Here is the boot animation that comes from the xoom. It works well on the Evo 3d.

It will depend on the rom your using. If you un-zip the rom your using, look in /system/customize/resource and there should be (2) .zips;
Sprint_bootanimation
Sprint_downanimation
If not, look in /data/local.
I can probably package a .zip update for you.
Edit** If you have the bootanimation in /system/customize/resource try flashing the attached .zip
Edit*** Removed Xron bootanimation.zip until I can get it fixed...
ok i am going to give it a go

I am hoping everyone's install was successful!
pretty kool looking, a live wallpaper with that honeycomb effect would be nuts
yeah i cant get it to work i think i am having a retard moment because i have done this before also i am running viper 1.3 if that matters

I use Synergy myself; copy .zip to root of SD Card. Reboot to recovery and flash through flashing menu.
Thanks this is great. One question, can it be done in red? That would be bada$$! Thanks...

See if that helps

Ok... Here's the CRT zip. This is from Android Revolution Rom modded to work with our EVO 3D. Flash this in recovery.
Works for me in the Supra rom. I'm told this works on Viper too. Maybe some more.
I would backup just to be sure.
Wipe Dalvik and make sure animations are enabled and that they are set to a normal speed - in SpareParts.

Was this taken from a Sense 3.0/gingerbread/evo 3D rom?
Does this break Wifi / USB hotspot?
It didn't work on mine. If this is what i think it is, when you push the power/sleep button it looks like a crt monitor turning off ? It would be nice if it did work though, i am using supershooter rom right now.

Quick question, flashing this file will only change the SYSTEM partition right? I'm doing a full NANDROID now, but in the future I could just do the SYSTEM portion and be safe right?
well it worked for me im on viper rom with remix kernel and thys ginger theme. I dont know what or how much of a difference its made, it seems a little more responsive, all benchmarks are about the same, i guess linpack was a little more consistant instead of numbers being all over the place. Is there somthing else i should be checking with this?

Flash the second zip. That has the hardware accelerated UI. should fix the lattency if you have any.
It needs the GPU to work on this cause it's an animation.

DESCRIPTION
This is my latest boot animation port. Found it on an Droid forum and after removing a few frames and messing with it a little I think it looks great on the Evo 3D.
I did not make the animation, but I did optimize it and rework it so that it works on our Evo 3Ds(or at least it should).
Thanks to djakrse for creating the original animation for the Droid over at DroidForums. Won't post a direct link because of the forum rules. Send me a PM if you'd like a direct link to the original creator's post.

DOWNLOADS
bootanimation_core.zip
If you already know how to change your bootanimation, rename the file to bootanimation.zip and place it in the correct folder.
Alternatively, you can flash bootanimation_core_flashable.zip in recovery. This is a modified BootScoot2 flashable zip. It will relocate where your bootanimation, downanimation, and boot sound go to /data/local and also flash this bootanimation for you.
Thanks to smokin1337 for his original BootScoot2 zip. I can't live without this. His thread is here.

Placing the zip file in the correct location should've replaced the AT&T one. You have to be running the version of Entropy's kernel that supports boot animations as well. It won't work otherwise.

I'm running Cyanogenmod 7 and it works fine on there as well.
From the .zip file you download (Biosboot.zip), extract the contents, go into the system folder, go into the media folder, and you should see bootanimation.zip.
Take that file and put it on the root of your MicroSD card.
Open the terminal emulator.
You'll need root access to execute the necessary commands:
su
mv /system/media/bootanimation.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip.bak
cp /mnt/emmc/bootanimation.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip
Note:the second line is NOT required, but I wanted to backup the default Cyanogenmod7 boot animation in case I ever decide to revert back.
This is sweet!!! Thanks!
Added zip with sounds as well.

How do we change Boot Sound ?
Wht kind of audio file type should it be ?
& wht size?
Help Plz
so i saw this commercial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9ySI7-_O0s
and had to make a boot animation from it.
basically its the whole commercial sped up to allow the phone to boot. it also has a black HTC splash screen and the original beats audio sequence slowed down a little.
flash in recovery and enjoy
(tested on CleanROM ICS , but should work for any ROM with the Vigor_VZW_bootanimtation in /system/cutomize/resource. If your boot animation is not located here, extract the file from the zip, rename it to whatever you boot animation is named and drop it in the folder after making a backup of the original boot animation zip file)
*i dont have any way of shooting a video of it in action so if someone wants to do that it would be awesome.*
DOWNLOAD - FLASH IN RECOVERY
ADD SOUND - FLASH IN RECOVERY (volume level is controlled by your "media volume" in sound settings)
BAMf USERS: download the file, move the Vigor_VZW_bootanimation.zip to data/local on your phone, change permissions to RW-R-R, reboot
REVERT TO STOCK (for clean ROM)

some roms have their boot animation in the data/local. Others have it in customization/resources I think. BAMF .7/8 has it in data/local so you would have to extract it to the location. If it is in customization/resources then just flash it in recovery.
