to make the things better till i'll find a solution, i bought a bluetooth. The problem whem i'm using it, is that the person to the other side of the call can't hear me correctly. To help you understand, my voice it's like a robot's voice and it's not quite loud. Does anyone have an idea how to face that?
Thanks a lot

Do you find a solution? I have the same problem with my g4s
I bought one of these models (EU version) 3 days ago and everyone complains about the sound of my phone. It seems that the voice is cut or distorted .:crying:
I am on a second unit because I thought this was a problem with the first unit but it seems to be a problem coming from the factory.
Does anyone have such an experience?
If changing the phone doesn't solve the problem what would you suggest me to do?
I believe this problem is related to the type of speaker that samsung chose for this handset, I have the same problem with calling. This sound is far from satisfactory.
Hi all, I got this phone a few weeks ago and overall it is very nice phone. But I started noticing an issue with the ear speaker (the top speaker) for the last 3-4 days. I think after about a day of use the ear speaker stops working completely! So when I answer a phone call I cannot hear the other person unless I turn on speaker mode. I cannot hear stereo sound for multimedia such as videos or music and only the bottom speaker works. This gets fixed after I restart the phone. So it sounds like a stupid software issue of some kind! Why is this happening? Has anyone else experienced this issue? How do I fix this?
This sounds like a hardware problem. I have never experienced anything like that. I'd ask for a replacement from where you bought it or send it to warranty services.
How is that a hardware problem? It sounds like a software problem because after rebooting the speaker works 100% without any issues. If it is a hardware issue it should stop working even if I restart the phone. This is a classic case of crappy software that gets into a bad state and gets fixed when you turn it off and on again! And so Samsung should be able to fix it by fixing their software. I do not have to get a replacement or warranty for a brand new device!

Hardware problems include SoC defects that can cause issues like the one you're describing. For example, some old Intel processors had a bug that only happened when you ran a specific set of instructions, but the issue occured because there was a fault in the hardware at a micro-scale level. Software issues usually affect more users, and this is the first time I've heard of it. Obviously I can't say for sure if this is the problem.
Warranties exist exactly for this purpose: to correct manufacturing defects that are not caught by quality control.
This is a brand new phone so who knows how wide spread the issue is. Of course this is the first report of it in this very new forum as well. I highly doubt an issue in the SoC is going to cause a problem in a speaker. The sort of bug you are describing was an issue with the Intel floating point processor bug causing problems in calculations. This is a very clear cut issue of the software deciding to stop using the speaker at a random point. So I am not buying your argument that it is a hardware issue. And software issues can also be random and effect a small group of people. I have enough experience writing software to realize that such obscure bugs can also be software issues.
But arguing whether it is a software or hardware issue is not the point. I want to know if more people are experiencing this on this phone or even previous Samsung devices to get an idea as to what the problem is.

Also I have seen some other people complain about very similar issues with both the A52 5G and the A51 recently on the official Samsung forums. So to me it seems like crappy software.
Just get it replaced/repaired under warranty.
submit an error report via samsung members app if it happens again
have you tried it in the safe mode? or try to go into *#0*# and test the speaker
Clear system cache.
Do a hard reboot (not a factory reset!!!*)
Disable all power management; it's well known for causing erratic behavior.
*although a factory reset may initially fix this issue it will most likely return.
Find the root cause... play with it.
did u resolve problem witth speaker? on samusng community towsnads ppl have the same issues \
A52 Ear Speaker Issue
Hello, Do any of the A52 5G owners face issue with the ear speaker being bad quality? I have this issue on a brand new phone. When going in *#0*# I can test the ear speaker only and it has bad buzzing noise like a faulty speaker. The issue is that I went back to the shop where I bought the phone...
